52:00 Album Review/Thoughts
I think you would love guitar songs and lamour de ma vie (over now extended edit). The 30th is one of my favorite vocal moments of hers
33:47 “whoever is producing” how did y’all let this man react to all of her albums and not tell him it’s her brother😭
Bro I been reading the comments and people keep telling him in each video 😭😭
I think you didn't understand listen before i go. This song is about her leaving to jump out of the rooftop and she is not sorry for doing it. It's a very deep song it makes me cry ngl
There are a few interviews of her speaking about how close she was to commit s*icide in Berlin many years ago. And it was the same story. She wanted to jump off her hotel room balcony. Basically, the song is a s*icide note. I really don't know how people can listen to this song and not understand what it's about after hearing the chorus for the first time. It's very obvious.
She doesnt need to be screaming her lungs out to see how good her vocals are like...
Facts
I think he knows that babe
@ clearly not if he’s mentioning it every chance he gets… babe
@@lindaal7220 he’s a reactor. It’s literally his job. You don’t like it don’t watch…Babe.
@@lindaal7220 also it’s a valid criticism. Billie’s new work sounds better than her old work because she’s doing more with her voice. You Billie fans that hate criticism that Billie would genuinely appreciate always make me laugh…Babe 🥰
Mind you she was a teenager making and releasing this album, which is mind blowing what she can already do with her voice. Hit Me Hard and Soft is her first album as an adult using her more mature adult voice. Billie also stated that she started taking singing lessons where she really learned all the things her voice can do.
that’s insane to think about she’s hella talented! and that’s fire that she taking singing lessons can’t wait for what she drops next🤩
A few details:
Wish you were gay was sung to a guy who she was interested in but wasn’t interested in her. Later on he told her he actually is gay.
My strange addiction has details of The Office.
Finneas is always her Co-producer, no exceptions so far
Finneas is also who is singing harmony with her on I love you. She recently did an acoustic version of this older song for her tiny desk concert. But my favourite live version of this song is actually live at the Greek theatre.
Listen before I go, I love you, Goodbye
Are in that order at the end of the album for a reason, to read the titles like a farewell.
Listen before I go is about suicide. She had ideation and writing about it helped her deal with it but her family wasn’t very thrilled about this song.
Totally fair that you had a bad experience with bad guy and can’t stand it now, but that last little bit?! The production is sooo good. And it was Billie’s production, that part. It’s my favourite part of the song. The song is actually really intricate but because it can also be enjoyed superficially it can easily be oversaturated in a mainstream way, which I think sadly takes away from how well crafted and creative the actual song is. I’m lucky that I only heard it on its own not on radio or tv or TikTok etc so I was able to appreciate it before all that.
A lot of Billie’s singles are more melodic. I genuinely think that you’ll enjoy her first EP more than you enjoyed Happier than Ever, based on your reaction.
the layering vocal in i love you, is her brother finneas. who is also her producer for all 3 albums (she took more control for HMHAS) but its always the two of them
ALSO YES! the last song (goodbye) is lyrics from every song backwards
I dont think u understood listen before i go😭 its like a suicidal song
Production is ALWAYS Finneas. And he’s always on point.
You NEED to react to her EP - don’t smile at me, she made it when she was 14-15 and in my opinion it’s her best project
Also listen before I go is about suicide
Finneas (her brother) produces every song. Since day one they’ve been doing it together, they really are a great team
I believe you should see the videos. Mostly directed or envisioned by herself, they always complete the experience of the songs. Sometimes I understand the songs better after seeing them. From this album, I recommend "Bury a friend", "You should see me in a crown" and "When the party is over".
when the party's over is so simple and yet so perfect at the same time
I love how they use different sounds in songs. For example in “bad guy” is sound of crosswalk in Australia, in “bury a friend” sound you pointed out she actually recorded when she was in the dentist. In “I love you” there’s sound from inside the plane when it’s taking off.
In every album she refers to songs at some point. It’s either the last song like “goodbye”, “blue” or in “happier than ever” (the album) she refers some songs in “getting older” and “nda”.
49 and she is my fave of allll time.
Man you deserve more subs. I really like your reactions, you're funny and you stay true to yourself and just share your honest opinion and I respect that. I agree with your album ranking, although HTE grew on me a lot. Her brother Finneas is the genius producer on all her songs. It's incredible that they made this album in his bedroom with basic equipment when she was 16-17.
I reeally recommend you to listento her Tiny Desk, she sings some of your favourites from HMHAS and one song from this album which you also really liked (wont spoil it). Her voice really shines in a live acoustic setting, I think you would love it!
Also her Guitar Songs EP which is 2 songs is something you would like. It was released in 2022 so inbetween HTE and HMHAS, it's amazing and gut wrenching.
She also has some singles that are really good: everything i wanted, TV, The 30th.
