Seize the initiative is extremely bugged.. Sometimes when you start a fight your officers have extra turn non-stop and you can't pass the turn. It happened to me after recruiting pasqal and some people is complaining about the same in steam :/
Yes, sadly it can happen sometimes. Thankfully devs are aware of it and it should be fixed at the upcoming patch. You can fully create Mercenaries from scratch, as many as you want, but for story party members they each come at different levels with their main Archetype and some Talents already chosen.
Your build with many officers is cool but I'm facing some bugs when using it. Seems it has to do with Seize the Initiative. How come you don't get the problem?
I explain about it in the pinned commet of Cassia or Main Officer Build. The easiest fix if you 're getting looping turns, is to NOT leave an Officer that has the Seize the Initiative talent on the Ship, so always keep all your Officers with the talent on active party, thankfully that fixes it!
Do you think Owlcat will nerf officers? Perhaps putting a cap or tougher de-buff you cant cleanse when you grant the same character multiple turns? I'm not sure of their history of nerfing.
People were already pointing to the balance issue with multiple officer stacking in early access and they didn't change it. I doubt it will be nerfed soon, they're probably going to be in bug fixing mode for a long time before they start doing major nerfs, especially to entire archetypes.
What are best starting character stats? Beta i went with warrior vanguard. Now going operative then. But what pairs well with operative? Is vanguard a good choice?
Sorry for the question, but can someone tell me how to access the trade window? I can't find a hotkey for that, nor the NPC near the map, helps about that. Also not a single result in google gives that information. Kinda amazing, if you think about it :D
Either talk with the Faction Representative (like the Thunderfang Ship at the first Map), OR just go to the same NPC that lets you respec: Factotum Janris Danrok! There should be an option there to trade with all Factions you've unlocked.
The only thing is 95% of players are not going to use mercs in their party esp on the first playthrough. Most are going to use the companion's. The ones the devs spent tons of time on and creating, to see their stories and such. This pretty much goes for any CRPG. I notice in a lot of your guilds you always have custom characters aka just generic custom made toons which is fine. But for new players or even veteran players playing for the first time the huge majority are going to have their one Main Toon then all companions of which . Seems like you don't really consider that much. For one thing, this is a CRPG where interacting with companions is a key part of the gameplay. Any merc you take is the same as taking no one at all, except in combat. Also sometimes Argenta is not there. So if your entire party is focused on her what happens if she's not there? Oh yet another merc id guess. So boring.
Devagar vamos indo ehehehe
Gotta say I'm really unhappy with how little the Origin choice matters. Feels like 90% of character identity comes from the archetype, which kills replayability for me.
Well, you didnt actually explain the mechnical calculations of how something 'gets' hit or not. you just said percentages, which doesnt tell me how things are worked out...
It is currently very expensive, and seasonpasses, which i hate.... So the question is basically: how many hours for a playthrough, replayability, etc. Is this worth almost 2x the price of i.e. bg3? prices of games are just insane these days....
@@PowerSenpai i like to compare what you get i.e. in houese of gameplay. often you see a stripped down base game with 'extras' for a lot of money. for example they charge 30 euro for an expansion that is still to be released of 2x15 hours. basegame is 60, so 90 already, with a few more extras u indeed dot need. cosmetics etc. i don't mind paying for a Really good game, but been around long enough to be careful around season passes etc. so, question remains, what do we get for the money?
@CyberBeep_kenshi just look at a review? It literally just came out so unless one had reviewer access it would be hard to tell. Seems like you got a full game to me at least. Lariat has never been big on DLC so comparing their strategy to bh3 does not make much sense, but I would buy and play WOTR without any of its DLC's and be satisfied with that experience.
@@PowerSenpai i was just curious. for 40 ish i don't mind taking a little gamble, but 90+, i need to be sure. this channel is a good start though:) and i see more of the game instead of the usual commercial pics
@CyberBeep_kenshi Just buy the base game and not all the rest then the price makes more sense. You can just buy the season pass later of the DLC interests you
There are some bugs at the moment with some Talents/Abilities, but I think story wise and such it's a lot better than Wrath of the Righteous on release.
I've watched all of these guides, built what I thought (and was told) would be a solid character and I can honestly say after a dozen hours of suffering that this game is just awful. When I was playing I made a mini game that if my character could actually hit an enemy with an attack I would take a drink - unfortunately I'm stone sober. @@cRPGBroThanks. But in fact I have three officers and they are all in my team. Still I have this bug.
Officer reminds me of my Leader character in Wasteland 3. 😆
It could be possible, they are indeed very strong at the moment!
What are best starting character stats? Beta i went with warrior vanguard. Now going operative then. But what pairs well with operative? Is vanguard a good choice?
try it out and have fun :D
For that, please check my Character Creation Guide here: th-cam.com/video/lb1TlCU-tdY/w-d-xo.html
@@cRPGBro Thanks! I tried the Janris NPC, but all he is giving me is information about the factions. Maybe I haven't unlocked them yet?
So boring.
I love your videos, but was hoping this was another BG3 video.
Fear not, Sorcadin (Paladin + Sorcerer) Build coming very soon!
Looking forward to builds without lunge and Gravesinger 😉
It's all about Officer now 😁:th-cam.com/video/xA1VH9CzmdI/w-d-xo.html
It literally lists "Characteristic BONUS" on the character sheet, there's absolutely no need to divide anything as long as you can read.
Eae mano.
Devagar vamos indo ehehehe
Nice
Thanks!
Gotta say I'm really unhappy with how little the Origin choice matters. Feels like 90% of character identity comes from the archetype, which kills replayability for me.
Additive bonuses, not addictive (it's not drugs) :)
I admit I made that mistake, but it's so addicting to stack stats anyways!
I hope owlcat is watching this :D
im here for the number...
This game is not double the price of bg3 though? You don't need add-ons when you are buying the base game.
@@PowerSenpai i was just curious. for 40 ish i don't mind taking a little gamble, but 90+, i need to be sure. this channel is a good start though:)
and i see more of the game instead of the usual commercial pics
@CyberBeep_kenshi Just buy the base game and not all the rest then the price makes more sense. You can just buy the season pass later of the DLC interests you
What no pet builds :P
Would actually love if we had them for RT!
I heard that this game is very buggy is it true?
There are some bugs at the moment with some Talents/Abilities, but I think story wise and such it's a lot better than Wrath of the Righteous on release.
Is it me or does officer seem too powerful? Probably best to limit to 1 officer in the party to not make it trivial? xD
It is definitely my favorite way of handling Unfair!
does your other characters ever get to move lol
RT > BG3
I really liked it as well!
But wish it was a big as Wrath of the Righteous or Kingmaker.
No no i cant watch this... After this game will be super easy :(
Easier the more Officers you have, hah!
Can't believe you found an exploit already haha but that's too boring for me.. 😂
this game was out after BG3 but the whole combat system + tutorial so bad and unintuitive , unlike bg3
This game is just not fun at all, missing damn near every attack is not "tactical" , it just shit. Combat in this game has to be the worst I've ever encountered in a crpg.
This game deserve RTWP. :(
Thankfully Turn Based in Rogue Trader is SUPER FAST, you have animation skipping and up to 5x speed, it's very smooth.
I refunded because there was too many choices in character creation
I just got the game! For extensive builds and guides please visit Werglia's channel also he has been a pillar of the Rogue Trader's community!
He has a great channel indeed!
@@cRPGBro You and Werglia are the only real CRPG creators the others are just copy pasta garbage that dont even bother to change the name of the builds they are stealing.
