Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I saw Cliffe on my college campus in the late 80-90’s. I was the catholic student sitting on a bench away from the crowd while he was teaching in the center. Cliffe began my journey to leaving the Catholic Church and I still have his book today Give Me an Answer. I have highlighted almost every word and often refer to it when I am sharing my faith. Cliffe is the real deal.

I think he Is an Indian , if he said about the avatars of hinduism is fake in India his face would be smashed lol. You cant even have a discussion like this in india on the roads , espeically Christians can't share the gospel in India . A “legend” really? He’s a hypocrite and doesn’t even know it. I truly feel sooo sorry for him and the many warped people like him who impose not the character Jesus’ words, but their personal understanding of the Bible that goes against the Laws of Nature, and Natures God! I have just finished brother Cliffe's message, and it is as if he is my dear brother, since maybe about 2 months ago now, when I began to listen to his presentations and his interactions with people around the University in New Canaan. Cliffe gives me such joy when he speaks, and mainly because I knew his Dad, Emelio, so well, and Emelio was an Evangelist, and of course Cliffe too has been called to the ministry, likely as an Apologist, or one who defends the wonder of the life of Yahushua Messiah, the Saviour of the world's citizens, who have with all their hearts, chosen to accept Him as both Saviour, and Master/Perfect Example of that life Yahushua desires His brethren and sisters to ALSO walk like: characteristic to His perfectly lived life. I don't think Emelio was as accomplished at sports as Cliffe's physical stature allows one to assume, but one night at about 2200h back around the early summer months of 1978/79, I received a telephone call at the station with one more hour to go on my Radio shift. I was the Morning man at this AM Gospel Radio Station [0500 - 1300], and that night was due to another worker's illness. It was one of the most blessed telephone messages I had ever received in my life! This City was small, but there was an obviously large Hill which had traffic lanes, and as Emelio had arrived earlier that evening, his rental car had maneuvered him to the top which showed one a most lovely view out over the lower City. When a young boy/man, I had spent some happy times in that same area, alone with many of my girlfriends, as the spot brought out such wonderment in the minds and hearts of both young and old! Emelio Knechtle had been parked there for an hour or so, listening to me and my sharing of the Everlasting Gospel, and how my criminal life had been changed forever by having promised myself about four years before this very time, I would commit suicide and say good-bye to this rotten life, unless between August of '73 and '74, the horrible life I had been living, somehow changed to a life I could truly enjoy. I had gotten married for the usual reason for those days, at 18 years of age, and it fell apart due to my various lusts: mostly for women; drugs, alcohol and making more money in those days, than most gifted medical doctors were making, and although there were surely people who would have killed to have the "wonder of my life rather than their own," I had been living the high life, making a yearly middle-class salary of the day in less than a month, driving the best cars, eating the best foods, holidaying often every year, and going through women as if each were one potato chip, and I usually bought a bag or two each month! However, I am so very happy to express to you, having met the Master through a friend of mine I'd not seen in over 5 years, and he had astonishingly changed completely since we hung with one another; and too, funny enough we met at my front door when I answered the knock, on the 18th of August, 1974, AND MOST STRANGELY, that month was the month I had promised I was going to commit suicide the year before UNLESS things changed for me, my life again becoming a life I truly loved to be part of, I realized this visit between friends that month, was just far too attributable to the workings of a Loving Heavenly Father I had long ago forgotten as a possibility, pressed itself in upon me with such true love/agapé, I could not just throw away this was indeed God selflessly sending me a true friend who would GIVE ME THAT WAY OUT OF DEATH BY MY OWN HAND, to speaking with me, before all was over.