Billie was the first and ever woman to win four all 4 major Grammies with this album.
9:27 xanny's bridge is one of the bestest things I've ever heard in my whole life - will never forget that bridge
I’d recommend making a vid on her singles. Bored, Come out and play, no time to die, tv, the 30th and what was I made for (in that order) if you wanna do any more billie stuff. Or her EP ‘don’t smile at me (expanded edition)’ cause it was her first project and has ocean eyes in it! Love your vids btw
listen before i go i love you, goodbye - THIS ALBUM IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS THIS CENTURY
If you liked this album, I 100% recommend her first EP 'dont smile at me'. This is the 'albulm' with ocean eyes on it and is such an overlooked album/EP.
Her other EP 'guitar songs' has 2 songs on it and are both absolutely amazing so I 100% recommend as well to you and also anyone else
Then ofc, she has some singles that sadly never made it onto any albums. Overall, my favourite of her songs EVER are: 'bitches broken hearts' & 'come out and play'. These are both softer songs but really sweet to listen to
And to top it all off, I definitely recommend listening to the songs she wrote and sang for movies and tv shows, such as:
'What Was I Made For?' - Barbie Movie
'No Time To Die' - No Time To Die (James Bond)
'Bored' - 13 Reasons Why
btw: She also released 'dont smile at me' in 2017, when she was 16 years old, 17 when she released 'No Time To Die', and 15 when she released 'Bored'
“The world’s a little blurry” the documentary is worth to watch! It’s showing her beginnings in the industry. You can see her growing up in the public eye, but also how she and Finneas make music. It’s on Apple TV.
When the party's over is performed on the HMHAS tour - billie gets the crowd to go silent and records the backing vocals. Its gorgeous considering how her voice is so much stronger now
Thanks for doing more Billie!’
You really should react to her music video to „Bury a friend” and „When the party’s over”
Ocean Eyes is on her EP. I think you're gonna like her EP (more).
i was literally just watching your last reaction wishing you reacted to this album! what are the chances 🤣
what can i say im a man of the people😤
I HIHGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU WATCH THE "Bury a friend" MV!! it's so good and gives context to the song
Now you have to do the EP. Her first project!
“Don’t smile at me”
She was like 15 years old for that project..
yes it’s sooooo good
Lol at your flat singing to I love you haha it’s so nice to see how much you’re enjoying yourself though I did notice that towards the end of the album your attention to the lyrics became a little less focused 😉
Billie and her brother finnens Produce everything together just the two of them
when I first listened to 'listen before i go' I didn't really pay that much attention to the lyrics so didn't know what it was about but once I found out what it was about later on after going through some serious mental health issues myself I can't listen to it without bawling. She's such a fantastic writer and I love her and Finneas for putting that song on the album
It's her first album but before she released her legendary EP...
You should listen to her ep! Its called dont smile at me, also she has a 2 song ep called guitar songs! She also has some good stand alone singles (lovely, bored, six feet under)
you could do her ep + singles!!
Plus the insanely good unreleased songs...
And yes..”goodbye” takes lyrics from the last track to the first track in order and wraps it up with a little bow..and a record player coming to a stop. Genius.
i love you is definitely one of the best songs on the album because of vocals and production quality, we thank Finneas for the amazing production on all her albums!!
i beg you to watch her documentary "a worlds a little blurry" its sooooo good
You should definitely react to her first ep don't smile at me... love ur reactions btw
You should definitly react to her music videos!!! I feel you would find them interesting!
something tells me that during bad guy he didnt realise she wasnt saying 'make your girlfriend mad type' and she was actually saying 'make your girlfriend mad tight'... also dont know if you caught on but 'listen before i go' is actually about committing suicide as billie was in a very dark place during this time and even admitted that she almost jumped of a roof on tour but the idea of her mum finding her body stopped her. shes also talked about going through rough times where she would self h@rm or as she put it she was 'bleeding on the bathroom floor every night'.but when asked by her mum if she was implying that she would actually jump of a roof she said that writing songs about it helps stop her from actually doing it. also last thing lol the person in the back is her brother who actually helped write and fully produced the whole album himself. production and recordings were all done in billies bedroom under a blanket with a mic. also can i just say i know every billie fan imagined the sob that billie did during i love you in one of her shows when she was paying a tribute to XXXTENTACION who she was close with. great reaction by the way. really appreciate someone whos not scared to be honest about what songs they do and dont like.
hello ayub, honestly im a biggest fan of billie, but i just want you to watch the music videos like they are amazing, please please watch all of them please and i just subscribed you and love how you react to the albumes thank you so much.....
Part 1/3
Info I have gathered about this album since its release
!!!!!!!!-she took out her Invisalign 🤫🫢
Bad Guy- she recently admitted that bad guy was a “dumb” song but it gave her, her life. Bad guy isn’t “dumb” it just lacks substance compared to all her other songs, the sing got its fame because it’s catchy asf and the video was a vibe.
