How are we feeling about this one? I've been seeing a ton of confusion regarding the NFT/ Blockchain elements so hopefully I did a good job at explaining things in layman's terms for those unfamiliar with Crypto and it's stealthy implementation in Off The Grid. I think we're going to see a whole new wave of games with marketplaces like this one if OTG succeeds long-term but we'll have to wait and see how impactful the full implementation of these Web3 systems play out. Interested to hear your thoughts below!
People can pretend all they want and ignore those aspects but eventually it gets to them. There is a reason why so many NFT/Crypto games have failed and we have every right to be skeptic about it. I respect those content creators that address these concerns, while others are being sponsored left and right.
I really appreciated the intro explanation of the mechanics behind the blockchain elements of this game, and also the fact that you've taken 'The Man's' dollar, but had a good dig at them regardless... we all have to earn a crust. Such is life in the 21st century... with that out of they way, I'll proceed to the meat of the vid... aaannd the 'zipper' pulled an immediate laugh 🤐 OK... Not understanding how you lost the 1st match with 24 'kills' and the winners only had 10, and 9 v12 'deaths'... How does that work?... Never played an extraction shooter btw. Total n00b
People (grifters) have been trying to pave the way for "Play to earn" concepts for a while and theyve not taken off because, they dont work. It's not a fundamentally good concept and anyone who says it is, is an idiot.
@@DraslyThe1 That’s not true. Almost every item in the game is an NFT. Guns, attachments, and limbs are all NFTs. They have rarities and are serialized. They are on the blockchain. The only way you can not use NFTs is if you do zero progression and only use the starting items in your loadout forever.
@@elhior23 You don't need to know what it is. That's kinda the point of how well they implemented it. Do you care what database CSGO uses to store your skins? Do you care what blob storage they use to host the image? No. No one cares. That's the point. Yes they use NFTs and a blockchain. Why? So they can create their own marketplace without needing to be dependent on Steam.
Absolutely huge respect for you, not only turning down the sponsorship so you can give your honest opinion, but also for taking the time to shine a light on the crypto side of ultimate plan for the game. Something about the game set off my skeptic sensors when it felt like literally every streamer was booked for sponsored streams, the massive amounts of PS5 give aways that they’re doing through all these sponsored streams, and the massive amounts of super high quality live action intros, trailers, and clips. None of those things are bad, but it’s clear this game has some massive funding from investors and that they’re doing the absolute most to run an insane marketing campaign. For me it just felt like they were trying way too hard, like to the point where it’s weird. Like if they were trying to date you they’d be buying you insane gifts way too early and giving an excessive amount of compliments, and you just get that feeling that something isn’t right.
@@coreyhamilton6485 the entire world is pretty sick mind you, and it will only get worse, if u don't see anything wrong with this in the game, try real life soon....

Lost me at crypto and Ninja. Edit for more thoughts: Even if the gameplay is good, we still shouldn't support or allow "games" like these to develope. We give an inch, the industry will take miles - next thing you know we'll be having crypto ruining all games on top of all the nonsense we already have to deal with. The gaming industry is already so many levels of messed up. We don't need more problems.

To put it simply from all NFT games........ "If you hate NFTs, you can still play the game without using/buying/selling them." ... But the game was built with NFTs in mind, so the focus has already shifted from creating a good game to creating a good NFT based on the game.