Emelio told me he would be preaching at the little church I attended the next morning, but over maybe 15 to 20 minutes on the phone THAT night, we had said so much more than two strangers could fit into such a short conversation, we became friends forever, and I will meet Emelio again! Often, I spoke again with Emelio and too with his wife, and met him again while he was on the road, visiting churches I had been working at, or also there to speak, and I realized that spoken of above, had begun a very special kinship of the spiritual manner, that is very difficult to find in those days. When I heard of his passing, I called his dear wife, and we rejoiced and cried together, but joy was the center of the interaction, I assure you. I write these words, to tell all, Cliffe and his family come forth from a most amazing lineage of lovers of the Master Yahushua Messiah, and in my 47 years of walking in the footsteps of the Master, I can say although I have known and worked with many very fine men and women who loved Yahushua, Emelio was a man who had been given a most amazing gift for Evangelism! When this brother of mine preached, and I kid you not, and I do not lie, the atmosphere was changed into a meeting place with Yahushua Messiah! It seemed to me, the man lit up from inside, and every word touched a part of me that bowed and said with great joy: "Thank you so much, for the revelation!" I see this when Cliffe speaks as well, and I am convinced men and women such as these, are well nigh due to come forth in these last days, that we might be blessed, and moved to study that we too be proved, we might take the words of Scripture, and turn them into the loveliest words the people about us will ever hear, at a time when such is sadly lacking! Let us every one, pray for men and women to be blessed of the Holy Spirit, that our spiritual strengths will swell within us, even as a weight lifter's muscles become outstandingly more powerful, as he continuously to lift and repeat, even as we "pray and repeat," and "Study, share, and repeat!" Messiah did ALL HE COULD POSSIBLY DO, that He would create for His Father and our Father, a massive Family That Yahuwah Eloah Almighty might be the happiest Father He could possibly be, having plenty of children into whom He might place His amazing agapé! I pray you and I may also understand, WE TOO have special gifts given us, that we add more and more children to the Family of the Father and the Son, for Their great enjoyment! Personally, I am most happy, after I realize I have been used for the joy of my Great Father Yahuwah Almighty, and I know His agapé for His children is so great, over a period of FOREVER, His children of Whom we too are, will be the most glorious of His delights, each and ever one: "16: Then they that feared Yahuwah spake often one to another: and Yahuwah hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared Yahuwah, and that thought upon his name. 17: And they shall be mine, saith the Yahuwah tsa baw aw [of Hosts], in that day when I MAKE UP MY JEWELS; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him" (Malachi 3: 17, KJV, emphasis, Name changes, and insert in brackets, mine)! I feel so very loved of the Father, and too of course, of our Saviour, Yahushua Messiah. Although this world is becoming that which we knew would occur, as we get down to the last days, DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THIS WORLD, for we have NOT been sent here to find happiness and amazing love and the center of our existence! When we find emptiness and insecurity in this world, let us realize, although 6000 years in length, we have been given these years, that Father and Yahushua might obtain the cream of the crop: those of the fallen earth, who have through think and thin, ALWAYS realized FATHER has indeed been making up HIS JEWELS! We still have time left, to begin to realize THIS amazing truth, and thus may we always CHOOSE to be among Our Father's Jewels! Life today, and over the 71 years of it, has gone from my as a youth, doing all things that Mom & Dad might be proud of me, because I have learned and in learning, become that man they have always wanted, that they could be proud of! MORE THAN ALL ELSE SINCE BECOMING BORN AGAIN, I have known I want more than everything else, Father Yahuwah to be happy above measure, to place me in the City, New Jerusalem, and always look at me with a feeling of pride! I do not seek to be the best, for Haylale the devil has taught me this is not always good; however, I want to be among the best, so the smile of my Father, can be readily seen as very proud of that which I have done in a world that began from the beginning, on the wrong side, the very opposite of that which we were created for! We STILL HAVE TIME TO IMPROVE ON THIS, and so why should we waste our time, trying to be the best we can be, in a world that is absolutely being run by the enemy of souls, that more can be LOST, than can just be SAVED! Let us allow our LIGHT to shine upon the good and the evil, and pray a goodly amount of both, will become desirous of eternity due to our desire to accept them, because we love them all! I don’t really know this guy but I’ve been watching his Videos and I just LOVE how he answer all these questions so in depth.. I think the students think they can outsmart him until they realize he has knowledge of philosophies and science they possibly study in college.

