hello my friends, it's been so so long. I hope you are well✨
I've finally made up my mind to quite corporate and leave my tech job forever. For the past 3 months, I have been busy building my own business small batch cookie co. to prepare for quitting my job as a program manager at Amazon. I can't wait to share the journey with you in a vlog series called quitting my job diaries.
In the first episode, I share my experience trying out different things to find out what I like vs. don't like with my cookie business. I chat about why corporate is not for me, how I battle impostor syndrome to believe in my own business, and share how I organize events and workshops offline, out together a show to make underground Chinese indie music accessible to deaf people, and create a gift box for charity to fund a deaf person's barista training.

Thanks for telling us the truth about this occupation. I quit my job as a medical practitioner last 3 years after 10 years in the field. It was not a easy decision. But in life we all know one thing and that it is too short to dread going to work everyday. Friends I’m not asking you to resign your job, no amount of money can buy happiness you just got to be wise.😊

@@whitebeca194 1:30 you got a point there that was exactly when I started planning for early retirement while i was still working, making about $2k a week from my investment portfolio while planning to build new side jobs and income. Best advice; never invest your life savings in a single asset.
@@lucymountfort783 Stunning! Speaking of investing, I’ve heard of it but I’m not sure of what and where to begin or how to make a decent one.
Could you please elaborate?
@@lisadavis1952 not until I start reading and researching,I noticed there are many investment alternatives available like real estate, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), sticks and cryptocurrency; but my advice is to hire an expert to guide to through a profitable one.

Thank you❤❤I learned so much from work with deaf/hearing impaired people. I never realized just how differently one would perceive and interact with the world when theirs is void of sound, and I feel so lucky to have made new friends who thought me a whole new perspective, about how to be empathetic and humble. Will definitely do this again!

I’m actually a very “scatter brained” person with no attention to details and get distracted so easily by the smallest of sound/movement/thought. But, my first job forced me to be organized. It was a painful process to learn to be the opposite from who I am, but I’m grateful to have learned to be organized. Turned out to be a useful skill:)
