This is my "Little blue" montero. it's a 1984 Gen 1 SWB that i picked up 4 years ago for $700. We love this thing! Hope you enjoy this build breakdown.
You can still slap an Android head unit on your center console. But that means you have to modify it abit to make it look good.I did that to mine.Wish i can share photos
Have two MK2 Shoguns/Pajero/Montero's. One is a 12v V6 auto and the other is a 24v V6 manual both SWB and awesome fun especially in the snow. Always wanted a MK1 as they have that square look that I like.
I love mine, such cool little trucks, easy to work on and looks like a small defender. I’ve been thinking of putting on some poly bushings in the rear leaf springs, but I have no ideas which ones to use. Any recommendations?
Man. Sharp short wheel base. I almost went with a Suzuki Sami tin top. Maybe yank out back seats and rebuild wolfer box and reconfigure rear storage area completely ?
@@montanamontero You don't have to do this, but it would really help me if you took a few pictures of how it is set up. I'm having issues with mine, and I believe you have the correct set-up. Thank you. and by the way you are so lucky you have the metal grill they are so difficult to find here in Georgia.
I dayli drive an MK2 1995, no AC, slow, yet reliable, fun and super cool, I have enjoyed it very much indeed.
That's a cool rims. Gonna search for those when i finish restoration of my MK1.
Amazing bro. Great video. Love the monteros and watching your videos and IG info has been helpful.

in addition to the metal grille, you have the rear "bumperettes" - there's a real following among the OG Crew for that, too.
yeah pretty impressed that they have survived this long

I have an 87 Dodge Raider super off road.
Up to what year did Mitsubshi make these short wheel base monteros?
Got a link to that CB? Exactly what I'm looking for

@@montanamontero Thx Man!
NEED MORE OF LITTLE BLUE ON THIS CHANNEL!
You stated this would be the hardest one to let go of…. How much would it take? I’m very interested!
haha everything has a price is suppose, but really, this one isn't for sale
Can you do a video of your fuel carb. Hookup. I see you have eliminated the secondary valve and I would like to do the same.
I actually don't know a ton about the carb set up. it came that way when i got it and it runs flawlessly so i haven't touched it

Which brand are the sliders?
I made them myself from scratch!
I need that 3d printed tray
my buddy made it up for me. i thought about making more, but idk if there is really a market for it haha
I think it would be cool if someone went all out and built a poor man's G-Wagon out of one of these.
i agree!
Can tow a small car with a tolly with it ?
very slowly, but yes
Looks like a small bronco.
it's true! pretty fun
