this 10.75 is the widest for me so far! if there were trucks wide enough for the Eggzilla 2 I might give that a shot for fun, but I can't do the narrower trucks under a wide board thing, it drives my OCD mad!
I've got the wide boy with 215's n Andy's nano cubics. It's a tank but I'm 44 n only skate curbs so it's not an issue cos I don't flip my board much. I'm playing the survival game 😂
@@raukurawaihahaI have this exact same setup as well!! I recently swapped out the wheels for some Snot Wide Boys, but will most likely put the Nano Cubics back on, they’re too smooth to not use
I got 2 of them today. They're officially part of Heroin's lineup now, so while they are out of stock everywhere now, they won't be so super limited like the Eggzilla V1. Won't be impossible to get forever.
@LeonPaxton I have a short on my channel. Not just kickflip and big spin stuff, I got a FS Half Cab Flip and a Switch Heelflip on my EggZilla 2. It's a rolling meme, but it can be skated!
Dang Man!! That stinks! I have the Wide Boy and I love it, I'm not a flip trick kinda guy these days(I'm 52), but I love all of my other Heroin Decks so much man. The Bail Gun Gary 9.75" is my current favorite
Dude what a bummer on the crack man, I had to switch over to vx or flight decks just so I wouldn't break my board every time I skated flat ground. Same thing happened to me when I tried the 9.5 heroin egg first Tre flip and boom tail crack! That thing is crazy to look at watching you mannie and flip it! dope vid as usual!!
WOW! I didnt know it was possible to flip that board. But to do so many flip tricks proves, it is possible! How to you feel difference between a classic shaped smaller board and this wide 10.75 inch board in terms of landing in fliptricks? You said that the board felt heavy in begining of the video, is the 10.75 inch board alot heavier then the other 9-10 inch heroin egg boards? Very very great video indeed !!!!! =)
Haha yeah man, having a shorter length and wheelbase definitely helps these bigger boards flip a lot easier! It definitely is heavier but the razor top ply and tapered kicks make it flip and rotate a little easier too so it's definitely easier to flip a smaller standard board but these bigger ones are still pretty skateable. My sweet spot is anywhere from 9.1" to 9.75" 👌🏼
@@LeonPaxton Back in the day i used to do varial and inward hilflips so easy, and also other flips. But its something with boards that doesnt work out for me, specially i feel like the board is starting to live its own life and flip in directions i dont understand and even worst understanding where to land during fliptricks! So the idea i got was that, a eggshaped board might help me. It is wider in center and probably has more weight in center of the board. Maybe its easier to find way how to flip it in right direction and easier to land? During the last years i tryed: 8, 8.125, 8.18, 8.25 boards, with low/high trucks. But i never tryed egg shaped board! im waiting to get heroin eggshaped 8.75 board (is 8.38 around trucks). I was thinking use 148 thunder with bones hard bushings, this is the biggest board they can handle, so it could be a tight fit there & bones ceramic bearings and 54 wheels. For some reason i find a 8.25 board, with 148 thunder trucks and 54 wheels more easier to flip in right direction and more easy to navigate where to land then a 8.125 board, with low trucks and 50-52 mm wheels. I did yoga and really intensive stretching during 10 years and after that i feel i need to change things up to make it work!
Yeah dude, egg boards definitely help with the rotating & shuv it type of tricks because of that. Its easier to land on with bigger boards as well because there is more board but then the other side of that is that the board is heavier to flip because its bigger so it goes both ways lol
@@LeonPaxton I got my 8.75 eggboard, that is 8.38 around trucks, for some reason it feels and looks smaller then 8.25 board! I ride usually 8.125. I got bones ceramic bearings and for some reason it makes the board super light. So i already tryed super light and small board before and it didnt solve the problem. Everything points out that the problem is, the shape of the board. It might weight more then other boards, but if im able to do all my tricks, im all good. =)
Just tryed it out first time! Yep the board can feel heavier, but thats better for me. I notice that i got the finest landings (kickflip, hillflip) that i ever done! I never landed so perfectly before! Also in ramp, this thing is like a dream, it feels like a short board but is wider in middle, it feels soo amazing to cruize and make airs! The tail and nose are 6.75, so i feel i got sweet connection everytime i drop in, in a ramp. Just to stand on this board and roll on ground is amazing, the trucks work soo smooth (thunder hollow lights 148 with hard bones bushings) And i use those 54 mm, bones 84B skatepark wheels, for some reason i feel these wheels are best ever, the best wheels both for street and skateparks!!
Lols i remember i had a Powell Peralta Hotrod Flames board with maybe 70mm + 80d wheels . For sure a proper cruiser board and I let my friend try it out he was so excited to see it ha and he kick flipped it so easy. 360 flip . And its no light board at all this thing is a tank i can only imagine slapping one of those boards on my truck wheels setup. Lol over 15 years never cleaned or lube and cleaned the bearings and it still rolls like a champ.
Dam, years ago I broke a board the day I got it when I was younger and the guy in the shop seen it had delaminated. They were able to send it back and get a new one for free because of the way it delaminated.
@@LeonPaxton it's rare, haven't seen another one do it. If it's not bonded properly I imagine it's like skating a 3ply and a 4ply bolted together. Wouldn't be as strong. The top board would break easily. Some companies advertise the glue these days I've noticed.
