Fractured 2 bones in each knee and Orthopaedic doc said my PCL was damaged as well. Been 2 months since the accident and barely found out. I'm going to start working on it today.

Hello. I used the leg curl machine with heavy weight and every time the leg was stretched, the weight made the stretch even more intense, probably causing damage to my pcl. Then, I started feeling pain every time I did that and finally I feel like having a painful PCL injury and it hurts after running, hitting the back of my foot somewhere, sitting on crossed legs etc. A doctor said it hasn't got to be a tear, but 2 months after and it hasn't heal at all. Is it really a PCL injury? Can I run long distances for my academy?

@@valentinbeaujean7888 I went for intensive physiotherapy for 8 weeks. Go seek professional help. Strengthening is a long road and requires a lot of discipline. I can run now and i have returned to basketball. Climbing stairs still hurt but I understand it’s just about strengthening other parts of the knee to compensate.

    • @adarshraj8256

Get an MRI done, and correlate clinically. Try to get appointment to a surgeon, they'll be better to have a look at your joint. I paid a visit to a Surgeon, and he recommended surgery to get back to sports and weightlifting to reconstruct my torn ACL and PCL. Get it done asap as you'll begin your rehab soon. I got it done 2 weeks ago.

@@Ironman-BB yes I had surgery for both ACL and PCL. Strength can be regained over time. You'll have to have patience. If it's just an Acl, recovery is quicker. It's been 3 months since my surgery and I'm gradually getting flexion and strength back.

I haven't checked it since I knew my PCL was injured.
I used to be able to run 23km after I hurt my leg about 1 year later, but I can only run 3km now, after 3km, the back side of my knee feels hurt, maybe it was caused by my bad running technique or I just run too less, because I have switched my exercise to weight training.
By the way, I don't feel anything when I squat or deadlift 2x body weight.

      Hi Julian
      Grateful for kind reply back.
Almost a month back accidentally fell on ground n landed on my knee that impact injured my PCL.
MRI Scan report says it’s a partial tear. Now Orthopaedic says no need for surgery n also advised me to walk few steps daily. I do walk carefully n don’t feel any pain while walking.
I need to know that would I be able to walk in a normal way as I used to walk before PCL injury. How much PCL tear takes to heal naturally?

brian fisher I’m not a physio therapist, but I have done 6 years of dedicated studies including long sleepless nights of extensive research covering body composition, biomechanics, biochemistry and sports medicine with MBA from The Global Networking Database with specialization in Internet research on platforms such as TH-cam and Reddit fields. So in my complete layman’s knowledge I’d recommend you progress by these steps:
Pre 1. Think am I seriously enough about my rehab that I’m willing to make some sacrifices to my life( I.e Money for physio therapist and 2/3 physicals with a physician you can honestly trust (depending on where you life ehh) and in your diet if you want the best recovery possible.
Pre 2. Go get get a full physical with that great doctor, who LOVES that show you like, has a really sweet-looking family, they’re on his lock screen, but you only saw it when when he was showing you his gaming PC and 1969 Dodge Swinger, and totally talks about his son’s basketball team(SERIOUSLY great, amiable doctors make a world difference. Don’t get too close, it’s just theirs jobs but a ton care a lot and ps...it’s easier to notice little things in a friend or good acquaintances.
      3. Swimming and exercises are your best friend whenever you want great low impact cardio, and strength work, great muscle activation in regard to amount and which muscles are being worked. (3 weeks) Taking as long between sets as you need to have good form at all times. Try to do a seated-positions hold for 1 minute repetitions , for 3 set. Next do 8 reps of slow squats with your knees never passing an L shape, 3 sets of those. !!!!!ALL IN WAIST DEEP WATER!!!!! Then go to chest deep and try to not to violently tread water for 15 seconds at a time. Don’t exert too much pressure on your knees or shoulder when doing this.
      4. Stretching and yoga will literally have you FEELING great and doing things that you will be surprised to hear people compliment you on. Yoga and stretching in general give you great joint mobility, mental health, gives you time in your mind dedicated torelax and think if you so choose)
      5. Diets are a tough thing though so do what you gotta do. I just possibly 🤞🏽ruptured my PCL after tearing it two month ago playing basketball. I didn’t go get an X-ray, I don’t do rehab (besides one workout with my trainer where I was shown and did a few great recovery workouts and felt much better after that, but as I am I stopped doing any rehab, continued my pace at work a few weeks later. 2 months went by, and by then I’d had 3-4 light shooting sessions and a few hours dribbling sessions. So I was feeling pretty good, thought if rehab would always flash in my mind. But whatever I’d start it later....till boom yesterday, at work I leaned down to my (previously but recovery)injured knee to pick some trash. I felt a pop, hit the deck, felt no pain but stood up as walked to the dumpster on my wobbly knee and knew right then and there, I’d just popped it. The burning on my thigh and calf began again as it did the first time. Yadda yadda yadda. This is really a guideline to myself the end of this. I might not even post it but either way, it’s a guideline)
Okay you made it this far so I guess you are serious about this if you read through all these THC recollected tidbits.
Vegan foods I hear are fantastic for restorative health, don’t got to go full out but supplementing it, Indian food is the best vegan food no doubt. Ate at a buffet and stuffed myself full before my mom told me it was all vegan....NO MEAT. Thai vegan food, Chinese vegan food, Caribbean foods as well are tremendous in variety and flavours( the fish in these cuisines are delicious and good for general health, not vegan but not red meat 🤷🏽‍♂️,
