Scent blocking clothing is ok if you care for it correctly. It needs to be washed in special scent free detergent, sealed in bags, and stored in a cool place when it isn’t being used. I own a lot of very expensive camo, kuiu, First Light, etc. Including scentlok stuff, and I’ve definitely been winded while using it. I definitely wouldn’t put my faith in it, you’re better off with good digital camo and a tree stand than scentlok and a ground blind.

The first one was too young and had a broken tusk. Had good Genes to let breed. The group contained an older bull that was of the desired age and size criteria. Elephants are genrally not hunted until they are on their last set of molars and are past the vast majority of their breeding lifespan. most elephants that live to thier last set of molars starve to death.
The PH also took a POP at the Elephant, the second shot @ 15:09 timer on the video . Simultaneously with the huntress. He was POLITELY DIPLOMATIC about admitting it. Who wants to lose a good tip by saying it ? “ Good job, Ms Suckress “ with a laugh . Seriously, I don’t blame the PH for popping at the same time. Good mood with sun downers at the camp fire with Elephant kababs…is like..kinda IRRESISTIBLE 🤨. Viewers are proud of you all .She is one tough lady hunter !👍
I slowed down the moment you were referring to (13:09, not 15:09), and the elephant dropped immediately after the hunter's second shot went off, not the PH's. It seems as if he tried aiming for the hip as there was a good amount of dust that came off that area.
You are right Max. The length of the video is 15:09 and the “ ticking “ is at 13:09 when she took her 1st shot. If the PH had shot it on the hip, it would have sank on its hip and not forward and down on its knees. But one thing is certain. The second & third shot or both did it. So we should give her the benefit of doubt. After all, we were not on the scene to check out the bullet holes too. A Clock Ticking at 1400 , you can see bullet wound behind the ear…side brain shot 👍
Pretty much neocolonialism and glorified white saviorism. “Local and Indigenous” Africans have been doing just fine living with lions, elephants and other supposedly “dangerous” megafauna for millennia before European colonizers came in, drove these magnificent beasts close to extinction due to uncontrolled sport-hunting, and then collectively said “whoops!” and then drove the Indigenous populations out of their traditional homelands just for the sake of these game reserves and national parks (same scenario as the U.S. government driving away Indigenous tribes for our own national parks like in Yellowstone for example), plus erasing thousands of generations-worth of Indigenous knowledge of how they lived with these animals to begin with, so much so that now they’re solely dependent on these white saviors with guns for *everything*, ironically the very thing that erased their knowledge of sustainable living and independence in the first place, and even then some of the locals hired by these hunting outfitters (“but it produces JOBS!!!”) actually have regret over foreign white dudes shooting their own natural heritage just for the sake of bullshit “sustainable use”, even though SCI, Dallas Safari Club and all Africans bought into this era of exploitation say they’re all either “pests” or “dangerous nuisances” to begin with: www.ecologicalcitizen.net/pdfs/epub-080.pdf But yes, whenever all these folks and corporations say “facts over emotions”, they just mean thinking only a certain amount of “logic and reason”; too much so and then you’ll realize: damn, this shit really is “neocolonialist”.

Exciting to watch Damien? Did she set a hook in your mouth? I didn’t see her make any decisions, she relied on her guide to place her in front of the stationary elephant and waited for the moment he told her pull the trigger.
Damien, are you saying the elephant “ had to go” because it was older, kinda like your parents or grandparents, they deserve death bc they are old? If you don’t have a minute to look up statistics I just copied this from Google. By 1900 this had fallen to around 10 million elephants and by 1979 down to 1.3 million. There was a rapid decline in population size over the 1970s and 1980s such that by the mid-1990s numbers had fallen below 300,000. 20,000 elephants are killed yearly, Not for food but for personal enjoyment. Safe management would be protection not extinction. I’m not wanting to sound rude, I’m just trying to give you facts. Do you know the “cute” huntress went on to kill a docile grass eating giraffe that she proudly posed next to the dead animal. I hope you are a respectful hunter for food not a dead head to hang in your house.

How could the elephant have had a gun anyway? Is there some obscure anthropomorphic elephant species out there that you just happen to know about, genius?
What an asinine point to make. Would it’s death have been any kinder if nature had run its course? What do you think happens to old bull elephants? They go curl up under a tree & die in their sleep? Give me a break. A quick double tap is the best death any elephant can ever hope for out in the Bush, because the alternative is lions.

