No one has a good story about Steven Seagal.
maybe Pam Greer does.
Probably, Putin
That's not true, Tom Segura's stories about him are quite good.
Exactly, he's spreads misery all over lol.
He is a legend in the couch karate arts.
Surprised there hasnt been a movie where they're adults and their kids try to have a house party
Facts
Exactly 😂
It be there grand kids probably 😅😅😅
That would be corny and make Kid and Play look very uncool.
Yes! And a Robin harris prototype!!!
To their defense. I’ve heard dozens of celebs say Segal is a pure asshole and even tries to hurt stuntmen on purpose when acting.
Same. Segal is no Van Damme, Arnie, Lundgren.
😮
Kevin Hart has a hilarious "segal" story. 😂
I met Kid back in the 90’s at a celebrity basketball ball game at my high school. This was around the time house party 3 came out. Man… Kid was one of my favorite rappers man! He was cool my cousin drew him a Kid N Play version of Odie and Garfield 😂 He Gave us dap singed an autograph gave us some encouraging words and kept it moving. He is a good dude man. My man Kid! God Bless him!

@@Mr.56Goldtop lol 😂 probably not because I don’t remember him doing any work on the floor! lol I was just amped to see one of my favorite rappers! lol 😂 One of the Brand Nubian cats put in work on the court that day tho!
Eisenhower in Rialto?
When he said he just wanted to essentially preserve the moment and his image of Sade by NOT going backstage and that was immature…..that was actually the most mature way to have handled it.
Agreed...
ive never heard one good story about Steven Seagal
And Gary Brusey 👀
Steven Seagal is considered the least liked person in Hollywood. NO ONE likes him. I don't think his children likes him.
@omarscruggs7471. Same....he's apparently an arrogant @$$ hole. Many Hollywood actors have confirmed it in interviews.
I still like Kid N Play, the few hits they had still sound good. And House Party 1 is a classic
House party 2 is a classic too
all of them are classics
@@righteousmasculineNa it Mike make you personally nostalgic but it’s not a classic. It’s a major step down from the first.
No, it wasn’t. It was a good comedy movie, a different comedy for the time, but it was nothing that special.
How could you not like these dudes. They have good chemistry.I would never expect Willie D to have them on but I'm glad he did.
Kid and Play should have their own podcast. These guys have great studio presence and perfect voices for it
They do have their own podcast XD
@MugenLord thanks. Definitely checking them out. 👍🏼
They do have one now funhouse
Agree! They seem real down to Earth and personable. They not in their heads.
I met both Brandy and Mariah Carey on separate occasions and they were the nicest! I was so relieved that my favorite famous icons were even better than I imagined - made me love them even more!
Kid: "Did U meet somebody famous Dat disappointed U???"
Willie: "Yea, but, let's get back 2U"

Those Madonna stories were 🥶 The way Play told that story... What a letdown that had to be
Kid n Play are LEGENDS in the game!!! 💯
Gotta' admit the Madonna story from Play, was a good one...
That "2 HPYED" song and video was legendary back in the day.
Madonna was very nice to my family and myself when we met her...... WAY better than we expected.
That is interesting. I’d love to meet Madonna, regardless of what ppl say. However, while I don’t doubt that everyone is inherently "good", deep down, several well-known people have openly said how they idolized her, but then when they finally met her, she disappointed them, or was cold, distant, short-tempered, or whatever. For example, Michelle Visage… she said she decided to not ever meet her idols again because of how Madonna treated her. Not sure what happened. Maybe it was an early-90s, female-singer rivalry thing on M’s side, idk. Because don’t forget it-Michelle and her group were on the most successful soundtrack in history, the BODYGUARD! 🤣 hahaha
That's funny. She's nasty to everyone else.
@@brownin329 oh yeah..... we have heard horror stories and saw the Letterman show appearance but that certainly wasn't the person we met.....
Sade my favorite forever. I'd be scared to meet her too haha
I met her back in the day. She was lovely.
I can't imagine that the woman that WROTE all those lovely songs, wouldnt likewise be a lovely person.
Early 90s Sade was next level. I completely understand dude's hesitation to meet her.
@@conchobarSade’s popularity wasn’t what it was by the time of Love Deluxe. She still was doing well during that time, but four years is a long time to not have new music out, much less eight or ten or now 15. The scarcity of new music from Sade and it still being good enough has made new music from her still a big deal though, even as adult contemporary radio has completely diminished now.
I have been fortunate to meet Dame Shirley Bassey a few times, each one was memorable. She was very warm, sweet, and NO diva attitude at all. She is a very nice person.
Play always interrupts Kid when Kid gets too much attention. They give off weird vibes when they're interviewed together.
I remember meeting Kid N Play at a listening party for Mantronix in the 90's. They were both very nice and even took pictures with me. 👍
Man I love Mantronix and enjoy Kid N Play
Steven Seagal will have an empty funeral
These guys like an old married couple- talking all over each other! 😆
sounds like the View lol
Well it was Kid who didn't give Play a chance to speak, until later, and he still talked over him before he actually finished. Play didn't talk over Kid too much, only a little, and that's because Kid would be quiet long enough for Play to speak.
Jellybean Benitez... blast from the past!! OG Bronx DJ