Xanny- is about people slowly k!lling themselves with substances and substance abuse. She wanted the bass to sound like what second hand smoke would feel like.
YSSMIAC- she got this line from ‘The Reichenbach Fall - in Sherlock’ episode and thought it was dope. It’s basically stating if you think I’m powerful/confident or whatever “wait til you see me in a crown.”
ATGGGTH- she is telling us about global warming/ climate change and California wildfires. In one of the lines she says “don’t say I didn’t warn ya” which is also what she uses her platform for, to encourage us to change our ways for the betterment of our planet cause global warming is real and scary asf.
Wish you were gay-she’s hoping the reason the other person is not interested is because they are gay.
Part 2/3
When the party’s over- about the pain and complexities of a relationship that isn’t working. The song explores themes of heartbreak, longing, and the struggle to let go, even when you know it’s for the best.
8-she’s singing from the perspective of a person who she has been “playing with their feelings”. Don’t quote me but it’s something like that.
My strange addiction- the references in the song is from the show The Office.
Bury a friend- is about sleep paralysis, which she has experienced a lot. She wanted the song to sound like sleep paralysis as well.
Ilomilo- is a game where two characters, on the opposite ends of the screen, has to go through obstacles to get to each other
Part 3/3
Listen before I go- at the time she was suffering with MAJOR depression on top of the newfound fame. This song is written like a suic!de note before jumping off a building, one of the lines says “sorry there’s no way out, but down.” She adds the background noise to set the scene at the end you can hear sirens and a woman screaming. Also her mom didn’t feel okay with her putting this song on the album but Billie insisted that this song and this album is what’s keeping her from committing.
I love you-as song about being afraid to fall in love.
Goodbye- all the songs blended together
Extras:
-Finneas is her older brother, he has been producing her music basically since she came out the womb lol. But Billie has never had any other producer other than her brother however Finneas does produce other artists music. Theyve been writing songs and making music together forever and their bond is so admirable.
-Billie always finds a way to implement the titles of other songs on the album in the lasts 2 or 3 songs before wrapping up the album.
-After ‘When The Party’s Over’ she started directing her own music videos
and the person from wish you were gay actually turned out to be gay
@ oh yeah I heard that , How ironic 😂
Her and her brother make all there songs so they produce together.
He’s also the guy who sung I love you with her (fineas)
Also No time to Die. Is a great song. Won an Oscar.
Listening to "When The Party's Over" without watching the video is a crime...
Ocean eyes is on her ep don’t smile at me you need to react to it, it’s sooooo goood❤
Now listen to Don’t smile at me. Her first !
you DEFINITELY need to listen to her EP don't smile at me. i think you'll really like it, it's a lot more "singing" and less of the "monotonous" kind of songs that you don't like
FINNEAS her brother has always been the one producing with her. So pretty much "Billie Eilish" is kind of a musical duo consisting of her and Finneas (that's how I see it😅)
just to add, Finneas also makes his own music
You should react listening to her singing “ I love you” live at her hmhas tour her note change in that is beautiful
Finneas the brother of Billie is producing all of her songs
You should react to her single six feet under, loved this reaction btw❤
My strange addiction has voices taken from one episode of "The Office".
You should fr watch the music videos of all the Billie eilish songs you’ve reacted to on this channel or at least the popular music videos
React to her ep don’t smile at me you would definitely like it
You should react to her Ep don't smile at me
There’s no song can top Happier than ever!
cool reaction!
u need to react No Time To Die! Her vocal in that song so fvcking COOL! and watch the live version too!
finneas is her brother he produces most of her songs theyre such a cool duo im pretty sure he produced all of her albums
now listen to «don’t smile at me»😜
“When the party’s over” when you said that part sounds mad familiar?
If you heard the most recent Niki Minaj album, Niki had the entire song sampled for the first track on the album “are you gone already.”
That could be why it sounded familiar
YOU’LL LOVE HER EP IT’S THE MOST SIMILAR TO HIT ME HARD AND SOFT
Next the EP 😌
You should do a reaction to guitar songs. Its only 2 songs so in the same reaction you could also do her other singles like no time to die or even lamour de ma vie (over now extended edit)
FINNEASE HERE BROTHER BRO THEY'RE THE BEST DOU
If you like vocals listen to no time to die ❤
All the good girls go to hell is extremely relevant right now. The song is about climate change, a conversation between gods from the perspective of the devil about the world and people on it

Bad guy was worst?!?! Hello😭
You should see me in a CROWN
Has big ass
Oh the MISERY
Vibes. You’re right

I think you might like “no time to die” better than birds!!
Her brother finneas produces all of her songs! All the good girls go to hell is more about global warming - love the reaction!
