You could use the build for the rogue trader sanctified psyker officer with minor adjustments, since Heinrix is a warrior. Heinrix is a biomancer/sanctic, though. He starts with a biomancer staff, but it's still possible to find the sanctified staff for him as well. You can follow the guide for the most part, but substitute any officer power/talent selections with psyker or warrior picks. He's also good as an assassin.

However, I noticed something here I think will be important for any updated vid. At 11:00, you start talking about Steady superiority upgrade. "any upgrade, since you will just be using your soldier ability" oh, HECK no,. Steady superiority is now one of the best heroics. Free attack with main weapon every turn, till the end of combat. EVERY TURN. including freed turns from finest hour, and officers. honestly this would have been true even when you made this vid. so I think you were really overlooking how good this was, given all the bonus ap looping/etc. but even then the free turn spam... I may have to test this more. make sure thats whats actually happening. I think it is. atm, I have her with precise bolter main hand, and heavy bolter weapon 2. and it only seems to give the free attacks to the precise bolter. ah, I think I see it. I think "heave gunners" -1 ap, min 1, might be overriding the free attack. so the "free" attack for heavy bolters still costs 1 ap.
Try the compensator gloves they increase rate of fire scaled with ballistic skill which archmilitants stack to the moon and you can see where I'm going here. She ends up emptying her entire mag in 1 burst!

hi, i face a problem with bosses, when their deflection is too high and i cant find a way to low it, and coz of that, my bursts are uneffective. What would be your advise?
is muzzle velocity really a good pick? It seems like a rather minor damage increase compared to how useful some of the other optional perks you suggested are.
Its a pretty ridiculous pick. Its not even an early game pick since its mostly a +4 additional damage to a burst that can potentially do 40+ damage overall. Id rather get swift slaughter so i can spam run n gun faster.
thank you for build! But... i got little issue... I dont have "face of the sovereign" how it is possible? (lvl 31) I read somewhere that these are limited items, sometimes for early purchase of the game...
The "Shot Through" exemplar talent is kinda too good to not take. The overpenetration bonus it gives, especially paired with your busted Ballistic Skills stats buffed by versatility and whatnot, makes the Heavy Bolter's burst fire a proper area attack, butchering a shit ton of High HP enemies in a click.
I wish autoguns in the game were more powerful. Right now I have a Ministorum Priest, warrior archetype with primary melee (hammer) and autogun secondary. I wanted my character to emulate the Zealot class in Darktide.
The M40 Autogun is one of the best early-game rifles in the game. Range of 12 (same as a bolter), ROF of 7, damage is 4-7 per shot(I think), so your burst fire (with rapid fire triggered) is 14 shots. Recoil is only 15 versus a bolters recoil of 40 - so far more of your shots go where you want them to, only real limiting factor is the mag size at 24. One rapid fire burst is 14 shots, leaving only ten in the mag for your next burst. Easily mitigated by taking rapid reload and then respecing out of that once you get heavy weapons with massive ammo counts. You can get one of these rifles before you even hit the first chapter planet - during the worker revolt scenario with Abelard, if you chose to shoot the workers at the end - you'll find this rifle on one of the rebellious worker's bodies. You can get another from the funeral scenario at Footfall. That's the only two instances of the rifle that I'm aware of,.so it's quite rare too.
@@MrLindzFolkz I used the Toy Box mod to check the existence of any unique weapons. The best autogun is currently the Experimental Assault Rifle. Base damage is 11 to 19. Burst rate is 7. Its unique property is that the burst fire is randomly split between a further three modes, with different RoF and damage.
Which do you prefer between Sniper Argenta and Bolter Argenta for a party without any Mercs? I notice you like to use an officer Merc but I would prefer to stick with stock companions and am starting out on unfair for my first run (after having done unfair as a third run in each of KM/WotR thanks to your guides). I just finished footfall having used the sniper build until now but now that I've accessed the single bolt accuracy accessory things have opened up and I'm feeling very indecisive given how effective Sniper Argenta has been thus far.
For Act 2-5, Burst. For Act 1 Unfair, definitely Sniper with Longlas! Thankfully you can respec her as soon as the Heavy Bolter becomes available at the start of Act 2.