4:07 You don’t start the game with your loadout. You have to collect in game currency (rips) by running around opening boxes. Then you can order your loadout…the better your equipment, the more currency you have to collect to get your loadout. Then if you die, it starts from zero.
Tomo you did an excellent job with explaining the NFT/ Blockchain elements, not that I understand it all but this video is one I know I go back to again and again til I do understand your opinion. @@chappiescollectables There isn't a single anti-cheat system that has been able to beat cheaters. This is right now happening in all major titles, even if they don't have Crypto elements. Actual drug cartels have significant influence over World of Warcraft gold prices, as one easy example before crypto and is still in play. Majority of Call of Duty cheats are done through Russia, all funded through crypto. Bitcoin and the like has only increased the funding for criminal organizations to make these things, as well as profit. The moment you add real-money incentives, you will instantly attract way more criminals. This is now using crypto, a decentralized currency that criminals absolutely adore for money-laundering. So you get the double incentive of not only being able to cheat your way into making money, but also laundering it. I would know, I work in a casino and I am directly trained in these matters. "b-but they get bann-" it's called breakage buddy. You end up losing some of the money you're making while keeping the majority. It's literally an expected cost and why cheat-makers have survived for so long. If banning people actually prevented cheating, we wouldn't have cheating.

Off the grid isn't taking over.. It's being sponsored to streamers and will fall flat once sponsored streams stop. It's the usual for sponsored games in my opinion.
I believe this to be true, not even for the NFT/Crypto integration as the publisher that nails that will see massive success, but moreso the gaming industry's worn out "early access meter" and our sense of bought hype. Just reeks of it unfortunately.
It's an early access extraction shooter/battle royale hybrid, with monkey jpegs and "underlying performance issues," and a paid subscription already launched, plus it's EGS literally every red flag possible without specific publishers or developers
this definitely feels like a "Diablo Immortal" situation. Its real grimy when you think about. Here is seemingly a solid game underneath absolute despicable monetary practices. Seems like a game that could be a blast to play but the fact NFT/Crypto being part of the structure of the game makes it dead on arrival for a lot of folks. Its a shame cause there are ways to monetize your game that dont involve nft/crypto. kind of baffling honestly in this day in age. I do, as some have mentioned, appreciate full transparency on actually mentioning this. even you have trepidations about it. its clear. keep up the good content.

Feels like the start of a horror movie, everything points to this thing being evil, but there's a chance its good so let's try it and see what happens...
5:20 I do want to point a few things out that I've noticed. A. Weapon Rarity doesn't stats, but instead determines the number of weapon attachments that a weapon can have. This only affects the feeling of the gun slightly instead of resulting in a higher TTK. B. Cyberlimb Rarity seems to only offer additional uses, longer durations, and shorter cooldowns. C. The 'Extracted' Items are only accessible by calling them in by using a currency earned in the match. The higher rarity and more items skyrockets the cost, making it more difficult to obtain.
I am tired of all the pay to win aspects of gaming now. I am 45 and miss the good old days when you just played games and everyone was on an even playing field. I do love the concept of this game and am a huge fan of the movies behind the vision. But it looks like it plays so much better on pc then console. I am on a PS5 and I am not sure if it's the servers or the games but it's very laggy in gunfights. I don't even know if it's cross play as I would like to just be playing against console players and not against PC players who have a better advantage of aim. In all honesty because of all the pay to win aspects I have not commited to this game. I have had some games here and there but am waiting to see the direction it takes going forward.
I’m 56 and play PC games since 1998, started with unreal tournament and OG counter strike and moved on to COD and Battlefield. I’ve seen allot of changes in my time. Present time gaming is way different but it’s always been about the money. Due to modern technology the gaming industry has way more easy access to our money and so their profits went only up. The time that devs and stakeholders care about you and me is long gone (if they ever did i don’t know)

