I've just started working on this song with my band, and until yesterday I was playing a 4-string bass, and we tuned down a half step. The fill was a little challenging on the 4-string, but yesterday I got a 5-string, and I just sat down to learn the fill on the 5s, and wow. It's much more challenging. I'm so glad I found this video! Many thanks for breaking it down, and for the exercises!
Out of all the vids I looked at, yours is the best by far, no one slowed it down it down like you did, and explained it properly, Ive tried slowing it down but could quite make out the notes. THANKYOU!

I get that you're using the fill as a basis for exercises. But why don't you teach it In E first, since almost any local gig player does it so??! Then it can be played in a low register and sounds right. Now I've learned it from you by transposing, ta, but could have been helped quickly, then I'd move on and you teach the beginners.

Because I was counting on capable bassists like you to be quickly able to transpose it up or down to whatever key their singer needs it in.
