Making a Custom Anubis Helmet

- Thought I would design a Anubis Helmet based off of various sources, hieroglyphics, movies, tv shows, video games, etc. I put my own spin on it and thinks it turned out pretty cool. For this build I used 6 mm, 4 mm, and 2 mm EVA, 24 and 18 mm EVA Dowels, tinted visors, contact cement, super glue, Plasti Dip, and some Plaid FX acrylic paints. You may also need the following tools: heat gun, a Dremel with various bits, wood burner and xacto knife or box cutter. Was that the one were they were in a time loop, kind of like Ground Hogs day. It was a pretty good one.

Anubis is my favorite Egyptian idol.
When I was in high school I made a King Tut Mask out of clay that was pretty epic. Unfortunately it did not stand the test of time and multiple moves. There are lots of cool Egyptian things I would mind attempting.

Currently trying to make this bad boy with litterally no arts and crafts talent what so ever for my kids egyptian week at school 🤣🤦♀️ (costume parade later I the week) thank you for sharing the template for FREE. Mine will be nowhere as talented as yours. Can only get hot glue and foam boards from my local stores, so mine looks rather box shaped but im rather proud of my attempts so far.

This is an amazing design.I'm reworking on my cyrax helmet now but I would like to try something like this in the future.

Great job as always, maybe you could make a "Corinthian Helmet".
It's kind of similar to a spartan helmet, just without the plume. I actually have a metal one that a friend gave me a while back that is pretty cool.

they only had gold and lapis lazuli to work with not EVA foam.👍

Have you ever done a Bastet mask? I love your Anubis and my wife wants to make a Bastet but can't find a good source that matches up to your quality. This will be our first attempt at "cosplay level" costume making. Thank you for making this pattern free!

I was wandering - that mask you did earlier the Spiderman, Majora, Cyberpunk - could you maybe try and make one of those with like a wolf/beast kind of idea? teeth and snout :D - been trying my self for a few days now but I need ur epic skills to show me how :D
I like the suggestion. I've made a few animal type masks in the past that could probably be modified into a menpo style mask. Have you looked at my Master Key mask. It is a tiger mask from Fortnite that you could just not do the upper part for.

Thanks. Glad the Mk 1 template could help you out. I have never really been into Slipknot, but they do have some super creepy masks. Most look like they are latex, which I have no experience with but a couple look like spin offs of some classics. I'll take a look at the least.

All my templates are taped to a standard 8.5 X 11 sheet of printer copy paper

I'm questioning the choice of the Wadjet and the Ankh, with the Wadjet (What he used for the Eyes, also called the Eye of Horus) being a symbol for protection making more sense than the Ankh, being the word and Hieroglyph for life it seems a little out of place on a God of the Dead and Mummification, other than that it looks amazing!
I looked at a bunch of references and just made decisions based on how it looked and fit within the helmet. I didn't look into the deeper symbolism of it. It is by no means a historical piece, just having fun with design.
The gold and blue makes it stand out a lot! Do you mind if I suggest any DOOM props?
I really do like that color combination. I mean my channel is logo is blue and yellow. Suggest away, I am always looking for cool ideas. I don't really get to play a lot of video games, so it helps to have others who can keep me up with all that is out there. I was kind of eyeing some of those keys in the newest Doom but couldn't find any good screen shots.
Which type of keys are you looking for? There’s a variety of the keys in the game. Maybe I can find some references and send it to you on your insta?

Can i ask what app you use for making your videos? I got a new computer and I'm trying to find the best one for special effects on photos and videos.
I use an editing software called Wondershare Filmora. It is a year subscription and you have to pay a little extra to get access to some of their special effects like I use in my videos. But I love it. I think you can try it for free and I think they even have a mobile app too.

@@MuchProps The "Staff Weapon" might fit with your style of props for the channel. Unless you want to build a teeny tiny StarGate or MALP the rest is either pretty Generic Military gear or extremely ostentatious Egyptian-esk Armor. O.o They didn't do themselves any favors with Brand Recognition, but then again it IS supposed to be a SECRET fight to defend the Earth. O.o