I enjoyed your comments on the Crypto/NFT aspect. In my opinion one measure to be taken would be to put caps on transactions, withdrawals, assets owned etc... based on your player profile & activity. I personally enjoy the aspect of looting, grinding and trading items, to sell the ones I don't need and buy the ones I like for my loadout. Paying 10$ a month for a game you enjoy to get the extra benefits and Pay to Fast edge isn't such a big deal. People who complain about it and think it should be free, in most cases, don't have much respect imo to the work put into building a game. Here you can even use the Gunz currency you win in game to pay for your subscription - so eventually you'll buy subscriptions 'for free'. I find their approach interesting & innovative 😊 and personally like ownership of ingame items I can one day sell if I stop playing. However, I agree this experience should be reserved to actual players. One thing I am not necessarily fan of, or maybe don't understand, is if attachment are reserved to your loadout Guns. Or if finding an Epic gun in game, comes with 4 attachment you don't know about? Because attachments definitely give an edge that you should at least be able to randomly obtain as a F2P in loot crate.
Tech start up successfully creates the infamous Torment Nexus based off of the popular bestselling novel by Frank D. Stopia, "Don't Create the Torment Nexus". Like, how the hell do you make a game set in a cyberpunk dystopia poking fun at capitalism monetizing everything while simultaneously doing that same thing? This whole thing feels like an elaborate gag written by The Onion, but hey at least you can play as Ninja (tf ???).
Have always been a fan of your content but seeing you keeping it real and grounded lets me savior some hope in the opinions of big streamers. Love your content :)
Well I was one of the first ones to talk about the horrible optimization and NFTs including the pay to win practices just for the record, but I appreciate the transparency and that you address these concerns while everyone else is getting sponsored left and right. This video is also 10 times better and more packaged. Have a good day sir.
I appreciate him informing his viewers about the market place and pay 2 win situation of the game it's very important aspect to mention for some1 who is Goin to play the game casually ❤
One of the most (if not the most) unoptimized games I've ever played in early access. Keep in mind, there were TWO closed play sessions before this release. The last of which I played and the performance was equally as bad then. It seems slightly ludicrous to me that they could be on their 3RD serving of this game and absolutely NOTHING has been fixed in regards to performance.
Although this is pretty much gonna be a pass personally because of this shady, pretty well hidden crypto shindig, I'm glad you came through with full transparency about it and explained it thoroughly enough in addition. A lot will just enter and judge the vid immediately based on the title, which is a shame, but for me at least, I thank you for being as informative and transparent as you were with this because I absolutely wouldn't know about this crypto stuff if not for this. Keep on keepin' on mate.
Yeah, nailing the title is difficult with this one. (I'm open to suggestions) 😅 It's a decent game with some egregious systems in place that really take the fun out of the game and leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Thanks for understanding 👍
@@Tomographic"...is taking over" makes it sound like the battle is already won, and we can see from the comments that it's clearly not. No true gamers want this shit to succeed, even if they built a decent game.
"What is stopping crypto bros from price gauging?" You don't think it is not part of the design? The game studio earns a percentage cut off your trading price. The higher the price goes, the more they earn. The incentives are aligned to push for price gauging. The mechanics are designed for "mooning".
@@chappiescollectables I don't think that is true. IRL, companies don't engage in enforcement of royalties in the secondary market, so how much it gets sold in the secondary market doesn't impact their bottom line as much.
@@pizzadoe7922 hmm i don't think so, in blockchain secondary market royalties are actually where the most money is made. (OTG makes use of AVAX as a subnet chain, so they kind of have their own blackchain/network) But it isn't that simple and depends on the marketplace. Seeing as they build their own marketplace, they control the price. It would be better for gamers if a game was built on a blockchain with less VC money and more competion in the form of other marketplaces.
NFT stuff aside. I played a few matches last night. My second one a guy was chasing me as I grappled up a building and flung and when I landed I thought I died but my legs broke off. I then saw him land and do the same thing. Thought I was downed but I pulled my ar out and we started shooting eachother on the ground. Killed him then my legs recalibrated and I got up. Was a sick fight
Even the whole “you have to chop off your limbs to play the game” kinda has an ominous feel. I guess you could say, this game will cost an arm and a leg to play.
Hey Tom, you mention at 5:09 that you prefer the current gameplay loop of OTG to that of Warzone or Apex. I'm out of the loop here, could you explain why that is? Curious to see what makes you gravitate towards this game at the moment.
