In my own personal opinion, every Kid N Play movie is classic: House Party 1, 2, 3 and Class Act. Love these guys!

@@retroesso I understand why people wouldn't find it funny. I always thought it was a fun movie with good music, which reflected the 90s era perfectly.

The House Party franchise reminds me of the Friday franchise....the first ones were at home in the hood....which makes them genuine and extremely real and relatable to us as far as black people in and around the hood....the sequels to those movies took the essence away but we still love them....as far as the third one in both franchises they tried to recapture the true essence of the first ones by going back to the essence but they didn't.....the side offs...Class Act and let's say All About The Benjamins were great within their own rights.

I was so glad Play mentioned Flushing High School [3:29], because that was my High School back in 1987-90. I still remember when I performed at my 1st Talent Show there, and I was doing Kool Moe Dee's "How Ya Like Me Now". In the middle of my performance, EVERYBODY started screaming and cheering, and I couldn't figure out why, until I turned around, and saw both Kid and Play dancing behind me!! Which was perfect timing because the 2 girls who were supposed 2 be backup dancers for me, chickened out at the last minute, just as I was about to go on. So these 2 gentlemen did me a solid, and I ALWAYS remembered and appreciated them for that!👍🏽

In the early '90s, I was more into gangsta rap, hardcore hip hop and conscious/political rap. But I took major offense when Vanilla Ice dissed Kid 'N Play. As a guest in hip hop, I felt he had no right. These brothers are pioneers in the game. I've always respected their work, even though it wasn't for me.
