    Sounds fine to me. I doubt many people would be able to tell a blind recording of this, most "high end" computer amp sims and the real thing. Thanks John, good video.

    Thanks for the review. I got one of these (NUX MP2) and a HB TE-62 tele to start my journey into the electric guitar world - guessing it would be the easiest path. I'm struggling a bit to understand how to build different tones (clean, crunch, lead) - and which amp/settings would be better for the job. So perhaps you could share your settings - or even make another video if you like the idea.
    For about the same amount of money you could get a cheap bluetooth midi controller (mwave chocolate) and you can set it up to switch the settings in the NUX MP2.
    Anyway, you're doing a great job, I'm always enjoying your content.

    Timing of your purchase and review made me think you would be reviewing the recently released NUX MP-3 Mighty Plug Pro. Not sure if the range of amp models or audio quality are any better than the MP-2, but it does have quite a few additional features, including the ability to load 3rd party IRs and livestream - useful for online teaching amongst other things, so might be of interest to you. It has certainly had some good reviews, e.g. from Leo Gibson and Dave Simpson, to name but two. More expensive than the MP-2 (£91 from your friends at Bax Music as I write), but still seems good value. Hope you consider reviewing it at some point.

    Thanks for review of Mighty Plug! I use headphone amps due to building noise restrictions and they are great fun. Neither the Vox Amplug or the Fender Mustang Micro have this versatile app with it's ton of settings. The amps sims are useable. Have to pick one of these Mighty Plugs up now.

    Hi John, this little Gizmo sounds wonderful. I use a headphone amp to record and had been using a PockRock. I was looking for something to upgrade things and saw this online. The phone app bit put me off this one, but it seems I needn't have been worried it all seems straight forward enough. In the end I went for one called a Lekato "Cube Baby" I'm really pleased with it. The spec is very similar, nine amp models, reverb, delay, modulation effects ect. I'm basically a low tech person so turning a knob seemed like the better option for me.

    I had the Boss head phone amp. And have the Mustang Micro. It hooked to my mac. But unlike the Boss when I try to play along with a song. I can not hear both the track and my guitar near as well if any. Compared to the Boss. No matter how I set the volume on both. How is this NU with doing that? Thanks

    Looks a handy little device, but I'm inclined to think less is more when it comes to headphone amps, which is why I'm quite happy with the Amplug AC30 when I don't want to annoy the wife or the neighbours. It's also priceless for visiting guitar stores as you can plug in and dial out the pushy sales people. Don't want to pile on Fender but I did have the Mustang Micro but got my money back as it didn't retain its charge.

    Great video as usual, thanks! I have the same amo and love it except for an annoying issue: there is a big delay on the Bluetooth input. So when I play on TH-cam play-alongs, the video sound comes has almost a 1s delay with the video pictures... This is why I'm using my Fender Mustang Micro for that specific use case

    another feature is that you can play songs, backing tracks from your phone (spotify, youtube, lessons) and jam over it while you listen to it through your earphones

    I have the Fender Mustang Micro. It sounds good but the interface is difficult to use with all the light combos to remember. This looks better. One thing I found was it is hard to use with my SG because of were the jack is.

    The Mighty Amp app requires GPS on the Android device or it will not work. This could be a problem for tablet users with no smartphone (e.g. me). There is a solution though with the Mightier Amp app which according to Nux support and me is better than the Nux app.

    • @stuartwineberg3653
      @stuartwineberg3653 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Uses Bluetooth not gps. Agree that mightier amp is a very good alternative

      @@stuartwineberg3653 Mighty Amp requires that the Bluetooth device has GPS or it will not work. My tablets will not connect but my wife's phone will.