@@xPetyr Explain the scam part for me. CSGO, you buy items and sell them to other players. The image is hosted on a website. Off The Grid, you buy items and sell them to the other players. The image is hosted on a website. The only difference is you accept a different form of payment... not just USD, the Euro, etc.. its just another form of payment. Regarding "pay to win" I've made multiple comments in here correcting Tomo. When you buy the absolute BEST gear in the game, it costs so much more cash in the BR to call your loadout in. Have you noticed that? If I get all weak gear, I can prob call my loadout in faster. That's the balance. Not to mention all the best gear is in crates as well. It's not like they are gated off. Most of the time players aren't even using their loadouts because the gun balancing is good.
As someone who supports NFTs. I think this was a really well positioned and honest take. I think we can all agree that pay to win ruins the competitive-ness of a game. If it were just skins that's different. Appreciate the open dialogue about it and hope there's a good middle ground they take with this game. I like the idea of a future where I own my skins and have the ability to trade it anywhere without playing marketplace fees etc. But it needs to be done right or else it can sour the game, totally respect that
I am downloading the game right now, the Game looks fun as hell and the blockchain/"Krypto" (the Super Dog, who remembers that Cartoon) doesn't bother that much. It's Free to play so I can not play it if I want
finally someone who hates crypto/nfts without having exposure to it but takes the time to try and understand it as opposed to say "thegamingmerchant" who is all "crypto bad, so this game is bad and will fail within a year" so props to you tomo i personally have been in crypto since 2016, a lot of the stigma it cops especially towards games is accurate but its also not something i think you should just dismiss a game over, especially as its typically optional one thing i think the team should change is limiting it to cosmetic nfts only prior to implementation or just remove the crypto aspect altogether. i think not being on steam will hamper the potential for this game
Pay to win could be a deal breaker. The devs did say that the NFT and Crypto are only optional and should not interfere with the competitive part. But it remains to be seen
It's not pay to win though. On paper it looks that way, but there is balancing for it. In crates around the map is cash.. you need the cash to call in your loadout. Now lets say you make a class with all the best gear. That will cost you SO MUCH cash to call in your loadout. The worse the gear in the loadout, the cheaper it is to call in. Plus, all the crates around the map have the same kind of gear in your loadout. You don't spawn in with a loadout either. Hope that makes sense
@@wonderwallz99yeah but the loadout will cost less if you just remove some items from the loadout. So you can just have 2 fully kitted out primary and secondary and call in during matches
They fooled Tommo which is crazy because you would think he knows better. I give him two weeks before we get a video warning us to stay away from this game and him apologizing. At least from seeing the comments most of his audience isn't buying the crap being shoveled here.
But loot boxes that you have to pay directly to Activision or epic you guys have no problem with that right. Totally cool with spending real money on digital goods that you never resell got it that's something special you got going there don't you
Average Web2 mindset Fortnite charging you for assets and skin that won’t earn you squat: BEAUTIFUL!! OTG allowing you to sell assets and skin acquired: BLASPHEMY!!
The only way I can see the NFT aspect being managed is with a dev team that is constantly aware of the marketplace situation. Such as items just not being used because they're being pay walled getting nerfed or losing value due to no demand or limited transference. Or flood the market, make every item viable to a degree and keep rolling out a wide variety of attachments, guns, etc. So that the market is too large to control. Other than that weird choice to add, the gameplay seems fun and I'd definitely try it out
NFTs will be a great thing for gaming. For the first time in history we can have ownership of in game assets. Most here have very poor understanding of what blockchains and NFT are. That will change in time…
Again... if we were strictly talking about cosmetics, people would have less of a problem with it (myself included) but we're not. You're able to trade and control the value of Weapons, Abilities and Attachments that have a very real impact on gameplay which is where the Pay 2 Win aspect rears its ugly head and anybody not interacting with those Web3 elements is at an inherent disadvantage.
Great vid, at the end of the day it's just a game that allows you to buy/sell ingame items to other players. So the general consenses is players prefer to buy items from the developer and not be able to sell it if they don't like like it. Go buy your V Bucks or COD points and enjoy never being able to sell the items you bought.
I maybe jumping the gun both for making this comment not even halfway thru the vid, and by not experiencing their monetization system myself. But the parallels between what was said in this vid about this games use of the block chain with its in game economy and well done monetization systems such as Path of Exile and Warframe makes me believe this will the be the first game to integrate the crypto crap the correct way. when players can grind out things in game then proceed to trade for the 'premium' currency, the games commerce just sort of auto balances itself
It’s such a fun game to play and the crypto feature. is not seen anywhere and I don’t have to interact with it if I don’t want to. Great game imo. Beat time I had in a shooter for years

