Great work blokes. That was a real revelation. Beautiful country. And thanks Luke for the comic relief! Looking forward to the next instalment.

Thanks Tony - it's a great stretch of the creek and the next walk will be equally remote and stunning. Luke took one for the team - I guess it's my turn next time...

Excellent. I get into such places plenty myself but its so nice to sit back at home and relax with a little edited video which really shows off the beauty of our country. The drone footage of the waterways really adds to the effect. The property owner you met loves life, her country is in good order at the end of a drought cycle, excellent indeed.

Thanks Lachlan - do you also roam the Brisbane Valley?

I have a business that extracts native seed from bushland for rehabilitation works and so thats been a cause of my presence around some of these places since say 2006. Independent seed collectors get most of the actual product now however I'm always monitoring country, profiling new introductions and spotting locations. I also like these old gold mining areas and their history. After watching your video i have done two Sunday walks around the Seven Mile Provisional Gold Field. Its quite rugged actually, maybe I'm just getting older, but that lower part of Diggings Gully..ha ha. I've driven through a few times since maybe 1995 however being on foot gets me closer to whats real. Anyhow yes I have cause to get around many places in Queensland. I find your videos relaxing and I can see places I don't get to. I suppose I'm curious and can never seem to get enough of Australian bush, I love it!

@@lachlanscanlan5621 In the upcoming video, Garry Fitz talks about the Black Bean, and its potential to help stabilise and restore river banks along the catchment. Have you done any work along the Brisbane mid river? It would be interesting to chat to you - are you a member of our facebook page?

Yes it'd be great to see the Black Beans brought back to their former glory. No facebook however I sent you an email hello Ta!

A beautiful section of creek and more rugged than I envisioned. That’d be me, like Luke, slipping and getting wet 😀

Very rugged - and even more so in the next section (Leg 6). I've been close to going in the drink more than one time, just a matter of time really.

Thankyou for this armchair journey. Last walk in QLD was getting my girls through the scout medallion hike through Mt. Barney. Similar country. Without the local contacts to get access to private land it could not of happened. I don't think it the permission would of happened if the transversing group wasn't kids.

Thanks John. We've been very fortunate with the landowners, but we also put a great deal of effort into approaching them correctly and with a mission that (hopefully) will have some benefit for the local communities, as time goes by.
