Your grill is very nice, big, and the new adapter hose and larger propane tank will just make it much more fun for the family. Those carpenter bees are big fascinating critters.
When changing hoses/connections, I would have checked for a propane leak on both ends of the hose using soapy water. Some people put the soaps water the full length of the hose just to be sure it has no leaks.
My dad had this hook up for the propane mantle lantern 45 years ago, except it was a solid pipe and it would last us a week at the campsite and it was bright like a 100 watt bulb
Always open the lid of grill before opening propane valve and igniting. The gas can build up under the lid and when lit could cause an explosion or cause burns on face or arms.
Good buy man! I have a very good quality portable coleman gas grill that is old (about 15-20 years old that only cost $50 when we bought it on sale), but was hardly used. Its better quality then the crappy home sized grills they make these days that cost $300 plus. I will get one of these adapters, and will probably have this grill for many more years to come especially since its easy to store indoors away from the moisture outside in the off grilling season. Thanks!.
Find out if your fire pit already has a regulator build in. Coleman stoves and Mr. Buddy heaters have regulators built in. Some grills also have a built in regulator.
Is it safe to use that hose without a regulator? I bought a hose like that for my Coleman but I’m afraid to use it until I can find a definitive answer if it’s safe like that or not.
New to gas grills. Always been a charcoal bbq'er but our new building does not allow charcoal grills. Wish I had known that before I moved in. Anyway, I bought a portable gas grill and hooked up a 1 lb propane canister using a steak saver adapter on the connecting hose which came with the grill. When I went to disconnect the tank after grilling some chicken, there was a bit of hissing and some icy cold substance which got onto the regulator. It, of course was melted within 4 minutes. So, did I do something wrong or is that normal? Was I supposed to relieve pressure somehow? Also, can you run down the proper order for disconnecting one of these tanks? Obviously first thing is to turn off the flame using the grill knobs. Thanks
I believe you can, but if you don't use the right 10' Mr. Heater hose, you will need a fuel filter on the hose to stop the oils from leeching into your buddy heater (the buddy portable heater). Mr. Heater sells one hose that works without the fuel filter - it works because the composition of that 10' hose is different and does not leech chemicals into the house and then into your Buddy portable heater clogging it up. The Mr. Heater hose to use is F273704. Hoses to your Mr. Buddy heater will not need a regulator as the Mr. Buddy portable heater already has a regulator built into the heater.
Thanks for the good video. Someone else said this too, why squeeze all the delicious and extremely juice out of your burgers???? Oh, be sure they are 100% grassfed burgers as that is the GOOD-FOR-YA fat! You won't ever go back to dry, tough, flavorless burgers!
For anyonee watching this in 2024... If your Coleman camping stove is set up for 1lb tank the regulator WILL NOT allow you to use 20lns tank . Sure you may get lucky and have a faulty valve that will alow it but thays unlikely.
I'm not gone say anything about how you cook your burgers since you do it the way you like it, good thing to hide the tank and I hope it was not poison ivy. :) And thanks for the video.
You don’t use a wrench on connections for propane tanks. Check for leaks before you use it. Christ. And basically have your bbq sitting in the bushes lol. Brilliant.

Hell yeah. I was thinking you sound like the guy that clears out drains during floods. Here you are providing propane advice too. Man of the people.

You have such a nice garden!
Honestly your videos make my day and are very calming :)
Cue comments about not pressing the burgers on the grill :) Your garden looks awesome!
awful

Great seeing Muckman on his off day doing normal guy things. Cool setup on the propane! Stay safe.

When opening the BBQ tank for any BBQ only a one-quarter turn is necessary .
Thanks for making this video. I like the idea of hiding the tank.
Thanks for the video, exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for sharing this video with us. That is a great way to save money for sure.

😢😢😢🎉😢😢6
Thanks for the bumble bee at the end.
after a hard days culvert cleaning you deserve it
I thought that this was changing the fluid from a larger tank to a smaller tank but this is more effective
It's also more legal. If you refill a 1lb tank, it is illegal to transport it---Federal DOT regulation.
I like propane and propane accessories 😜
Thanks for sharing dude 🙏
Hi there, great video you have presently.
I have an nxt 200 grill and when i hook up the hose nothing comes through it , trie several hoses . Anyone know what i am doing wrong ??
One mistake while grilling is never push down on the burgers. Lol let it come out normally. It will taste so much better
Matter of opinion. I drain the fat from ground beef when using it in dishes.
you can refill the small tanks
Can you get a hose for a colemam heater for a bigger bottle UK 😎
Hey, that's pretty neat! 😀
nice video, I went out and bought one of these, it works very well. Is that grill grate a teflon non stick?
thanks for sharing thumbs up :) i think those dislikes there because you pressed on that burger lol
My home bbq has a regulator. Is it wise to connect one in this type of use?
Hey quick question I want to do the same thing for a fire pit that uses 1 pounders someone’s said I have to use a regulator is that true?
This is just an adapter for 1 pound to 20 pound, Google says they are the same pressure
Find out if your fire pit already has a regulator build in. Coleman stoves and Mr. Buddy heaters have regulators built in. Some grills also have a built in regulator.
Cool video
which adapter do i use to hook up a classic coleman stove... POL or Type 1?
Arnt you the drain guy? Anyway good luck on your new system.
Going to do this to my thank you.
Do you have to use a large tank or can you use a smaller propane tank??
main video starts at 2:14 thank me later
Hi Would you like to test propane refill hose with adapter ?
been nice if you listed where you got the hoase.
They sell them at Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon and some at Tractor Supply.
Is it safe to use that hose without a regulator? I bought a hose like that for my Coleman but I’m afraid to use it until I can find a definitive answer if it’s safe like that or not.
Yea that what I wanna kno
I have same question ?
Wow thank you!👍
I love the videos
How did your hands feel after being in those nettles?
Excellent!👏🏼 Thank you 🙏

You turn off the propane in the big tank first. Leave the burner on and let the propane in the hose burn out. Then turn burner off.
post 10 your videos are informative and relaxing
His voice is great

I imagine those 20 gal don't last long running wide open though.
So, you dont need a pressure regulator?
I have same question?
I have seen stainless steel hose online. Is that better to buy than a rubber hose?
Late reply but yes it is better although the rubber seal fails first often
That’s a beesy bee 🐝 not caring at all about you being close
Would it be safe to run a 5lb propane tank with a portable dual fuel single burner with an adapter? Has anyone tried this?
Is a pressure regulator needed when doing this upgrade?
no, that is what the hose screwed into on the grill.
You squeezing out all the juices!!
So there’s no need for a regulator when using a 20 lb tank?
Hes actually screwing it into a regulator.
I thought their was various psi regulators
Can you give the link to buy the me thing? Thank you
call the Links are in the description
Feel like a middle school video and your weeds look great. Might help to clean the grill time to time.
No regulator?
The plant appears poison ivy, gee itchy all over.
Here for the comments

I do that and it's not working
If your grilling i`m fetching the beers lol
Bro! Turn down the heat and don't press them hamburgers down. You're gonna dry them out by doing that
That does save a lil headache
BBQ 101: NEVER mash your meats on a bbq. You're only pushing all the flavorful juices out. smdh

This was grAte.
Heeeeyyyyy
"I know under my grill is dirty BUY I dont care" DUH..........
man! clean your stove, dont open all the way on the gas tank
thanks for the video BUT...not sure I can trust a man that squeezes all the flavor out of his burgers😪
Do a face reveal