This game is more fun then BS Fortnite, Warzone and Apex together. They need to deal with a lot things but if they succeed, it's an awesome addition to the BR genre
It's a fun game but I don't know why they wanted this NFT stuff in it, they can easily monetize it like Warzone and other br games. if they can somehow remove that NFT aspect entirely it can be the next big hit IMO

Not gonna lie. I am ready for crypto to go mainstream. It’s inevitable and this game looks like it’s gonna start it off right. There will be lessons to be learned but I’m here for it.
The gatekeeping won’t really be a problem as far as meta loadouts simply because meta constantly changes. Also the sellers can try to sell it for a high price but if nobody buys they will have no choice but to lower it. Another point is since gun token is technically valueless if you get all the weapons or items you want before the full launch all your items will transfer over while your tokens won’t so spend them while you can

I wish people didn't actually hate everything that had to do with nfts and crypto. Be open minded if csgo allows you to sell your skins and withdraw to a bank account (granted through illegal 3rd party websites) every game should have the chance to sell the loot they earned for actual money

It will never catch on so long as there are Pay 2 Win elements involved and once activated, you're going to see a very negative shift in regards to the players opinion on this game as most are blissfully unaware if the Web3 systems since they are so well hidden. Gamers would be much more on board if the NFT functionality was tied strictly to cosmetics but it isn't. Weapons, attachments and abilities are all tradeable on the marketplace where the value is able to be controlled by those with the biggest wallets while casual players are forced to extract hexes over and over again in hopes of getting an item they actually want vs something they can't sell unless they pay for a subscription or interact with the blockchain elements in order to buy the gear they want which is inherently Pay 2 Win.
Thanks for the vid Tomo, love your playstyle and simple comms with Jezza in the game, "close" for danger close, "chalked" and lots more, the non-emotion chat is just music to my ears, and your gameplay far exceeds mine to even try such a game, I just like sitting back and watching you do what you do best :) As for Web 3, where does the AI come in. THank you for the explanation as I wasn't fully on board with what it meant, and the ramifications and impacts on the game. Would one concern be the impact of multiple games using Web 3, that are impacted by socio-economic scenarios, outside the scope of the gaming business? I'm just spit-balling here, and wondering about a future dire-gaming scene where computer games become a money-making scheme with people not interested in games, just making money. Either way, good to hear from someone who isn't bullied (ha, bull) by Game Devs who have lost interest in their gamers (think Ubisoft). Looking forward to more of your content :)
The game doesn’t seem to innovate much so I am not interested but these hot takes on crypto is kinda nonsense. No offense T, but your understanding of what blocks\chain does is limited. Also, whether it’s crypto or not, market forces dictate price on all marketplaces. You think those cs2 skins have those prices for no reasons? If you like the game on its own merits play it but so far, the blockchain aspects seem legit and actually owning the thing you bought would be a nice change, esp given that steam just releases their new policy where they flat put tell u you don’t own any games on their platform.