robinson nait: Hi there, brother! I am in full agreement with you, nait, and I hope you do not mind my using your 4-letter name rather than your 8-letter name, OK? I love Cliffe, and I must say, I do believe Cliffe did indeed answer the question that comes forth with his words; however, that which he said, was not ALL that should have been said! How then would I have noted that which Cliffe noted, without leaving anything out?
Scripture tells us quite clearly cannot work our way unto heaven, as we have been locked out from Heaven, due to the sinfulness that exists within our bodies. And therefore, that which was exhibited on the right and left sides of the Master at Calvary, were that which is proof one of the gang members had been touched by the Holy Spirit in such a manner, as at THIS particular time, this one recognized WHO Yahushua was indeed! Because this man was at that time being moved by the Holy Spirit, Yahushua clearly understood by his words at that particular time, his faith in that which he remembered from study of the Scriptures, or hearing of the Scriptures, had led him to this very place and time, whereby in ultimate humility, his words showed Messiah he understood who he - the sinner - was, but in a way whereby all he could see concerning himself, was that he was worthy of nothing! He understood who he had been possibly for most all of his life, and so all he could get out unto the Master, were these words: "42: And he said unto Yahushua, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom" (Luke 23: 42, KJV, Name change, mine). When I read these few words, I see a man which I will elaborate upon in answering robinson nait's question, which he has asked below. I have added these few lines, because I hadn't finished the answer I posted, by adding verse 42 of Luke above. I will answer your question now, nait, and you may see clearly that which can happen in life especially today, that possibly was shown there at Calvary, for these last days to understand specifically!