I agree wholeheartedly! Before he was "Simply Ravishing" he was a "Smooth Operator". RIP Rick Rude.
I’d rather have not had that mental picture.
And remember his manager Percival Pringle III, AKA Paul Bearer.

I remember the movies, the tv appearances, these guys were famous.
I used to worked at a mall in the late 80s in Lawrence, Nassau County Long Island and Kid ~n~ Play used to shop there all of the time.
When they both did that huuuuha huuuaaah huuuaahhh laugh that shyt was golden should be on a cartoon 😂😂😂
It was from a cartoon. "The Bashful Buzzard", an old Looney Tunes cartoon.

They could do a podcast for sure.

Willie D I had no idea you had a youtube show. That is awesome. Have a freaky deaky day my brother!
I was on the edge of my seat lol put it back through a couple of times ha ha great stories ❤
Awesome interview. I never thought these two could spit wisdom like this only knowing them as a kid growing up in the 80s watching them on MTV. These two are cool AF. Would love to sit donw and have a beer with them they seem real down to Earth.
Play has a great DJ voice
You love Sade like I do man. She is the pinnacle of the world. Healing sexy vibes resonant from her sexy little physical being. You dig? No one like her. I would love to see her. My old 70 year body can not do much anymore. I might have another 5 years left, if I am lucky. One thing that will not die with me is my loving adoration I have for Sade.
I'm a Londoner and in 1984 I was 11 and sade lived across the street from me, I didn't know who she was when my sister played me her music, and told me who she was, she use to ride around the area on a cycle, she had the big house across the street and she would scare me alittle becouse she was mature and intelligencly attractive, I was a kid lol but would see her every day, looking back I should of spoken to her
My man Kid had some mad crush n feels for Sade, dang bro you should have gone for it and we'd be finding Kid n Sade 19 kids and counting.
Willie D. Please tell Kid...he could have been nicer. I've never heard anyone say he was anything more than an a**hole. Met him at 2 after parties...came across very horrible. Compared...met Martin on 2 or more occasions and was extremely kind and one of those times your were with him. It's a character thing.
He just admitted to being immature. Just as many people are at a young age especially when experiencing early fame
That's interesting. Chris (Kid) used to be a regular at my club and he was always mad cool but it could be because I worked there. He would chill, talk to some people then leave. I personally liked the dude but maybe he was still trying to figure himself out. I only seen the other Chris (Play) come through once and didn't get to meet him but he seemed real comfortable smiling with everyone and just really positive. It's interesting to see as adults how different their personalities are because as kids they seemed like two bros from another mother.
Willie D looks like Barry Bonds sorta! This though is a very exiting interview man...Good Job Willie D!
I think he looks like that Little Bill character.
*You Didn’t Get Played…You Just Got Played Out* 🎶 🎼 🎵
“Everybody” was the dopest beat. Like the best 80’s porn soundtrack that never got made.
OMG ... Aging is a horrible thing.
Ok, I met Kid N Play once in NYC and they were not friendly at all (Especially Kid). I have pictures from that day. I guess it goes both ways.
Also, they got a story wrong. It wasn’t a party for Madonna’s book they were hosting. It was a party for the premiere of her movie Truth Or Dare.
Yep, he sounds a bit of a blowhard.
I remember the Truth Or Dare documentary, even from adolescence. But i could have sworn there was a book that she dropped too, in tandem with the movie or whatever. Like some kinky picture book. Wasnt there a perfume that she also released too?
They both came and did a play at my Church and I had a roll... Heavens Gates and Hell's flames Calvary Christian center Sacramento!!!
Play story is kinda fuzzy there, the way he described what happened and the particular song this situation had to have happened in 1983 because that is when Madonna released that "Everybody" song and I'm not a Madonna fan or expert but that had to have come out before she blew up with the "Like a Virgin" album that cannot have released in 1983 but a year later in 84 or 85 where Madonna really blew up.
