love when the pilot sounds friendly like that
this is a work of art and the reason the a321 is one of my favs
I love the A321N so much 😫
Great takeoff. Love seeing the California coastline.
Happy 700 episodes ! Thank you so much (from France)
Thanks my friend! 700! Hard to believe!
@@sla31 I'm still trying to catch up, but I especially love everything you do from around #389 on. That's when the videos are longer, meaning that you capture more of everything. Also the audio improved dramatically well before that one.
Very nice flight!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
@@sla31 You're welcome. I'm waiting for flights in LATAM, Copa Airlines, Azul, Gol, etc. Greetings from Uruguay!!!🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love that PTU sound.
Wow! At 3:16 you flew right over good old Detroit Metro Airport .....Fantastic!!
WOWOWOWOW!!!! Great takeoff views!! Good views of San Antonio!! Good views of the Colorado Rockies!! Good view of Lake Michigan and Lake Erie. Good view of Cleveland. Good views of Pennsylvania.
Now, it's time foe me to rest up from the 3-hour jet lag... time to give my kitty kat her lunch.
Just wait until I post the reverse flight. The 4.5 hour eastbound journey was a 7 hour westbound journey. Traveling west is always easier on your body, but man a 7 hour transcon was rough!
@@sla31 Wow. You must have had some fierce headwinds. I was on a Pittsburgh to Seattle flight that took nearly 6 hours. That was after doing a 12 hour flight from Tokyo to JFK. On that flight we had a super fast tail wind causing us to go at a steady speed of 640 mph.
That was when I flew from Bangkok to Tokyo and then, Tokyo to JFK, doing a full 180 degree turn around the planet and then, came that 6 hour flight to Seattle.
Needless to say, I had quite the case of jet lag after flying for 34 hours. And... I had to go to work the next morning!
You sound just like me, except I listen to these videos, because I love flying and don't get to travel these days. I really miss it.
@@scottbridge9391 Uggghghgh. I don't know if I could have handled that, because I don't sleep well during most flights. I probably would have taken a melatonin for that last flight.
@@heatherstub I did take melatonin during that trip, but no matter how you slice it, the time shift was grueling nonetheless.
Thank you sm skylite productions for making this vid. It’s so relaxing and Los Angeles is my local airport, And also please make more vids that are Southwest out of LAX please. Thank you
It's my pleasure my friend. I'm happy to share it all with everyone else. I actually have a lot of LAX content to publish right now.
Absolutely stunning, as always 👍✈️
Thanks my friend!
Alaska A321neo, you will be missed! R.I.P😭
Good. No one wants to fly shitty Airbus
Your videos are all AMAZING! Thank you for all the hard work you do! I use them often to compliment my MSFS experience :)
My pleasure my friend! Thanks for watching!
Wow!! I love this video!!! thank you for share it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! Loved it!
I flown on a Delta a321neo from SEA-SLC for my Spring break and I love how quiet the aircraft is and its a very fast and steep takeoff it does and I sat on that exact seat when I left SEA I was sitting in 23A too!! 😁😁😄
Love your videos been meaning to comment for some time - it was great to hear the captain’s introduction- would be great if you could do that or more of your flights - I find it always nice and reassuring to hear from the flight deck
Flights passing through 12K' from the west for approach to EWR are almost directly over a very familiar place.. our house (on the Pocono Plateau). Little after 3:53 you can see to left of the flaps the closeby tricky triangle (nick name for Pocono Raceway.) Anyways thanks for the views! Safe travels + look forward to all the excellent coverage! But of a cross wind landing huh.
Ah nice! I've been a fan of NASCAR for many years, and I always like to try to spot the tracks from the air. I had no idea Pocono was in this video.
Wing go bounce.
Woah that is crazy love this ❤❤
It is amazing you shar your experiences with others. I have never bin on a airplane in my life. My Foster mum & dad never tock me on one. I am 35 years old with my Samsung galaxy S22 Ultra 5g its like i am on the aircraft with you. Keep up the great content you put out there for us happy flights to you buddy.
Thanks my friend. I'm always happy to share my experiences. I'm able to travel a lot and I always said it would be selfish of me to not share it with others who can't fly, aren't able to fly, or simply can't afford to. And since I run this channel by myself, I really appreciate everyone who takes the time to comment, like and share the videos. It helps a great deal in me being able to continue posting new videos.
Thanks for the video, I felt like I was flying with you.
My pleasure my friend. My goal is for my videos to be as close to you being in that seat as possible. So I'm glad that's how it felt to you!
@@sla31 thanks dude, I think you've already achieved your goal. 🙏🏼👌🏼✌🏼
Pls make more full flight I love this
I mean, I do upload three full flights every week haha. I don't know if I can handle any more haha.
EWR was busy that day at least 3 planes landed before you even got to the gate.
What in the world? I cannot believe this because next Friday, I will be flying on Alaska Airlines with my family from EWR to SFO and it says that I will be flying on a Boeing 737-9 Max aircraft there and I will defently spot your gate at EWR and maybe I will be going out of that same gate you came into at EWR! I am just so ready for this big flight!
