Today’s upload is a very unique one! I recently had the unexpected pleasure of flying onboard American Airlines’ “Flagship Valor.” An Airbus A321-200 dedicated to the men and women of the US armed forces, who have been awarded the nations highest military honor. The Medal of Honor. Join me as we fly onboard the special aircraft from Philadelphia (PHL) to Boston (BOS) on a beautiful day! Enjoy! I post new 4K 60fps aviation content everyday on TH-cam. Love these videos. It's simple, but for a guy like me I can watch them for hours, and never get bored of enjoying the beauty of aviation. 120 years or so since we went from basically a bicycle getting airborne for a few seconds at Kitty Hawk, to this. I'll never not love staring at these birds in the sky.
Also fitting that the route was PHL-BOS, the two cities who probably have the richest and oldest history in the United States. Couldn’t have planned it any better.
Did you ever get a chance to pilot this one? I'd have been trying to get back up in the cockpit! 😂 This WWII Army Major's daughter thanks you for this treat. 💞🙏
CREDIT to you Sir as always super Amazing content vloggs trip report.. gorgeous editing filming sharp and clear and you rock it all.. absolutely beautifully captured, well done Sir.. Merci from Mtl Cdn..
Hey Skylite. Thanks for another "great fly". If you could just give me a heads up when you're taking the 1000 + mph hop, I'll be in the same row as you, but in the other window seat. (By the way, I love how the A320/321 alert systems now have a barking dog (no, not the Power Transfer Unit as many people think) reminding the pilots to start the second engine, prior to take off, if possible.) I had to chuckle when I saw the red "Construction Ahead" sign @15:19. Very poorly lit. The Philadelphia Highway Department should be ashamed of itself! I just hope they wake up soon and finally put up some signs for those nasty RR Crossings. That would surely reduce the number deaths caused by those pilots who play chicken with a rapidly approaching diesel-electric locomotive. You'd think they would know better, but... I got your last email, including "the pain may get worse before it gets better". Now there's a confidence booster! Also, I hope your niece is better. We're coming up on the last week of the semester, then a month of no teaching/no money. I will write back to you soon. Take care my friend. Stay safe.
I don't know the actual answer as to why they picked an A321. But, they often use aircraft like this for honor flights, or special military type flights. Perhaps they wanted to have the extra capacity that the A321 offers.
Also, just a heads up Skylite American Airlines handles bags very badly in Atlanta. So, if you ever fly there on American just a heads up about that. So I would fly Delta if your going to Atlanta.
Well I appreciate that, but many years ago, I worked as a baggage handler, so I know how bags are treated not just at American, but at every airline. So, I haven't checked a bag in years. I only take what I can carry on haha.
Love your videos but don t see any videos from grest cities like raleigh nc el paso texas or cities in tennessee like Memphis or Nashville. Hopefully 1 day.
Well, I certainly do need to get back to some of those cities. For example, I haven't been to RDU since before I started 4K filming. And I haven't been to MEM since I started filming everything. But I do have a decent selection of flights in and out of at least three of those cities. See them below. Hopefully you find some you may have missed! Usually no. There have been some rare instances when I have, but typically it was too difficult to hold the camera with the opposite hand. Trying to hold it across your body, and keep it steady is very hard to do.
It depends on a lot of factors. Sometimes the crews do stay with the plane, sometimes they don't. My experience on American is they switch planes more often than they stay with it. If they were running to their next flight I've seen them leave before all the passengers were off. Also, don't forget, at least one of them has to do a walk around, post flight. So, it's likely one was cockpit crew member is still around even if they're not onboard.
United. Easy haha. I actually quite like Untied. I feel like they've really turned their reputation around recently. United is my current favorite legacy carrier.
You could, but it's not worth it. I looked at a random day in January, and taking Amtrak costs nearly $350 one way, and takes over 5 hours. It was also offered 3 times that day. If you take the more regional public transit, it takes nearly 8 hours. Flights on the same day were $59, offered over a dozen times on different airlines, and takes 45 minutes. Even showing up to the airport 2 hours early, you're still saving several hours. A bus would, of course, take even longer than a train. Even in the northeast, where trains are better, planes are typically still faster and more convenient.

