Excellent :) Mine needs a good cleanout, but was hesitant about just ripping off the control panel! S638, bright yellow, but seems virtually identical otherwise. Thanks :)
OK...this video is awesome. My motor just stopped working. I guess I need a new one. However I am having problem finding the part. Even Miele web site does not offer it. Any suggestions for Miele parts retailer?
Could you please tell me what the part is called where the hose sticks into the canister. Mine isn’t giving power to the nozzle. I have ruled out wand, hose, powerhead. Thank you. I have a old champagne
Nevermind I found the problem. A small black wire that goes from the power nozzle socket on the canister lid, where it plugs into the canister was severed. Very hard to find that issue. I’ve been trying to find this forever
Hi Just saying hi since you don’t have any comments. Thanks for your vid. It may help me or may not. My Miela, works perfectly yet started to have a burning smell in the motor. I fear I might have accidentally messed it up by vacuuming right after cleaning carpet with a Bissell. I didn’t know Mielas can’t be repaired if the motor gets messed up. 😢
@@MpVacuum316 Hi. Yes, unfortunately. I didn’t realize it until I went to change the bag. It was wet, soggy. I immediately took out bag. Changed the side filter. The material one. Not the top one. After that is when I noticed the burning smell. It’s subtle yet it’s not the same. Turned off. The vac works, it is the smell motor makes that made me think maybe water got into the motor compartment. I never should have vacuumed right after carpenter cleaning. Drats I love my miela

Moisture probably got into the motor bearings. The motor will get louder over time and will need to be replaced.