So back then Play was not really the rapper and dancer we knew so he was like way in the beginning before the Kid n Play album which had to be at least 1986 or 87 plus they were promoting the music in NYC way before any of that music got played in the radio (which hardly played any rap) and way before MTV started dedicating a half hour show to hip hop music.
The other problem is Kid is talking about something that took place in early 90s with Sade who pretty much dominated early to mid 90s but Play is talking like ten whole years earlier than that almost so it's OK maybe he's not good at recollection of telling the story but essentially he was talking to a girl in the high end club that he had no idea who she was cause the only way to know in 1983 was if you was watching MTV and caught her early music videos which were technically speaking on an average level until "Like a Virgin" came out and pretty much wrecked the music charts, music video charts and next thing eventually she's next to Michael Jackson presenting awards on MTV.
Also remember that all these female and male singers, performers etc are still regular people so you might have been bored that day and some girl you have zero clue about is thinking that you look good to her so eventually she is close that a conversation can happen and it's like they say... you could have been thinking about something else, bored or just plain ignorant and it must have turned her off so much that years later she basically erased you from her memory cause that's women for you... unless Play had become super lethal probably...
But it don't matter the only thing that sucks is the lost opportunities during the 90s to do those TV shows and possibly get offered a movie role here and there or go audition to one even if the acting was rough...
Why did it "have to" happen in 1983? "Everybody" actually came in in 1982. The incident Play recounts could have occurred at any point after that year.
I agree- when he mentioned "Everybody" I was like hold-up that's going wayyy back and they weren't even on the scene like that yet. But I would assume they must've met in '82 since he didn't know who she was yet and NY DJs would play her songs before she became "famous." What I will say is that his story about two Madonna's sounds accurate. I had the chance to meet her in '96 when I worked at Webster Hall and she was sweet and humble. I wouldn't imagine her being the same way now but we gotta give it to her, she's been around foreverrrr and has left her mark on the music scene.
Play said he was friends with Jellybean while he was in the Superlovers crew. That was way before Kid N Play. Kid N Play met when their respective crews battled each other. While their first single came out in 87, they had actually put out a song in 86 as the Fresh Force and had been behind the scenes with Hurby Luv for years.
Play met Madonna before and after she became a Witch
one of the shows im elementing now was written originally for KID AND PLAY ( working through their business management; i dont know if they were ever aware ; and id love to hear them read the show in a rehearsal room; just once; this was the mid 90s and it didnt happen as most things dont; oh well hope springs eternal onwards

That's a homegirl right there. Madonna has new respect ftom me. You shouldn't have done Nicky dirty like that! You didn't know how connected she was!
He was smart to not want to meet Sade, I would not want to meet my hero Kate Bush, because if they aren't in a good mood you could really let it break you for a very long time.

They put all of these gay dudes on display for young black men to emulate for all these years. I'm disgusted with that so-called entertainment industry.
Wait this guy mentions seeing Steven Seagal and doesn’t go more into that!!!!!!
Most people that meet Seagal don't want to get into the details of it - it isn't worth it. My co-worker was an extra on a commercial Seagal did in Japan, and said he was a complete ass and hurt one of the guys doing a stunt. This was about 1993 or so for a cup-a-noodle commercial, so nothing serious, but Seagal gonna be Seagal.

Madonna was one of the earliest supports or Rap and Hiphop.
She insited taking The Beastie Boys on her iconic first US tour in 1985 "The Virgin Tour " against her mangers advice and warning.
She spoke up against censorship in Rap (and music), she supported many black artists (ask Rakim)
and she dated a few of them fine black men too (Rodman, 2Pac, Basquiat etc.)
It might sound strange but her impact on music, culture, feminism and the overall modern history is still under-appreciated and downplayed!
When Madonna dies, pop music will die!
