ഇൻക്യുസിഷൻ എന്നാൽ ശിക്ഷിയ്ക്കൽ അല്ല , ആ കാലം വരെ ക്രിസ്തുമതത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് നിർബന്ധിത മത പരിവർത്തനം (പാപിയാക്കൽ )നടന്നിരുന്നു , അതിന് വിസമ്മതിയ്ക്കുന്നവരെ ഇൻക്യുസിഷൻ കോടതികളിൽ വിചാരണ നടത്തി പ്രാകൃതമായി നിന്നിരുന്നു . കണ്ണ് കുത്തിപ്പൊട്ടിച്ചും, മനുഷ്യന്റെ തൊലിപൊളിച്ചും , തീയിൽ കെട്ടിത്തൂക്കിയും മറ്റും. ലോകം ഒട്ടാകെ ഇത്തരം പരിപാടി പോപ്പിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ നടന്നിരുന്നു . ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഗോവയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു ശിക്ഷ നടത്തിയിരുന്നത് . അന്ന് പോർച്ചുഗീസ് പാതിരിമാർ അറുപതിനായിരം ഹിന്ദുക്കളെയാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ കൊന്ന് തള്ളിയത്, ബാക്കിയുള്ളവർ നാട് വിട്ടുപോയി . പലർക്കും ഭാര്യമാരെ നഷ്ട്ടപ്പെട്ടു . കേരളത്തിൽ ഇന്ന് കാണുന്ന കൊങ്ങിണി സമുദായക്കാർ ഗോവയിൽ നിന്നും അങ്ങനെ ഓടിപ്പോന്നവരാണ് . പത്തൊൻപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ട് വരെ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ക്രിസ്തുമതം ലോകത്തിന് മേൽ കെട്ടി വയ്ക്കുന്ന പരിപാടി തുടർന്നുപോന്നു. അറബികളുടെ അടുത്ത് മാത്രം പാതിരിമാരുടെ മെക്കിട്ട് കേറ്റം ചെലവായില്ല . ചെന്ന പാതിരിമാരെ അറ്റം ചെത്തി ഇസ്ലാമാക്കി . അതുകൊണ്ട് മധ്യപൂർവ്വദേശത്ത് ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികൾ ഇല്ലാതെ പോയി .