I'm currently doing the sniper argenta build and i'm in Act 3, why do you prefer the burst build? I was thinking about changing it up but truly i have no reason to do so because i have crushed every encounter in unfair so far@@cRPGBro Also, do you have a mod to speed up combat animation or did you speed up the video?
This is kinda what I went with after I saw the Ulfar build and applied it to Argenta and I gotta say, I kinda optimized the fun outta my game. Its so stupidly powerful I ended almost every fight within the first turn. I mean it was great at first but after a while you realize you trivialize fights with it.
I like this build quite a bit more than the previous one, not just because it’s more thematic but because it’s more versatile. It can snipe just as well while taking full advantage of the advanced burst weapons later. For at least the early part of Chapter 2, Argenta still benefits greatly from sniper weapons. The Rebel leader rifle (from Rykad Starport) or the Needle rifle (which has armor penetration of 40% and high base damage) are worthy replacements, at that point, for the longlas (which still does yeoman work, for members of the party with lower Ballistic skill). There have been times that, on large battle maps, she was able to kill enemies 25+ squares away, through cover, with a sniper weapon. This is not a feat I’ve seen her do (yet) with a Heavy Bolter, so having both weapons and alternating between them seems like a good way to build versatility stacks.
I had my argenta shelved after her nerfs, but I had just found yrilet and she does alot.of dmg now... I am going to have to grab argenta again and try this one out!
Yah once i got the heavy bolter, suddenly she just got really dang broken. Round one or two the combat is over, and thats BEFORE i get concentrated fire in the 30+ levels...
First off just wanted to say love all your builds! Keep it up! Any chance you'll do a melee assassin Rogue Trader build soon? It's what I'm playing and I'm just starting act 3 and it's just feels underwhelming.
I believe it's meant to only works for Area attacks, like Flamer & Overcharge Plasma hits. For some reason Burst is not classified as Area for a lot of feats/abilities, but is for some like Concentrated Fire.
A lot of DPS builds will be doing just fine, considering how broken officers are. Still, I'm not sure I would forfeit Heightened Concentration (which is a Bounty Hunter talent, not an Arch-Militant one) : this talent alone is what makes Argenta so great even versus highly armored bosses. I guess you chose Arch-Militant this time for the sake of diversity... Also, Bounty Hunter's Claim the Bounty has really good synergy with Entrench (which you seem to undervalue for some reason) : it allows to gather and save APs from the first bonus turns given by officers (via Bring it Down!), and then use those APs on the first turn given by Finest Hour! You can easily have a turn with 10 APs and *alot* of shots that way. Also, unrelated to what precedes : There are black and purple versions of the Signet of the Inquisition, which are even better. I gave mine to Cassia since she's the Persuasion expert.
Archmilitant was chosen because of talents specific to that archetype that support a heavy weapon build (e.g. increased damage of each bullet via versatility stacks and talents that reduce the AP cost of heavy weapons). I tried burst weapons with the Bounty Hunter build and found that, without the Archmilitant talents, they are much less effective than sniper weapons, in large part because of the 3 AP cost per burst.
Black ring of the Inquisition is amazing, one of the best items in the game. My main is using it and has about 250 persuasion for huge buffs. As for arch militant, this is great. Particularly and almost a must for heavy weapon users.
Dude you always come through with the best explanations of combat mechanics and character building. Any chance you've got a Meltafun/Multimelta build in the works. That and a Pious Vorne style build would be amazing to play with.
Aww man, concentrated fire is a bug!? Crap, I like to rapid fire and concentrated fire on big bosses which effectively quadruples damage with no other buffs and more if I’m buffed up by an officer and class perks.
i spend more time watching these videos than playing, I got toybox and i never played rogue trader before and i keep remaking all my characters. I am on unfair tbh i think combat medic helps out on the lower levels
It seems like no one making character builds is doing anything but Officer builds for the PC, and honestly.... they're boring to play. Between Argenta, Pascal, Cassia, and Ulfar, the DPS is more than covered, and it kinda makes being anything but an officer for your main character pretty much pointless, which I think is an unfortunate design choice. In games like this, I usually like to make my main characters either skill monkeys or the primary DPS of the group. It really feels like no other NPC can step into the Officer role and take over as the party buffer without a complete overhaul with mods. I know being an Officer is the meta, but... ugh. Is there a build (without mods) where another NPC can be the primary party buffer instead of the Rogue Trader, and a separate build for the Rogue Trader to make them a skill monkey/DPS character without making major sacrifices somewhere?
