Installed, working and running! Thanks. Boy is it snug next to that controller or what? My throttle for new controller came damaged... So that whole unit is goin back... It'll be a few weeks before I receive the new one and get a crack at installing it...

The recommended battery comes with its own charger and needs to be charged separately.
Got my battery stolen for this model is there another battery I can use that you can recommend that I can just plug-in and be able to ride again
Nice but i really want another 5mph top speed.
It’s really cool how you did this, but unfortunately, you lose your brake lights when you put this case over them! I would probably strap the battery to the frame in the front where it splits in half and folds. I think that would be much better, because then you get your red light on the back where people can see you visibly at night time much much safer! Thank you for making the video, it’s very handy for putting on the extra battery!
Will this place your two batteries in parallel and how does it work if there are two different Amp Hours batteries? How does the charging circuit work with two batteries? Same charger? Are you able to charge both batteries at the same time using the factory charging port and charger? Thank you for the video.
Batteries can be different amp hours but should be the same rated voltage for the parallel connection.
The batteries will need to be charged independently.
Is there a splitter you could add to that charging cable to make it charge both batteries when plugged in?
For safety reasons this hasn’t been pursued by us, but yes, there are versions on the market that do this.;
Ok im back... Few things... Im noticing that my battery light indicator will flash between batteries? Im guessing it reads one discharging then switches 2 other. Also it may appear that one battery appears to discharge while the other is completely full while other is indicating 3 lightsand 2. However, with all that said im not losing power. That baby is moving and not slowing down... Any tips?
Test them to make sure both batteries are discharging independently…ride the bike with one then the other

When I clicked on the link for the battery it gave options for more watts and volts. Can that be used if so will that cause the bike to go faster? Also, if the kit shows as being sold out. When will they be available and how will I know so I can purchase it?

You will want to match your system voltage. You can use any amp hour battery you want.
The kits should be available in the next couple of weeks so be on the lookout. Also, the link provided for our kit on Amazon will work with the Haze.
In case my battery ever dies i wanted to find a way how to attach a battery separately like this. Would this work only with the one battery and not using the internal? Cool video! Not many haze videos online :)
Yes. You can leave the kit installed and use only one battery.

So... By accident i think i discovered but cant verify how it works ... My haze battery has an off switch. I can literally switch that battery off. It appears my big battery still powers the bike but also acts in a manner 2 balance out or charge battery while switched off... Goin to run some more tests ..
Would suggest unplugging the second battery and checking for function

What does this do for the bike? Increase speed or just distance before battery death?
Distance. Think of like another gas tank

I seen some things on other Jetsons that you could do. But not the haze just curious if the haze could reach a lil higher speeds with upgrades ?

How much faster does it go and does it last longer
The speed is the same (15mph)
The range more than doubles with the suggested upgrade.
I need speed too go to 30 mph plz is it gonna work with this ?
Batteries will only add more range unfortunately

How much range do you get from the second battery
10Ah * 48V = 480Wh
480Wh / (25Wh/mi) = 19.2 miles

Just opened a brand new Haze from Costco and it doesn't work.
Customer Service is just an AI chatbot on their website, and can't find any info on what the 5 pins on the battery are, so I can test if it's a bad battery pack or something on the bike side. Anyone know the correct procedure to open up the battery? Is it just the 2 screws, or is it glued together?
I hate to return to Costco, as I'd like to give Jetson a chance to make it work...but their Chatbot is a huge waste of time.
My biggest concern is how 2 gauge second battery level... please respond.
A battery meter gauges voltage. The combined batteries will output the balanced voltage and be viewed as a single battery (this obviously will not work the same if you hookup a charged battery and a depleted battery, but it is safe to do so)
@@ElectricAllWheel as far as everyday usage? I'm looking to order a 48v 100ah but it says 500 w? xt60 cable w bms 2a charger.. my concerns are the 500w rating. N KNOWING battery level after every ride or when I ride as I only ride now about 2-3 times a week. With that battery I'd ride everyday.... please respond.
@@thegntlemn1986 the 500W designation is likely related to the current limit of the battery for a motor rating (500W). Meaning, this battery is good up to a motor rating of 500W. The Ah is just the capacity. You could add 100000000Ah if you have the money. (Likely not because of weight, but the principle is the same)

Seems weird with removable battery that one does not simply buy a second battery (and swap it) ?? It only takes 20s!
Many riders do not wish to stop, unfold the bike, key out the battery, and replace it. Moreover, dual battery will sustain high voltage output for a longer duration of the ride