This isn't a "hot take". That's literally how it works.
I don't understand the Crypto scheme myself , but seems the new Meta for everyone except the player . Like you say if it becomes acceptable every game will have some aspect of this.
Shatterline went crypto and got taken off Steam, lost its fan base and is on epic and will fail now. This game will never have the player count it could have due to the Web3/crypto stuff being added onto the game. It will be full of hackers within a week of release, and having to sub to a game just to be able to sell stuff in-game is a dumb move. People will play this game and people will sub to the game, but after a month or two new players will just be farm for people that are willing to buy into the in game currency. For me, there is no point in installing this game. I am an adult with a full-time job, I use games as a wind down after work, not as a second job. So what if I don't own the skins in a game, if and when this game shuts down, what happens to the NFTs of the in-game items? Big thank you Tomo for letting people know about this side of the game first
I’ve played over the weekend, very fun game. I think integration of nft and btc should be considered once the initial product is finished. They actually have an interesting game and good framework please just working that first.
That NFT mechanics should absolutely NOT become a thing. It´s an evolution from grinding for loot boxes, but with real currency and instead of casino implementations it´s got `free market´ speculations
So owning your digital assets and having the option to sell them for real world currency shouldn’t be a thing? Should we just keep them locked into separate games then with no ability to sell…?
Love the game and I’ve been uploading vids almost daily since it’s release but as time goes on and the not pay to win bs becomes more prevalent it could really damage the game. I feel like it’s really gone under the radar and has had little to no backlash. Being free to play almost allows them to get away with murder. Still loving the game rn though. Great vid btw.
I think this would have been a game I'd be interested in, but the whole crypto thing is a complete turn off. I can see this game going pay to win really fast, and my biggest concern is the rest of the industry following suit. Having worked in the industry for many years, I know all too well the studio execs are always looking for more ways to monetise anything and they always, *always* put profits and shareholders ahead of gamers, so I'll be avoiding this one I think. It's a shame, because it has some really interesting mechanics. I appreciate the explanation at the beginning. I wonder how many people *won't* be so open about it...
Mad respect to you for declining the sponsorship in order to speak truth without bias. Ive installed this but yet to play it. But the nft aspect with regards to weapons and abilities will kill the game
having NFT s in the game is setting a bad precedent for all greedy companies. all it takes is for one game to succsede to make others follow the same path
I was immediately turned off when i heard block chain and webv3. This does not belong in gaming. And i hope Steam will do what they always do witch is watch as the companies tahat implement this cancer into ther service just like Epic burn down. I hope to GOD Steam will never allow these games to exist on thier platform in any form. Gaben must know better. Shame i was actually looking to forward to checking this game out but now... I am not touching it. Never. Thanks for informing me this game will be hardcore pay to win and play to lose.
Yeah, it really is a shame and there is a decent game underneath it all as I said in the video but once the Web3 systems are fully implemented, it's likely game over for casual players that aren't interested in Crypto and can't access the marketplace.
Not a future most people want to be a part of if it's implemented like this. It will never catch on so long as there are Pay 2 Win elements involved and once activated, you're going to see a very negative shift in regards to the players opinion on this game as most are blissfully unaware of the Web3 systems right now since they are so well hidden.
@@Tomographic CRYPTO in general is a great thing nothing about this game or any game. Love this game idc what it makes you do im buying. These people complaining don’t got a job and have money so they complain.
@pwned2bad nah, you're actually brain dead if that's your opinion and you have no rebuttal to what Tomo is saying. There's not a single rational though in that head of yours if you can't see why these systems are bad for the gaming experience and are clearly blinded by wanting Crypto to succeed in games and don't care if the gameplay suffers because of it.
@@pwned2bad I love how you think people that disagree with you don’t have a job or money. So if someone doesn’t spend as much money as you do on video game skins they MUST be broke right?
Interesting concept, but some of the biggest issues that are looming is the fact that you raise the stakes in these situations, you raise the risk along with. Hackers/cheaters will be an issue which is a problem that can never be solved just managed; but the concern goes past being hacked on in game, wbu actually being hacked, your account, information and so on. Idk man, its like the dystopian setting of the game is likely to play out in the real world and it's kinda crazy to think, how far will we let this go? It's all built on platforms.
I respect those content creators that address these concerns, while others are being sponsored left and right.
there's definitely potential i like to see the pay wall for the market gone
I really appreciated the intro explanation of the mechanics behind the blockchain elements of this game, and also the fact that you've taken 'The Man's' dollar, but had a good dig at them regardless... we all have to earn a crust. Such is life in the 21st century... with that out of they way, I'll proceed to the meat of the vid... aaannd the 'zipper' pulled an immediate laugh 🤐
OK...
I really like the base game, I hope they rethink the crypto market aspect but I doubt they will, which is unfortunate.
the game looks genuinely interesting, but man my interest took a nosedive the minute NFTs entered the conversation
If it’s done like csgo and its skin economy I’d be cool with it.
well just don´t bother with it? Like you can still play the game without using/buying/selling NFTs
I still do not know what a NFT is and at this point I do not want to know and am good without them.
W Tomo. Thank you for addressing this head on while other streamers ignore it and hide behind their sponsored cash. Your integrity is appreciated!