I dunno, I am having no issue with my melta mc build and using only companions. Cass, Pasq, Jae are support, Abe is tank, Arg is ranged dps, my mc is melta playing up with abe. You can easily use Idira and Hein as extra buffers and not for dps.
You don't really need the meta for lower difficulties. You can play on Daring or even Hard while disregarding the Officer meta entirely. The point of the Officer meta is that on Unfair your characters are (relatively speaking) super squishy, so logic dictates that you try to get rid of the enemies as fast as possible, preferably in the first turn before they can do anything, which leads to the hyper-efficient (but eventually rather boring) Officer meta playstyle (I say "boring" because it means hardly any of your party ever gets to do anything except officers, argenta and maybe cassia). But you don't really _need_ that hyper efficiency on lower difficulties, you can quite easily play kind of "normally" with your characters and the enemies taking turns, doing some damage to each other, etc. I suspect Owlcat are aware of this and will probably nerf the Officer thing a bit eventually (though it's difficult to see how they would do it without totally ruining the Officer's speciality - maybe some kind of long cooldown on Bring it Down would be a start, maybe nerf momentum generation a little bit). Perhaps also, Grand Strategist's first turn and the Officer first turn should be mutually exclusive somehow.
I think that if Owlcat is going to nerf Officer’s ability to give extra turns (e.g. by adding a cooldown), it would be welcome for them to give the other archetypes ways to gain extra attacks. Some already have such abilities- e.g. Soldier’s Run and Gun and Bounty Hunter’s Collect Bounty. Perhaps increasing the number of attacks as a natural level up bonus, like D&D 3.5 does, may be one way to distribute this benefit more equitably and reduce reliance on the Officer meta. And on Unfair difficulty, you will need those extra attacks. Right now, combat balance swings between extremes- either you abuse skills that stack turns and damage and obliterate enemies in 1 or 2 turns or you don’t and they do the same to you. There’s very little middle ground.
I have already made Argenta Kasie Pascal and Edira stupid strong to break everyone in 1 turn, your guides destroy the game, there is no challenge once you understand the power of officer`s.
I wish the gameplay demo's you used were 1) from the start of the fight so it's clear this includes the officer buffs - who are really doing the heavy lifting. I know you mention them but it needs to be shown. Feels disingenuous. 2) of more difficult fights. It's always a short clip of a boss 1 shot at the end of a fight or the same act2 zombie mook fight with characters 10 levels higher than you normally are. At this point it's impossible to see all the buffs and debuffs being deployed. A boss could be 1-shot by a level 1 character with a needle pistol if you stack enough buffs. 3) pulling up the character screen at each step so people can see the scaling at each step
You can get a lot of the officer buff stacking idea in the video "BEST STRATEGY to get OP EARLY even on UNFAIR: th-cam.com/video/a6NgAJlqsqM/w-d-xo.html".

I already did this build on my own. But it's nice to see it with a different build. Actually, this more feels like more maximized.
Burst is always fun!
Thank you! This feels way more like argenta, lol.
Always glad to provide more fun builds!
@@cRPGBro now I got to figure out what to do with idira since I don't have a bounty hunter in my party anymore, lol
I had my argenta shelved after her nerfs, but I had just found yrilet and she does alot.of dmg now... I am going to have to grab argenta again and try this one out!
Argenta was nerfed?
Yah once i got the heavy bolter, suddenly she just got really dang broken. Round one or two the combat is over, and thats BEFORE i get concentrated fire in the 30+ levels...
Yep, Heavy Bolter really makes it a lot better from Act 2 onwards.
But how do you get that Camaraderie bonus so high?
My only problem with this is it’s hard for me to keep track of which levels are getting what lol
I gotta say, this is an excellent build but I’m surprised you didn’t squeeze rapid reload into it.
Why do most builds stop at lvl 40? The game definitely does not end there
Perfection! thank you my king
bro how did you equip heavy bolter on her at 35 strength?
First off just wanted to say love all your builds! Keep it up!
