Hey guys we’ve just come across your channel and really enjoying your content, we ourselves have a small private 4x4 group here on the sunny coast, I tend to do our groups trip research and I’ve been wanting to take the boys out to the diggings but was told it’s all closed, is it open again to the general public? Keep the vids coming!
Hey, that's awesome! Thanks for watching. The only sign we saw was on the road in, indicating the road ahead and beyond was closed. I believe that is the road that goes down to either Benarkin or Linville. The diggings turns off before the sign. There were a lot of other vehicles out there when we went out too. If in doubt might need to double check with council?
@@ChaseTheWeekend The road closure only appllies to the old cattle gazette from Nanango through to Benarkin. It's a relic of private landholders that were in bed with corrupt local council members. The route is still a gazetted route, but it's possible you could be prosecuted for ignoring council road closure signage. Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap. You can still pass through on horseback or MTB or on-foot as it is only closed to motorized vehicles. Track is pretty shady in places.
Nice tip about the andos!