You're the man, Tomo. Love the respect you show your audience. ❤

You're part of the problem.

finally someone who hates crypto/nfts without having exposure to it but takes the time to try and understand it as opposed to say "thegamingmerchant" who is all "crypto bad, so this game is bad and will fail within a year" so props to you tomo
i personally have been in crypto since 2016, a lot of the stigma it cops especially towards games is accurate but its also not something i think you should just dismiss a game over, especially as its typically optional
one thing i think the team should change is limiting it to cosmetic nfts only prior to implementation or just remove the crypto aspect altogether. i think not being on steam will hamper the potential for this game
26:07 Neill Blomkamp would be proud of that top-tier editing :)
It's way better than COD’s system where Activision charges crazy amounts and takes all the profits.
Exactly
Love the video! If you need a extra person in your squad, I would love to be apart!!! Been grinding with some sweaty players haha
Don’t support anti-consumer crypto games
@@wonderwallz99 It makes sense that you don't need crypto to do a single one of those things.
@@wonderwallz99yeah but the loadout will cost less if you just remove some items from the loadout. So you can just have 2 fully kitted out primary and secondary and call in during matches
In the future this is how we will earn food, piloting remote mechs in a forever war for nft gruel - your mech goes down, you don’t eat.
Thank you Tomographic for being transparent. Integrity is always appreciated. Won't even touch this game.
I remember the ads for this game that had DrDisrespect in them and then cropped him out lmao, crypto/web3/nft/blockchain shit has no place in gaming.

I for sure jumped the gun, not being able to use the community market/auction without paying for premium subscription is asinine all on its own
@@radspiderjackson I mean, the game is and will be F2P. The marketplace is optional.
The first ~7 minutes are excellent informative discussion - well done.
Delete crypto from the game then add to the steam
A colossal win that would be.
Nah, delete the entire game and everything it represents.
Nah wake up and get with the time I like ownership of our items that can't be wiped by Activision

It’s such a fun game to play and the crypto feature. is not seen anywhere and I don’t have to interact with it if I don’t want to. Great game imo. Beat time I had in a shooter for years
I love this. Tomo is not addressing the bad things and makes things really clear while also gives good constructive feedback. He also makes it very clear that he doesnt take part in this and doesnt like it

we would notice because the stupid looting goes through Blockchain, like you extract something go back to menu and the item is still "validating"

You have proved to me you are a trustworthy source of information with this video Tomo. I know this project has spent a lot on marketing.
I like many concepts of it and the artstyle. The BR not so much. But in any of the cases, these monetization plans are a big red flag for me. This subscription concept is ridiculous.
Thank you.
This game is more fun then BS Fortnite, Warzone and Apex together. They need to deal with a lot things but if they succeed, it's an awesome addition to the BR genre

It's frustrating that Fortnite is the only one that has Split Screen after Blackout.

