I think I got recommended twoset after listening to this (among others) and not having heard of them before, and now I've watched dozens and dozens of their videos.
Elijah Harris Where the hell did you get that idea from? Ling Ling, Lang Lang, Ling Ling?? It’s just Ling Ling. He’s the only person there. But Lang Lang is a person in real life.
Elijah Harris What the fuck. Do you even fucking know who made the Ling Ling joke? And what it actually means? 9 days a week? They never fucking mention that shit.
in Betawi culture (Jakarta) we have 3 musical instruments that are the same as this because of the acculturation of Chinese culture in the past but a little different because at the ends we use coconut shells and we call them Tehyan, Kongahyan and Sukong ❤️
I can't make the galloping sound on the erhu no matter how hard I've tried. This piece was really fun to learn/play so I really want to learn how, to complete it.
@@simpletn th-cam.com/video/fZ5G66XfIPw/w-d-xo.html You should check out Lucie Horsch, she's a natural at the recorder, it's not as bad as everyone thinks.
@@LeesChannel calling it a fiddle is very downgrading and it looks nothing like a fiddle. traditional instruments need attention and giving it some stupid western name just covers up the fact that it's chinese. I hate that even Chinese are thinking instruments from other countries are cooler than our own!! now our own imstruments are given western names! great!! I find this name insulting. I don't want traditional stuff that should stay traditional getting mixed up with other messy things. if we dont tell ppl that "THIS is a CHINESE instrument and it's COOL!!" sooner or later it's existence is gonna disappear and no one would know how to play it!!
this playing is great but animal racing is cruel. I was just looking to listen to some erhu, but I used to work in dog sled racing and now i tell everyone how cruel racing is. Horse racing is bigger than dog sled racing and there is more money in it, the life of a race horse is not an easy one. I asked on the equine vet reddit page their opinion about racing and none of it was good. one person said they "want to help sick animals, not repair peoples broken gambling machines" Animal racing is cruel.
he's just great. realy enjoyed his playing. and so many Ling Ling wannabes in the comments, amazing. guess i try to learn horse racing on banjo now...back to practising!
You can only hear this type of music in movies where there's a big chunky thief with the shape of a panda whose stealing buns and drinking baiju while jumping over the stalls and breaking vases.

My favorite chinese musicial instrument and one of my fave chinese national song! Amazing!! I'm in love with the sound of Erhu!
the sound at the beginning and the end sounds like a horse neighing
Jing Wen Loo that’s the point
That’s the point
Thats why the name is horse racing
No shit
... i’m just not gonna say anything-
How is it possible to put a dislike in front a so nice and exquisite performances? People are deaf
maybe because it was mediocre, no offence (this is a meme from the rush e video I don't actually think it's mediocre)

You're amazing!
Amazing and inspiring
Soon as I heard it... Amazing
I want more lol
You hear and see an ancient instrument whose sound is almost sacred... played by a guy in jeans and a t shirt
So what? Music isn't a dead art to be admired from a distance is it? Did you want him wearing some ancient costume? Wouldn't that be ridiculous?

200 sets of erhu!!1

It's so cool how he can play the piano alongside it without even touching it
