  • "It is not the strongest of the species that survives,
nor the most intelligent that survives.
It is the one that is most adaptable to change."
    - Charles Darwin
In our everchanging world, we have before us an uncertain future, characterized by large-scale technological changes and global environmental challenges. In such a scenario, it helps to be an explorer, juggler, a generalist rather than a specialist. Having broad knowledge across topics, can help to navigate any challenges the world may throw. Not limiting oneself to a particular silo, helps to explore things beyond, keep the mind creative, drawing connections across domains.
Therefore, the future belongs to the most agile learner. Mridu is an interdisciplinary designer (and a reluctant entrepreneur) who loves doing a variety of things. Her interests are driven by cross-cultural interjections across design and architecture. Traversing from education to practice, academia to management, since 2011, Mridu has been instrumental in initiating and running one of India’s first design thinking colleges called The Design Village with a vision to impact through design. Mridu started her career with a notable architecture firm, Archohm. As a partner at the studio, she handles a versatile portfolio that actively contributes to finding contemporary directions in Indian architecture. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