Hitting the sign with your face was a nice touch
It's a fun game but I don't know why they wanted this NFT stuff in it, they can easily monetize it like Warzone and other br games. if they can somehow remove that NFT aspect entirely it can be the next big hit IMO

Thank you for always being the realest! It's super cool to implement the blockchain though you hit the nail on the head with "players will be more focused on the market than the game itself". Pay-to-win has never been a successful model in the long run so I hope they can work with Epic to find some resolution on the subscription. Beautiful looking game though.
Okay are we pretending that CS doesn’t have NFTs. Like it’s the same thing they are doing but they are calling it what it is instead of just calling it a rare skin
People just hear a word and associate crypto with scams because most of it is scams.. but when its not a scam its lumped into the rest. All of them are potatoes so its whatever
Glad we all can come together and appreciate a good game when we see one. Expecting the likes of sinverse to give us something close to this with its imminent version 3.0 launch
LFG. This game is gonna be huge. The haters are gonna blow this game up bro. Keep hating on crypto and web 3 dudes, keep on. It only fuels us crypto bros. 😂😂

Not gonna lie. I am ready for crypto to go mainstream. It’s inevitable and this game looks like it’s gonna start it off right. There will be lessons to be learned but I’m here for it.
You may quite literally have downs bro
The gatekeeping won’t really be a problem as far as meta loadouts simply because meta constantly changes. Also the sellers can try to sell it for a high price but if nobody buys they will have no choice but to lower it. Another point is since gun token is technically valueless if you get all the weapons or items you want before the full launch all your items will transfer over while your tokens won’t so spend them while you can
NFTs are just more secure premium currency. As long as the devs don't do a rug pull, it's the same as any market.
Remember to come back to this comment in a couple of months
I really enjoy watching you play games. You’re super good but dont have that toxic ego that a lot of players on your level have. Thanks for that.
This looks like a really cool game, i don’t completely understand the whole crypto aspect of it yet. Im going to read up on it a but more before downloading the game. Thanks for your review of this game. Cheers
I wish people didn't actually hate everything that had to do with nfts and crypto. Be open minded if csgo allows you to sell your skins and withdraw to a bank account (granted through illegal 3rd party websites) every game should have the chance to sell the loot they earned for actual money
Whoever see this give games the chance if this game is bad it's by the choices of the developers don't actually hate/blame the web 3 aspects if csgo and buy and sell on a marketplace then others can do it too
It will never catch on so long as there are Pay 2 Win elements involved and once activated, you're going to see a very negative shift in regards to the players opinion on this game as most are blissfully unaware if the Web3 systems since they are so well hidden.
Thanks for the vid Tomo, love your playstyle and simple comms with Jezza in the game, "close" for danger close, "chalked" and lots more, the non-emotion chat is just music to my ears, and your gameplay far exceeds mine to even try such a game, I just like sitting back and watching you do what you do best :)
As for Web 3, where does the AI come in.
Indeed.
Fair take, although I'd disagree about innovation. The limb aspect is super cool
It will never catch on so long as there are Pay 2 Win elements involved and once activated, you're going to see a very negative shift in regards to the players opinion on this game as most are blissfully unaware of the Web3 systems right now since they are so well hidden and currently inactive. This isn't a "hot take". That's literally how it works.
I don't understand the Crypto scheme myself , but seems the new Meta for everyone except the player . Like you say if it becomes acceptable every game will have some aspect of this.
Shroud put it the best the blockchain they use is like the steam market or like in cs:go. It's used as it economy
Big thank you Tomo for letting people know about this side of the game first
pretty accurate, cheaters are already destroying the game

Yeah, it really is a shame and there is a decent game underneath it all as I said in the video but once the Web3 systems are fully implemented, it's likely game over for casual players that aren't interested in Crypto and can't access the marketplace.
Once upon a time you could go buy a game on a disc and just play it... memories