Any chance you'll do a melee assassin Rogue Trader build soon?
It's what I'm playing and I'm just starting act 3 and it's just feels underwhelming.
Do flamers count melta weapons?
No
Nope! They also require different proficiency and have different specialization feats.
Is there any other good end game bolters? the faction that sells this one is usually not one I get high rep with. xD
There's They Shall Weep at Act 5, I believe!
Can we have Soldier > Master tactician build? I can kinda make it work on unfair but it's always good to know how to break the game with it.)
Yep, I'm planning on that for a Flamer Build soon!
Did they fix point blank? Because mine doesn't work at all, no armour penetration on her build at all without operatives debuffs
I believe it's meant to only works for Area attacks, like Flamer & Overcharge Plasma hits.
For some reason Burst is not classified as Area for a lot of feats/abilities, but is for some like Concentrated Fire.
im guessing if you are now using the pyro psyker build for mc (soldier) then no point taking 'doing my part' as you would have two soldiers in party?
Yep!
Where do you get the metronome?
It's from one of the Act 1 Trade Factions, but only during Act 1 for some reason!
Guys where do you get this Face of the Sovereign (Head Piece)?
Free DLC called Limited Outfit and it will spawn in a chest inside your room!
@@cRPGBro so ive had it all along! ty ! :3
The Argenta sniper nerf has been rough times. I've had to be nice to Xenos since that happened :(
Man I run her with Cassia and Jae and usually no one else gets a turn...she kills everything.
Where can I get the face of the sovereign?
You have to download the Free DLC called "Limited Outfit", should be in your room afterwards!
@@cRPGBro thx!
Why your heavy bolter recoil is so low? Mine is 40.
Recoil Gloves reduces it by 50%, the same for Pasqal's Machine Spirit Communion ability!
So, Ulfar build for Argenta?
Argenta is... better than him to be fair due to more customizability & gear access!
Aww man, concentrated fire is a bug!?
Crap, I like to rapid fire and concentrated fire on big bosses which effectively quadruples damage with no other buffs and more if I’m buffed up by an officer and class perks.
Apparently it is! I think Burst is not meant to be classified as Area Attack.
This build still viable for 1.2 patch?
nah
i spend more time watching these videos than playing, I got toybox and i never played rogue trader before and i keep remaking all my characters. I am on unfair tbh i think combat medic helps out on the lower levels
To anyone asking; no, this build is no longer viable.
Why?
Concentrated Fire no longer works with burst attacks.
darn it
Well, it's the same thing as Ulfar but with Argenta.
Do something new mb flaming mele build or stuff...
Argenta Burst has been requested a lot, as I went Sniper first with her.
Flamer will come next!
@@cRPGBro i meant melee pyro psyker (if that's anything good) but whatever =)
Ah, yeah, the only true build for argenta.
Game has been unfun since the combat did not last longer than Argenta's turn.
Gotta have the Officers buffs first though 😁
There’s very little middle ground.
i think than mc is better than argenta because of halo device and colony buff
I have already made Argenta Kasie Pascal and Edira stupid strong to break everyone in 1 turn, your guides destroy the game, there is no challenge once you understand the power of officer`s.
Officers are truly the best!
Are you Brazilian? your accent cant fool me :P
Sim 😃
hehehe, sabia. Belo canal, sucesso amigo@@cRPGBro
Argenta is broken OP as a AM heavy bolter and trivializes the game on unfair
who would win;
warriors trained for millennia, blessed by the ruinous powers, and clad in advanced power armor.
an angry nun with an M2 Browning.
She's very, very angry.
I wish the gameplay demo's you used were
1) from the start of the fight so it's clear this includes the officer buffs - who are really doing the heavy lifting.
You can get a lot of the officer buff stacking idea in the video "BEST STRATEGY to get OP EARLY even on UNFAIR: th-cam.com/video/a6NgAJlqsqM/w-d-xo.html".
lmao wtf
The game mechanics are sooo broken man.
They have a lot of work to do to balance it.
🤣
Calling @SirCanuckelhead to duty
o7
still viable?

Wait, does Concentrated Fire not affect bolter rapid fire?
It does, but I believe devs have stated it's an oversight and meant to only work with true AoE attacks like Flamer/Melta.
@@cRPGBro Thanks