robinson nait: There is much more to this question, nait, and I see in your question, a deep need to understand this, and hope the Holy Spirit will use me to assist your desire, as much is shown in Luke 23, which few have heard elaborations upon. Firstly, there are TWO CRIMINALS in this scene, and I believe they are there, to cover BOTH of the kinds of people to be found on Earth, at the Second Coming of the Master, Yahushua: 1/ The criminal who asked Yahushua to "Remember me . . . ." is identified as a criminal, and so we cannot argue with that! Both of these men, were criminals; however, one of these men, at times in his life, thought deeply about the right and wrong actions occurring in his life, meaning to me, HE felt the touch - the whisper - of the Holy Spirit, opening before his spiritual eyes, the deep wrongs that had become his everyday habits! But nait, neither you nor I can know for certain, which of these two criminals was that man, or if the greater possibility BOTH MEN had experienced these spiritual warnings from the Holy Spirit!? That which we can say for certain, is this: him who asked: "Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom" (Luke 23: 42, KJV), had once been a great friend of the Father, and had been a practicing believer, who loved greatly the beauty of the Everlasting Gospel! But because there is such a diametric opposition between living by the world's standards of goodness, and the Heavenly standards of goodness, I see this man who could only ask, "Remember me . . . ." as one who, although a self-confessed criminal, once loved unto strict spiritual obedience the Master, and he walked in Yahushua's footsteps . . .knowing Yahushua SO WELL, he knew all he needed to say was this single sentence, for THIS WAS THE MASTER, and knew all things about this young man's life. The criminal knew all that was needed for Messiah to know emphatically was: "Please, never forget me, upon entering Thy Kingdom, and I know I shall be there with you, for Messiah, I am deathly sorry I fell away from Your ways, and want your blood to wash me again, from all the wrongs in life I returned to, and I TRUST YOUR AGAPÉ is so great even for one like me, You will save me from all my wrongs, and accept me into the Beloved with You!" I can imagine these few words meaning so much more, and Yahushua understanding ALL THOSE BITTER WORDS OF SORRY, and knowing this man will be eternally sufficient as a Child of the Living Father, Yahuwah Eloah Almighty!!
Him who said NOTHING, may well have had a similar history; however, when the Spirit spoke with him, he could not help but becoming numb to the spiritual, as Haylale the devil paraded the carnal before his face, and this criminal likely found great joy in worldly ways, and so although he was in the very same position as his thief friend, and His Saviour - if he but asked to be remembered too - it was not as important for the carnally-minded one to please the spiritual, as his experience had not ever been akin to his friend's experience of the Spiritual! Personally, I once thought I could never be forgiven, because of sins I had committed as a believer, and continued to commit for a good while, because they were pleasurable, and I had been hurt so much by another, I was lifted from that hole I seemingly lived in, EXCEPT when I partook of this sin!Today, I realize how great a fool I was to think that, because if you give Yahuwah Elohim a reason to love you and save you, They will work with you, until They have expended great strength and power, that THEY can be certain, you will indeed live with Them eternally! We can lose our Salvation, as Scripture teaches this often; however, when we FEEL lost, all we need to do, in Yahushua's Name, is seek forgiveness, and express to Yahuwah how untrustworthy you feel, and that hurting Them makes you want to die immediately! All Father and Son want from us, is continual contact, with sharing of the good things you have done as a Child of the Father, but as well, confessing the wrongs you have done, and the sorrow you feel, because NOW you know how you can truly be at the best of times. There is no sin the blood of Messiah cannot wash away, and so long as you are completely on the side of Yahuwah Elohim Father and Son, at the time of the visit of the Thief in the Night (See 1Thess. 5: 2 and 2Peter 3: 10, KJV), as this time refers to a point past which you cannot get through, if precisely then, you have sin and a love for it in your life! It is in our CORPORATE futures, so we must understand, we must in these latter days, grow ever closer to Messiah and thus to Father too! Study the Scriptures, so you can receive the power of Messiah to LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES! None will be lost, who are Truly ready to place you lives in the hands of Messiah, because your agapé and trust in and for Him, is far greater even than your own self! We will need this kind of trust, for the times are changing rapidly, and let us face it, are you not FEELING the frozen breeze of the devil Haylale trying to become the greatest confuser of you and your family members you've ever experienced? TRUST YAHUSHUA ELOHIM, because THEY more than any others even imaginable, are eminently trustworthy! I would just like to do this on college campuses answering questions. Is there any advice on how one could also do ministry such as this or volunteer speaking with others? I’m an ex atheist who became christian back in 2011. I have been in directive research in world religions, research assistant for church staff. And I am on my way to getting my masters in Jan at Biola online for New Testament. I would just like my talents to be used like this video but I don’t know where to start or where to even go to look.

I don't believe I did have a relationship with Jesus, I was raised into the Christian faith by my devout Christian father, as were all my brothers and sisters. None of us now call ourselves Christians, for various reasons we all gave up on our Christian beliefs. Regarding Jesus, a man of that name well have existed, but I'm fairly certain he wasn't anything like the character mentioned in the New Testament.. can i prove that?, No I can't, but by the same token, I don't think you could prove he *did* exist. ( you could probably prove it to yourself or to a fellow Christian, but I think you'd struggle to prove it to a non believer).

What Cliffe left out was that with the struggle of the Believer to live the Christian life, God gives us the Holy Spirit to strengthen and guide us in the effort. He makes it all about our trying to live the Christian life, however effective or ineffective, based on our own efforts. He also never goes into those who confess Christ, and struggle with "persistent" sins, like pornography, smoking, anger, especially as "new" Christians, and new Christians with no "Disciplers", any of the self-destructive traits talked about in Galatians chapter 5, and how growth in Christ is on the schedule of Christ, not the "onlookers", you and I, and that God will bring to completion that child of God as is in His timeline, not ours. But I still love Cliffe's willingness to share. Praise God!

