Thank you Matt! It took me longer than a few minutes...but my old fob was 11 years old and may have had some old "trauma" from many previous battery changes and a wonky release button on the valet key release. The new cover I received from Atlantic British came with the little metal spring and the two spring clips so I didn't have to do that bit (thank God). Looks great and everything worked once I had it together (thank God again! 😅)
Many Thanks, just done mine, lost the spring, but thankfully a few minutes of scrabbling on the floor, found it again... Be Warned, that spring is very small and loaded.
The trouble is, the genuine LR replacement cases suffer the same manufacturing/design flaw as the original cases ie. The rubber comes away from the plastic case body. Then you're back with the same problem 12 months later. It's a disgrace that when you make a faulty part on a car, you sell the same faulty parts as replacements
It was not that easy as I thought in the beginning. Now the key feels so good! Thanks for the very helpful video!
These fobs are like intricate little puzzles, but your video explained the process. Many thanks and bye-bye rubberized mess!
It was easy to follow your detailed steps with a few pauses along the way. Thanks for the excellent presentation.
THANK YOU!!!! Did it all by myself, thanks to your awesome video! Well done!
Brilliant! I've been super gluing and messing with the rubber outside casing for years, now I have (2) as new key fobs thanks to you!
Great video, I finally managed to change mine after putting up with the huge rubber nonsense for a year or so 👍

Just saved me $580 NZD after I put my fob though the wash. Still works despite having so water seal ! Thanks loads for the vid.

Thanks for the video mate, took me quite a lot longer than 5 minutes, but all working now!!
Thank you Matt! Without your video there would have been know way I could have done this on my own.
Thanks for the video Matt… new key cover soooo much better than the rubber ones
Very helpful, I did this after watching your video!
You dont need that background so called music din. Your voice is clear and precise get ridofit and I would give 5 star.
Very nice video and great and simple instructions. Have a great day mate!
Great share! Saved me a few headaches and time
Appreciate the video. Extremely helpful!
Thanks for the video, my key is now like new.
Best video seen re changing fob
The whole goddamn thing just shatters apart!
Still a helpful video, thanks!
I lost the spring. Where can I get it?
Just changed mine CHEERS! Looking everywhere for the side clip and it was still on the metal side when I removed that.
Great video thanks. Just changed mine
You make this look so easy, I’m scared I’m gonna break it..
Is it possible to drive out the pin that holds the key ring so you can put a new ring in it?
Very good Very nice 👌
Nice video man !
Well done good vid 👍👍
Thank you so much for this.
Will you need to reprogram the key after having the battery out? Cheers
No the key doesn’t need reprogramming
Great video cheers mate
i was just gluing the stupid rubber but i might try this

Have a look at part LR052905, it’s a hard plastic outer… no more rubber peeling off
thank you
Misplaced my spring also smh
This looks like a complete nightmare - not for the faint hearted! The background 'muzak' is completely unnecessary by the way.
