I love watching the 924 episodes! So good. I went camping with my 924 twice, in Sweden and Germany mainly. Didn't sleep in it, because, well, because of the reasons explained in this video, but I've always wanted to. Thank you for showing it really is possible. Only problem I'm having now is the K-jetronic system screwing me and me not really willing to fix any of it because it's a 40+ year old car and I'm angry with it most of the time. But hey! Thank the heavens for you guys, you do make me want to drive mine again! Cheers.
Honestly would love to see this car stripped down to the chassis, everything fixed, every bolt and nut replaced, undersealed, engine completely rebuilt and the car painted. Just a full on rebuild. Even if it's a slow progress that takes a couple years with gradual updates it would be awesome to see a 40 year old car given a new life

Reminds me of the time I bought my 2001 Honda Prelude in Upstate NY and drove it back to Florida. I was so tired I had to pass out in a rest area. I folded the backseat down and put my feet in there and slept for a few hours there! It worked great actually until it got too cold and I'd need to restart the car. I kinda miss those fun days. Can't do it now with the speakers in the trunk and we have a minivan for the family car which can easily sleep people in. This is a fun video!
One thing I'll never understand is the push towards short form videos. You guys must have had a decent amount of footage from this trip alone to get 30 minutes and the iceland trip could have been an hour long in one video. Ya know something I can watch while having my tea, we're not all ADHD addled kids and the standard format of TV has worked for decades 😅

I love the 924 content, that car is awesome. Also, camping in that thing doesn't seem as bad as you'd think, if you put an inflatable mattress in the space between the seats and the rear bench, you could probably sleep perfectly fine in there. a small, electric heater for condensation, and its a perfectly fine camper. I once slept in the back of my MK3 Focus, not the wagon type, because I refused to sleep in a camper. it was hell, because the rear bench did not fold completely flat and I couldn't stretch out my legs. but eh, I had sleep, that's what matters.
I took a 25 year old corvette convertible on a 3 week, 6000 mile road trip with camping supplies for 2 (tent,sleeping bags,bed rolls, bear vault) and it was great. Lots of interested people....its a conversation starter when you show up to a campsite with the top down! "Where do you fit it all???" "That's not a Jeep!"
A mates old Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 had those electrical issues too. You could have wipers, but no lights. Lights but no wiper. Music but no lights, music but no wipers etc hahahaha!
For two people this is quite small but for one person, totally doable, I have slept in cars with less space. The possibility to camp out in a car (on my own) is more of a selling point for me than I'd like to admit. This video shows me that I can totally get a 924.
Not really surprised the car couldn't make the trip on its own power, but really surprised they managed to both get a good 10-hour sleep despite the compromised room and the air with more humidity than oxygen...

I've been seriously considering sleeping a few nights in my classic Hatchback (an mk3 Fiat 127) while on my coming roadtrip to Germany. If I set aside my subwoofer (no joke it looks like a nitrous bottle) I can already sleep in the luggage compartment. Not stretched but in the fetus position. So if I fold down the rear seats and put the front seats forward I can sleep stretched out. So seeing you lads do the same in, possibly unarguably, a less roomy and comfy car than mine is just a treat. XD
This is without doubt the best of the three "ex-CT" channels. I really like the laidback style and how comfortable Jack and Ethan are with each other.
