Yeah, Kid 'n Play were in their mid 20's but I think Zila was actually 30 years old when they were filming which is a bit old to be playing a high school student. Stab was about 29. I think PeeWee was the youngest at 27.

Part 3 was definitely L.A. Play even mentioned it when him & Kid had that heart to heart in the car, where they agreed to get matching ties if the music industry didn’t work out.

It was based in Cali. When Play was driving that yellow car you could see the California license plate. You have to look hard cuz you can easily miss it. Also when they showed the projects, they reminded me of LA.

We used to hit the Flee Market hard back in the 80's in Chicago especially the one at the Drive-in close to Ford City Mall. I think that's Bedford Park, South West Hwy.Those were the days.

House Party ended the great era of high school movies of the 80s. A teenage film with regular black kids having fun and getting in trouble is tough to find. It's easy to see what's there; genius to see what is missing.
The first House Party movie was L.A. The house's in the neighborhood and the projects looked like L.A.

A while back, I saw a video by some YT channel about a guy his girlfriend or wife visiting filming locations throughout America, and they identified most of the filming locations in the city of Los Angeles as well as some suburbs on the majority of where the OG _House Party_ was filmed. If I recall correctly, Sidney's house was the same house used in the OG _A Nightmare On Elm Street_ as Nancy and Freddy Kruger's house for filming. In _HP2_ , downtown L.A. can be clearly scene during that rooftop chase after Miles and that one scammer. In _HP3_ , Play clearly states that they're in L.A.

Based on the fact there were yards & houses, it was based in Queens. But the roles was originally for Will & Jazzy Jeff so it could easily be Philly