You should do the Ray Comfort "Are you a good person" test. It will put them right on the spot.
The Ray Comfort test is faulty. He uses the 10 commandments as the standard for righteousness. He says "if you stand before God, will you be guilty according to the 10 commandments".
The 10 commandments are THE old covenant that God made with Israel (Ex 34:27-28). Hebrews teaches that this covenant is obselete and a new covenant is what we're under.
Galatians 4:21-31 is a important passage on the two covenants.
There standard are much much higher than the 10 commandments, therefore much harder, dare I say, impossible to achieve, thus the need for a saviour. I have never murdered anyone in a physical sense, so technically, I obey and pass the "shall not murder" command.
Have I hated others? unfortunately I have. So I have failed the "love your neighbour" command.

such a powerful message at the first half way point...Today, someone I know, their husband died, he is in his 50's and his whole life was consumed with making millions which led to drugs and cheating unfortunately, then he lost it all and then not long ago he finally rededicated his life to God and started back deals, and had a multi million dollar deal in the works Now today, I hear he died...WOW all I can think about is when all is said and done what really mattered most? i really like his explanation of how to get to heaven... its the grace of God that gives you the faith, not by works or good deeds do you go to heaven but by faith. however, if you have true faith you struggle to not be a hypocrite and thus try to do good works and live your life according to Jesus Christ teachings. the struggle is not about doing enough good works to earn our way to heaven, but to remain faithful and not be a hypocrite in our beliefs and actions so we may enter heaven through the grace of God. i struggled a lot with this as a catholic... now there may be extra rewards in heaven for those that do the most good works, but that is another subject

Scientific reliability is not dependent upon experiment “repeatability”. It’s just as dependent upon proving something “wrong” or false. In other words science is the PROCES of experimentation and then a professional consensus about any preponderance of the evidence. Not even necessarily the number of people that believe something because a consensus is based upon, does the data support the hypothesis or not. Einstein was basically right and at the time there were other prominent physicists that didn’t believe Einstein’s theories.

Cliffe has said that people who argue for moral relativism just want to do what they want, and that'll include sins like pre-marital sex. I think I can spot those kids as they keep twisting logic to arrive at their goal, but they're not listening to Cliffe. I think that's what one kid was doing here. In my experience, it won't do any good to say what you think they're really trying to accomplish with their argument because they'll immediately deny it.
I saw another video where a woke girl said she followed Buddhism and it sounded like she did it so she could do whatever she wanted. But I'm not sure if she understood Cliffe explaining that she can't rely on herself for salvation because sometimes she does evil things. Christianity is about doing what God wants, and what Jesus told us to do, and it's really hard so I can see why lots of kids don't want to do it.

Again, we don’t see the wind, yet we have evidence of it by the effect it has on objects within its path; the rustling of the leaves, the feel of the breeze, the sound it makes, etc. There are many examples of “things not seen” which we all believe in because we have evidence of their existence, like wind and gravity. Faith in the Biblical sense is not “blind faith.”

Paul says this in the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 15. It is a statement which scholars have traced back to a creed memorized by the early church within 2-20 years of the resurrection. Hope that helps.
Not all sources are equal. I know Cliffe has said this before, but it is true. Islamic sources are a few hundred years after the last Christian or Roman sources. They are far from the best sources & that matters.

I'm pretty sure the Quran is a phenomenal source when it comes to the teachings of Mohammed. But, given that it was written several hundred years after the death of Christ, I would be skeptical of what it says specifically about him.

The Quran was written well after Mohammed's death. We also do not know what it might have contained, as later people destroyed every copy that is not what we have now. Because of this process, we know more about the New Testament being reliable, than the Quran.
That said, I feel it will tell you what Mohammed taught. I just wouldn't claim it authoritative about Christ, since we can link those passages with known gnostic gospels & we know those sources were changed by the Greeks from the original account to fit the philosophy. In truth Mohammed's source for information on Christ is not Christianity. His claims also don't fit what the Romans or Jews or Christians were claiming (they do agree on some points though).
