I know you don‘t mean this, but my favourite chord progression is the one in the YES-song „Awaken“, beginning with the lyrics „Master of images“. That‘s one of my absolute musical highlight in modern music!

    D - DM7 - Em -A.
Had that progression hanging around for a couple of year and just managed to write a song around it. Purely as a hobby but the dog likes it.

@@CharlesCleyn I was wondering if you could do a video about making a really present and clear vocal on a production. I just listened to "Only a Lifetime" by Finneas Eilish and I like how present the vocal is. I spent time yesterday trying to mimic it with EQ, compression, and reverb, but I couldn't seem to get it so loud and clear. It would start to distort. Any videos about this kind of thing would be awesome!

I also really like that song. A big part of this is balance within the mix. It's way louder than anything else. The second this is I bet he's using a a great mic. He's singing very close to it to get that intimate feeling. There's also just a nice slight reverb making it seem very close to you.

@@CharlesCleyn I recently encountered "proximity effect," after experimenting a bit that's definitely a huge part.

Hope you could do a video about how K-Pop chord progressions are similar/different from songs released in the US.