None that I can see. I don’t know what a poacher makes for a killed elephant but I just looked up the cost of a guide in Botswana to kill an elephant, $20,000 to $50,000, that’s just for the guide service
Y'all think it's so sad she's shot a elephant but nobody says nothing about them getting poached
Maybe you just view hunting videos Elisha…I’m sure the elephant hunters that pay over $70,000 to kill one for pleasure do not like poachers that sneak in and kill them. I wouldn’t shed a tear if I heard her home was invaded by intruders…at least she would see the hardship her invasion caused the elephant herd.

So much enjoyed watching how your harvested this elephant! It was so great that you shared your magnificent trophy with your children! Harvesting an elephant is so awesome! Thanks for sharing!!!
Obviously you have an empathy problem mate.
Harvesting? You mean killing a magnificent creature that is standing still in its territory that she invaded and she still needed constant instruction from her guide🤷🏻♀️Disturbing to say the least
It is so sad to see the extermination by these hunter’s of such an exotic spieces. Moreover its repugnant to witness them after killing elephants, so exhilarated Disgusting
Elephants aren’t exotic. Their populations are very healthy.
Not withstanding the fact that they're only hunting the largest/oldest animals that will just eventually die of starvation, do you know where the money to research, conserve habitat, and combat poachers comes from? Guided hunting tours just like this fund a large portion of that.
Would you like to do something ecological?. Capture a poacher. Too difficult? Better go for something easy, like an elephant
And what makes you think they don't already do that? Lol. This entire elephant hunting operation provides the necessary funds for anti-poaching.
Unlike you, who complains about poachers online and does nothing else!
@Rexford L : Does nothing else ? Are there no advocacy organizations set up to protect these magnificent animals from people who think that it is great sport to go into the elephant's home and take a family member away ? Nobody does that to us because we have representation in places like Congress . But these poor elephants do not . But that is changing .
@John Ishikawa Oh yes, I'm sure the elephants are preparing a speech right now that will be read in the UN. Hilarious. Bull elephants do not have "family members," ya dunce. They're loners for the majority of their lives. That might sound cruel to you, but that's the way it is. Get over it.
"But that is changing," dream on. African countries will never allow it.
Yes living until weakness makes it possible for lions to take you down and eat you to death is far better
the woman in comfortable shoes took a good shot, kind of reminded me of Elmer Fudd lol, I think elephants should be respected and left alone as the ivory trade brought the species to borderline extinction, they are a beautiful creature
I agree with you that we should not kill them. But, if they are too numerous, they destroy the environment.
Elephants number in the hundreds of thousands, nearly half a million to be more exact. Definitely not endangered as some organizations want you to believe.

Scent blocking clothing is ok if you care for it correctly. It needs to be washed in special scent free detergent, sealed in bags, and stored in a cool place when it isn’t being used.

I don't understand why they had a chance with one lone elephant which they rejected but then decided to face off against a group of 5.

Pretty much neocolonialism and glorified white saviorism.
“Local and Indigenous” Africans have been doing just fine living with lions, elephants and other supposedly “dangerous” megafauna for millennia before European colonizers came in, drove these magnificent beasts close to extinction due to uncontrolled sport-hunting, and then collectively said “whoops!” and then drove the Indigenous populations out of their traditional homelands just for the sake of these game reserves and national parks (same scenario as the U.S. government driving away Indigenous tribes for our own national parks like in Yellowstone for example), plus erasing thousands of generations-worth of Indigenous knowledge of how they lived with these animals to begin with, so much so that now they’re solely dependent on these white saviors with guns for *everything*, ironically the very thing that erased their knowledge of sustainable living and independence in the first place, and even then some of the locals hired by these hunting outfitters (“but it produces JOBS!!!”) actually have regret over foreign white dudes shooting their own natural heritage just for the sake of bullshit “sustainable use”, even though SCI, Dallas Safari Club and all Africans bought into this era of exploitation say they’re all either “pests” or “dangerous nuisances” to begin with:
www.ecologicalcitizen.net/pdfs/epub-080.pdf
But yes, whenever all these folks and corporations say “facts over emotions”, they just mean thinking only a certain amount of “logic and reason”; too much so and then you’ll realize: damn, this shit really is “neocolonialist”.

There was a rapid decline in population size over the 1970s and 1980s such that by the mid-1990s numbers had fallen below 300,000. 20,000 elephants are killed yearly,
Not for food but for personal enjoyment. Safe management would be protection not extinction. I’m not wanting to sound rude, I’m just trying to give you facts.