I was flying all week so I'm getting to this comment. I run everything on this channel by myself, so I don't usually have time to reply to comments until I'm done flying. I hope you're having a good trip my friend! You might even be in the air right now haha.
@@sla31 Thank you and believe it or not, I went out of the same gate you came into Newark from and I was thinking right of you and I also saw your spots you pictured in the terminal there.
PSA/word of caution to share. I was in an airport earlier and filmed a 10 second pre board shot in the terminal like you typically do. With a phone. They threatened to arrest me for that if I didn't delete it.
Safer to avoid Charlotte, I guess, since they hate people who like aviation...
Also, great work as always!
I curious who it was that told you that. Was it an airline employee, or a law enforcement officer? There are varying rules from one airline to the next, but what is 100% allowed all the time, is filming in the “public” commercial airports. Not only is it 100% allowed to film in all public airports, it’s against the law to prevent someone from filming in public places.
@@sla31 right, and that's what I said: there is no expectation of privacy in a public place, I wasn't even the only one doing it, and I wasn't even filming people, just the nice architecture of the new side of the terminal. It was an "airport manager" who brought what I think was a local cop with him to swat photographers. It wasn't TSA. I'm sure they had no right to actually do that, but the ones with the guns usually get their way...
Will also add Ive done photography in airports for over 15 years and never had this happen. They claimed everyone now needed a signed permit to take pictures in the terminal, which is laughable to say the least
Yeah that’s very strange and laughable as you put. Airports are public places, and cannot stop people from taking photos or videos. And as you said, it is well established that people should have no expectation of privacy in a public place. So they cannot make people stop filming them. But as you said, you weren’t even filming people. Very weird.
Any idea what that noise is at 4:15:48? Flown on many a320 series aircraft and never heard it before.
Again a nice morning departure over a calm ocean. L A seems very peacefully from up above altough it's not. I really like to try Alaska one day but here again i am surprised again that they have no tv's in the seat. Hm. Not good for a coast to coast flight. Jet Blue flies the same type on that route and they do have entertainment on their A 321's.
Yeah, Alaska chose to go the same way as American and Southwest. They offer you wifi that allows you to connect for free to their on-board entertainment selection. So basically, the bring your own screen method. So, it's not like they don't have IFE, you just have to have a wifi capable device.
Alaska Airlines: Proudly all Boeing....? 😆
Right!? I thought they only flew 737s 😅
Yes, the proudly all Boeing stickers are comical at the moment. However, they will be true again soon as these A321's they inherited from Virgin America will be phased out by the end of this year.
Hey Skylite Productions! Congratulations on 75,000 Subscribers! I looked up on Google cause today is my 1st time watching Alaska Airlines on TH-cam! Unfortunately, I heard that Alaska is gonna retire all Airbus Aircraft’s (A319, A320, and the A321NEO) by the end of 2023! Hope you have a great day!
Thanks my friend! I appreciate that. And yes, not only is Alaska going to retire them, they already have retired most of them. Only a few A321's are still in service. The A319's and A320's are already gone. By the end of next month, they'll all be gone.
@@sla31 Dang man! At least for Alaska Airlines they still have other aircraft’s around
4:02:10 That's some powerful wake turbulence
It is possible wake turbulence played a roll, but it's worth noting that we were dealing with extremely heavy and gusty winds in general. We made the transcontinental crossing in just over 4 hours of in air time. We had over 150mph tailwinds most of the way and as we were descending we were getting hit with 40 mph crosswinds with gusts up to 60 mph.
Wow, basically only 4 hours coast to coast
Yeah, as the Captain mentioned at the beginning, we had great tailwinds. I took the reverse flight the next day, and it took us nearly 7 hours to fly back.
is this Detroit city at around 3:18:00 ?
Yup and you can pretty clearly see Downtown Detroit there as well
Very, very good wind! I like it!!!!!
I am flying the reverse of this route also on an A321 with sharklets, but JetBlue. Making this comment from the flight itself.
When you get to LAX Lyft lux and Uber select are cheaper. Unless you have someone picking you up that’s the hack
@@brandonelam4284 lax isn’t my final stop actually.
16:44 I don't know if i'm dumb or not but i've never seen control checks during taxi. Is that like an airbus thing now? I only fly on 737's and they don't do that.
There are so many airlines doing that control on the wings.
I guess you have simply missed it. It's at 16:27. The flight surface controls are part of a checklist and is of course a must. If they have a problem later or they might have an accident then the NTSB can proof easy that they didn't care about the checklist. Not good for their further career. If they survived.
I'd give you the timestamp but Nikolaus already did, so I'll just thank everyone for watching!
@@sla31 🤭
What time of day was it?
This was an early morning departure. I don't remember the exact time, but I think the flight was around 7:00am.
Oh Alaska bought 321s now?!
No, Alaska inherited an A321NEO order form Virgin America, and plans to retire them by the end of the year. So they’re not going to be around for long.
Very very bumpy aproach. Uh.....
Yes it was.. It was quiet the ride and the camera doesn't do it justice. The pilots were fighting heavy, gusty winds.
Ok
