      Have you found out if you can put 32GB of ram?

    • @tgdhsuk3589
      @tgdhsuk3589 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ikr its dam annoying for 2300 not 32gb standaard
      if only it was easier to upgrade, and a freaking m.2 ssd slot
      also i would have wanted 65 deg for cpu at this price 72 max
      also its concerning that negative airflow willll be a dust magnet
      otherwise in a few iterations i believe it wil surely be the one pc
      finally i think corsair could charge 1200 +- 20% to replace the gpu if you want to upgrade without voiding warranty, you can just send it to them and they replace it
      i seriously think that 32gb should be standard tho at above 1800 £

    I don't see how this is for the DIY person, to the fact it voids your warranty just for opening it up. and to upgrade it at any time you would have to wait a year or more for your warranty to expire before you can think about changing anything inside of it.

    • @NedRigNerd
      @NedRigNerd 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sorry but if your blowing over a grand for a computer, and then have to change cpu in a couple years then you are stupid cause a build of that price you shouldn't have to worry about upgrading shit for years and years to come

    Comments "pre-build are shit" are coming. But this particular PC is designed very . Double water cooling (cpu and gpu) in that size is nearly impossible in a "normal" case.

      Only problem I’ve come across is I can’t change out the GPU so it’s not quite a “prebuilt for diy gamers” I was on the cusp of getting the 1070 out and even had it wiggling around in the case, but alas, there’s a special way they keep the gpu in that I’d have to break an already great graphics card to replace it with a slight upgrade.

    I have the Corsair One Elite for about 4-5 months now and all I can say is wow. Its a very god damn good PC for its size. I have not had any problems with it at all. One thing I do hate about is the lack of usb on the front and the positioning of the air intake and the lack of rgb customization on the front. its a solid baby blue. As far as playing any game, haven't had no drop of fps or temps getting too hot. its a pretty solid pre built for people who cant build a PC.

    It does look pretty nice for a pre-built, but I just can't imagine myself spending an extra £700 for the 'convenience' of it being pre-built. I would enjoy building it myself, so i'm not going to spend £700 to take away the fun.

    • @gamingatitsfinest56
      @gamingatitsfinest56 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Skirrow fun? LOL I'm so overwhelmed trying to gather knowledge and information on PC builds (trying to plan out my first build and first pc in general). If I came across I would spend the money on it. However I feel that I would be putting myself at a disadvantage for future pcs since just buying prebuilts seems very pathetic and ignorant. Even if money isn't a factor I feel that building your own pc is part of the pc gaming experience and culture. With that said I'm still scared to death and overwhelmed to the point of just saying forget it lol.

    Just for information the Motherboard is a CUSTOM Mobo from MSI specially for Corsair ONE.
    The only MSI Z270 Mini-ITX Board is the Carbon PRO which has Black/Carbon-Finish Heatsinks and not Red ones like inside this PC.
    There is only 1 problem I have with the CPU. It isnt delidded. Delidding may drop the Temperatures by up to 30°C. 60°C on 4.5GHz Stock and 80°C with 5GHz should be possible with delidding.
    Why don't you try it Bitwit or is the Corsair just leased?

    Hey, Bitwit-
    I was wondering if you could do a video (or maybe a whole series) where you compare expensive peripherals to their cheapest counterparts, seeing what you should consider, for people like "casual gamers" wishing to upgrade.
    Maybe bring in an array of the peripherals, like if you wanted to try with mice, you could try:
    A cheap, generic mouse from a dollar store or Poundland.
    A slightly more expensive generic mouse, the sort of one you can get for £4 in most shops.
    A lower-end branded mouse like the HAVIT HV-MS745
    A high-grade branded mouse like the Logitech G504, or Deathadder.
    Then a super expensive one that'd cost as much as a cheap computer (I'm sure you can think of something...)

    Let it be said I was originally against getting a Pre-built PC.
    I got it as a starting point.
    I think pre-builds are starting to come around. I got a pre-built while the fiasco of bitcoin was going strong. Its a reasonable powerful PC. My only complaint is it has an AMD wraith spire CPU cooler and came stock OC to 3.8 (witch is a bit high for a wraith to handle. I dropped it to 3.7, and im going to get a Cooler Master Hyper RR-212E to replace the wraith) and 1x1 8 GB of ram. i'm running 12 now as an upgrade.

    Negative pressure inside and passive rads are questionable - 83C on CPU is A LOT for a water cooling. They could have used 4 thinnest coolers on a market and add like 12 mm width and get positive case pressure + a lot better cooling overall.

    • @Shadow0fd3ath24
      @Shadow0fd3ath24 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Devan Waldock delidding gives almost NO benefit when your case has terribly negative pressure and is a heaterbox lol. Even then it's overrated and usually only gives a few degrees for most people

    • @theezain
      @theezain 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ShadowOfDeath24 - 1) negative pressure has no real impact on temperature. As long as there is airflow, components will cool. 2) the cooling on the cpu side is done the same as on the gpu side and the gpu runs mega cool which indicates that the cooling capability is most likely fine. 3) look at the hordes of videos of people delidding specifically the 7700k and you will see very significant temperature drops in all of them.
      The 7700k has garbage thermal paste and even on custom loops that run super cool, people are experiencing temperatures like the pc featured here.

    • @XxViciousxX
      @XxViciousxX 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got about a 25c drop in temps with my 7700k delid. My 7700k was at 4.7 at 1.2v 78c after delid same overclock settings max temp 54c now its at 5.1 at 1.38v 68c . Intel uses the worst thermal paste in between the die and the IHS. So it doesn't mater what cooling you have if the heat cant be transferred from the die to the IHS properly, My cooler is a EK Predator 240.

    CPU temps are partially Intel's fault for using cheap thermal paste AGAIN. Delid the 7700k, use some liquid metal between the CPU die and heat spreader, then some thermal grizzly kryonaut between the heatspreader and AIO block, and drop a good 20c and your golden for a possible 5ghz overclock on this.

    While I like watching builds in all of these really tiny ITX cases other than a HTPC or similar situation where you need it to fit into a cabinet or blend in with a receiver and such I just don't see the point.
    Mid towers or even MATX can be quite space efficient without any of the drawbacks.

      Kirkious You won't be needing more than 16 gigs of RAM, unless you're a content creator.

      You mean 16GB of SLOW RAM. I mean, come on, at least bump it (at that price I'd expect 3,000 at minimum).

    with two aio's, does it matter how you transport the corsair one? should it always be in the upright position, does laying it on its sides create potential problems with aio's? what is the general consensus of airline companies on carrying these kind of computers in the cabin? especially with voiding the warranty of one if you need to open it to drain the liquid.

    For such a high price of a prebuild pc you would expect to have full display outputs from the Mainboard AND GPu and not those limited options, weird

    Are you sure you quoted the cooling volume of 12 liters???? that is over 3 gallons of fluid and even most cars use 2 gallons or less.

    @Bitwit What are your thoughts on the watercooling? I kinda prefer not having to worry about refills and maintenance on these components, apart from the slight risk of leakage ofc.

    was considering getting this in 2018/19 but didn't want to be stuck with a 7700k due to intels shitty backwards compatibility, now I have no worries