Sad that it doesn’t have ife anymore 😢
It takes an hour from Philly to Boston 😮 wow
You’re such an underrated channel.
Thanks my friend! I appreciate that!

Beautiful camera work! Never been to Boston, and it looks like a very cool place to land. Thanks again 😀
Hey brotha! I had the honor of working on the ramp around this bird over the summer! It's awesome you got to ride on it
That's awesome my friend! It was an honor to fly on it! Thanks for watching!
I'll be on the flightline in DFW Wednesday evening!watch for uploads, I'm supposed to see an A380 from Speedbird that day
The stunning thumbnail is followed by an absolutely stunning video!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! As always, thanks for watching!

Wow... great views of Boston and Logan Airport. Good views of the fall colors. The best part: no jet lag for me to rest up from this time.
This is great for office type work background noise!
A lot of people say they use them for that.
Nice video share. The aircraft that you traveled on was the medal of honor that reconized the US armed forces. Keep up the good work.
Every time you fly into Boston man, the video just hits differently, not sure if it’s because it’s my home airport or another reason though
Whatever the reason, I'm glad you enjoy them!
thanks Skylite
No problem my friend. Thanks for watching!
Awesome livery. One of Americans best. I even have this one for MSFS. It's on a 320 but looks just as good.
That was Beautiful! i love the a321!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend!
@@sla31 Ofc!
Absolutely gorgeous plane.. I have the 1:200 scale of it and have had the privilege of catching it live a few times. 1000 likes for your report :)
Glad you enjoyed it my friend. Now that I’ve flown on it I suppose I legally am obligated to add the model to my collection haha.
@@sla31 you will not regret it :)

Cool video!!
Thanks my friend!
Anyone know the name of the boarding music in the background during boarding?
Do JetBlue a321 jfk to lax and more a321 American Airlines videos full flights
I do have some of those coming up!
Great fly! Would fly a military plane that travels 1,000+ mph?
Would I fly on a plane that goes that fast? Absolutely haha! Sign me up!
9:06 le pilote qui passe un coup d'éponge sur le pare brise XD
Nice!
Very nice. Love an A321 but am curious as to why American chose to not pick a Boeing for that particular livery? Either way, great video.
I don't know the actual answer as to why they picked an A321. But, they often use aircraft like this for honor flights, or special military type flights. Perhaps they wanted to have the extra capacity that the A321 offers.
Oh wow this plane just left Dallas to Fort Myers, FL where I'm at, interesting
It's a sign! A sign for what? I don't know, but it's a sign nonetheless haha!
That route was DITCH Q437 HNNAH Q450 JFK ROBUC3 I think
Cabin Music is awesome. Anyone know what song it is?
I do not know the answer to that unfortunately.
Also, just a heads up Skylite American Airlines handles bags very badly in Atlanta. So, if you ever fly there on American just a heads up about that. So I would fly Delta if your going to Atlanta.

Is this a new airplane?
Not particularly. It's been in service for 7 years.

Do you ever switch hands mid recording
Usually no. There have been some rare instances when I have, but typically it was too difficult to hold the camera with the opposite hand. Trying to hold it across your body, and keep it steady is very hard to do.
Do the pilots not stay on board after you arrive? Don't they do the next flight on the same aircraft?

This is why I like this channel. You can learn a whole lot about how all the cogs fit.
Someone tell me, which Arline is better American or United? (Both are bad)
United. Easy haha. I actually quite like Untied. I feel like they've really turned their reputation around recently. United is my current favorite legacy carrier.
@@sla31 your kidding? Wow I’m shocked
For a short distance like that, can’t you just take a bus or train? Is it worth it to fly

No buzzsaw :(
Nope, not when you sit behind the engine. The buzz saw sound is only audible if you are sitting in front of the engine’s fan blades.
Ohh
I guess you barely reach a legitimate “cruising altitude”
