I'm pretty sure the location based automations don't run in the background. They just send you a notification which you can tap on to run the shortcut.

If you want to share the automation, create a shortcut that does the tasks. You can use the Automation to run the shortcut and you can share the shortcut.
i have one shortcut, called "Boyfriend", basically it turns on vibration to the max.

you can save your insta tags as keyboard abbreviations so you just have to write something like #mustang and it replaces that word with all your hashtags. even faster than a siri shortcut ;)

How do you add siri shortcut (when asking “hey siri”)? There is no option for adding siri shortcuts. And thanks for automation shortcut.

The "Safari Auto Scroll" doesn't work for me even after I allowed icloud access. And the "Photo Details" only work for some photos. But honestly..........are these shortcut safe to use?

If you want to share automations, just create them as simple shortcuts and then have just one “Run Shortcut” action in the actual automation.
I’m trying to understand the warning to allow auto scroll to work. Does it only track my passwords and credit cards if I’m on a web page using that information? Does it have access to my auto fill information?

Hi Brandon. Great Videos. New subscriber. New to Apple. Question for you. A friend of mine is Blind. I want for him to be able to tell Siri to play the audio of a publication located on a Website. Normally when a sited person clicks on the publication, it comes up with a table of contents and you can click on the chapter one wants. Then you could read or hit a PLAY button to hear it read for you. I assume it would involve setting up a "Shortcut" to navigate to the website address where the particular publication is. He cannot see the table of contents, so Siri would need to ask "Waht Chapter?". Then there is a play button to (Play) stream the audio of the publication. Of course he cannot see the screen to hit the play button. So I assume a "Play" - "Pause" etc... commands would need to be implemented. My question is: Could a shortcut like "Lo-Fi" be modified to do this or would it be best to start from scratch? Or have you already created a shortcut that would work for this?
