    Adding that petro and putting electricity to it and a light touching it with back of hand - unique way of finding shorts and hot areas - better than multimeter

    Anyone can answer my questions? :
    -What kind of petrol are you using to find out heated cap? is this harmful for circuit?
    -Cap is out so do you consider to replace or can leave as that?
    -You used VCC for first cap both side. What is logic here? It that safe?

      First search for the biggest cap , then on diode mode check continuity with ground on both sides of the cap , the connected side will be the ground and the other will be the plus

But when I plug it in with the charger I can hear something but not coming on. Is there a chance u could help me what I have to change. Thanks Rocky.

    Maybe because the battery output is 1.6A and i didn't want to go further on the main power rail?

    • @roner61

      Its a random value, probably based on his experience. The idea is to produce enough heat to detect it avoiding the component total destruction.

    Sorin, you should get a FLIR camera to find easily what's getting hot, trust me in your job it worth the money (normally it doesn't but in your case you will use it a lot). You can even buy a defective one from ebay and repair it yourself.

    • @beogeek
      @beogeek 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A cheap FLIR is not worth it, as the quality in picture will be so shit you won't be able to pin point which part exactly is getting hot, unlike alcohol or freeze spray.

    • @FixDaily
      @FixDaily 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with BeoGeek, cheaper ones doesn't perform well. If you want a good one it will take a lot of money that you need to work for in the future.

Battery is ok 4.0V and when i use the linear power supply on the battery pins it takes only 0.06 Amps. So i guess there has to be a fault on the processor or the Power IC. How can someone specify where the fault is in this case?
