I replaced my uppers and re used the fixed bolts that are stock and didn’t realize these were a thing. Thank you, now I can fix this damn truck alignment.
Great video thank you very much! While I was watching you holding the new Bolt next to the old Bolt I got a brilliant idea. I took the nut side of the old setup and ground the square plate into a round plate. Presto! Now my Ranger has an adjustable camber/Castor set up. And it works too ! That was AFTER I paid an alignment shop $120 and they couldn't fix the camber of my left front wheel.... Thanks again, great video!
THANK YOU!!!!!! Just changed the upper and lower A arms and the shop told me to buy these before they could align the ranger. Wasnt sure how to install and now I do. Thank you so much.
Thank you very much! This makes me think that I could actually most definitely replace mine myself. I’ve always wanted to be able to work on my own vehicle and I’m excited!!
Great video you’ve answered all of life questions .I was trying to figure out how to correct my 2002 Ford expedition this video just showed me how thank you
I recently replaced the inner and outer tie rods on my 96 Ford Explorer. Today I finished installing my cam bolts but haven't really adjusted anything.
Good video brother. Im working on a commander that i lifted 3 inches and no-one make the upper arms. Not they are stretch out. Do you have any idea how to modify it or maybe using one from a different vehicle with some fabrication possibly?
Hold the phone, i just came in the house, I was able to adjust the passenger side no problem but there was no way to get at the drivers side bolt heads to adjust them what did you remove please. I have a 2008 ranger sport 4 x 4.
Hello...why are you placing the small washer on the INSIDE of the larger CAM adjustment washer? Seems like there are several similar videos showing the small washer being place on the OUTSIDE of the larger CAM adjustment washer. Just wondering which way is correct and why. thanks.
If you look at the factory alignment lock plates, they have a fixed washer on the inside as well. If that washer is installed on the outside, it binds with the brackets and the bolts can't be tightened properly as you may have a gap between the camber plate and control arm brackets.
@BKD Vickers not strange at all... more tire wear means more tire purchases... they were hoping people wouldn't notice and just keep buying tires... and it probably worked for the most part. the oil industry is a monster. they care only about profits.

Gracias, desde Monterrey Nuevo León, México.
Nice , thanks for making the video.
Thanks for watching!
I doubt it matters but the 1a auto install had the hardware orientation as Cam Bolt, washer, caster washer, frame, caster washer, washer, nut.
Good job on the video. I learned a thing or two.
Thank you so much!
Hey bro, can i adjust camber before i take it to do an alignment
Good video brother. Im working on a commander that i lifted 3 inches and no-one make the upper arms. Not they are stretch out. Do you have any idea how to modify it or maybe using one from a different vehicle with some fabrication possibly?
hello do you have any links to buy it?
Which way should the shims face up or down
How are these trucks aligned at the factory if they don't have adjustments?
Everything is new and it's all calculated in my engineers. Quicker assembly than having to align every single vehicle.
So my stock bolts on my 94 ranger aren’t adjustable ? My camber is way high on one side and the tire shop didn’t do anything about it .
The one comment I really wanted to see a reply to doesn’t have a reply. it’s been two years and no one has answered your question

Again… thank you!!
No problem, happy to help!
If you have a 3 inch drop coil will this fix most of the negative camber
There are various versions available. That is a large drop, so drop spindles maybe a better option however they would be more expensive.
Is there a number we have to torque the nut to the bolt?
It's 35 to 46 ft lbs.
@@4DIYers google said 100lb....
Hey man thank you very much for this video
Ciao hai qualche link per acquistarlo?
Thanks my dude. Much help
Happy to help!
Link to the the bolts?
Helpful big dog
Thank you!
Thank you for the video.
Good job
Thank you!
man the one on the sport trac is a pain no room stuff in the way
Should I tell the alignment shop that I've installed a camber bolt kit since they probably already know rangers and explorers don't have adjustment?
yep. if u have the bolts installed they will do it
What happens if all shims race down?
i'm trying to instal one camber bolt, but on a volvo c30 ;(
Did you ever do a video on the caster/camber and toe settings?
It's on the list of being put together, I can probably have it out in a few weeks time.
@@4DIYers Can i ask what the factory specs are suppose to be we are doing my alignment this weekend and having hard time finding what the specs are.
What is the diameter of these camber washer lobe ?
quality video.
PERFECTO MB EXPLICADO. GRACIAS SERE NEW SEGUIDOR TUYO

97 explorer here. alignment shop basically wants 250 to install these (includes parts) i got the parts for 80 so i want to save myself 170 bucks.
My 89 ford ranger has a totally different camber ujuster bolt.
Your truck has different suspension, it has a twin i-beam setup instead.
@@4DIYers yep
THANNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
You can just remove the locking plate and it’s the same thing
Massa
also explorer
Thank you! Didn’t realize they were the same.
i thinks the old square washers are from factory then why they didnt think haveing alingment bolts was nacesary?
