Whether some like Gregg Rollie or don’t like him, nobody can change the fact that he CO FOUNDED SANTANA AND JOURNEY. and he can perform on his own or as a member of ringo all star band. This talented keyboardist vocalist is unstoppable

...one of the all-time greatest keyboardists in the history of the R&R genre -- so good to see and hear that he's still got the chops and isn't just mailing in the lines just for the sake of milking his fame on the seniors' circuit!

Gregg is the original founding member and original vocalist and Hammond B3/ Fender Rhodes player of Santana...if you're a fan of the band who wouldn't like him? ....wtf?

Most people don't realize when you hear Black Magic Woman that's Gregg Rolie singing that way back in the day and 50 years later he's still kicking ass!

Alphonso Johnson on bass! Another Santana alumnus, who really kicked butt during his tenure in the 1980s.

Santana was my favorite rock group when I was fifteen in 1971, and Gregg Rolie’s organ and piano playing made an indelible impression on my own, influencing it to this day at least as much as any single player. Others may have more technique than Gregg Rolie, but few have more soul. I never got to see Santana in concert, but I did very belatedly see Gregg Rolie-playing Santana tunes-and that was nice.

What a great performance ! Would love to see this band. Reminds me of seeing Santana in Richmond, Virginia in 1972. Sat in the 12th row in front of Mr. Rollie. What a night !

It's not Gregg's old hammond. It's a rental. When we were touring with our own gear, he was still using his original cut-down hammond he used in Journey.

    • @jaycareaga9929

The song writer would receive the royalty that would be Tito Puente not Santana.

Rolie played keyboards and sang lead vocals on the Santana's band version. Carlos didn't write the song and Rolie is entitled to play it as much as Carlos.

Gregg Rolie WAS Santana. Without him, the band would never have made it. Kurt, you are awesome. Being a die hard fan from the late 60s of the 1st and 2nd Santana Album, I was blown away by Rain Dance and your lead guitar. Too bad Carlos is such a scum bag to give allow anyone to play these songs. Thank you.
