We need those small EVs NOW. VW e-up is not produced / not sold anymore. EV-incentives will only be 3.000€ in Germany in 2024 and completly end after 2025.
I would DEFINITELY by the Casper!!! I have waited a long time for an EV this size that has this sort of range for an affordable price ('affordable' depends on who you ask - for me it means around £20k). Excellent video as usual. Keep up the great work!
Here in the states 🤔 we need some city cars (EV) 😍 I love a small vehicle 🚗 and I know I’m not alone 😃 big vehicles are so yesterday 😒 if need or want one ☝🏾 that’s fine 😉 we need more choices 😆
If you notice most people are driving more car than they need. Smaller cars make sense, most just think they need more for various reasons. I shouldn't need to state the obvious. Who ever got taught to save? I live in a debt based part of the world. I love my EV, .022 cents per mile to operate over the first year.
I live just out of a major city. I occasionally need a range of 250k. Otherwise the longest regular trip I make is approximately 52k. This car would be ideal
@@OlJackBurton I'm sure range is important everywhere. I live 250ks from the state capitol and about 180ks from next big city. 300 k range wud be acceptable for me.
That's too bad... but you guys get awesome cars from both Europe and N. America, which is so cool. I think Australia is the only place where you can get both the Veloster and the i30 (well, at least until recently...), as well as the Elantra (i30 sedan)!
Wish Hyundai Casper would be brought to the USA market soon we need a affordable versatile small suv like the casper. Hyundai innovative Casper hits allot of check boxes and the 3 Cyl engine and light chassis weight makes sense even in the USA market. The versatile seat function folding features for camping is awesome. I am not sure why Hyundai isn't selling this model in the USA market.
Of course I would consider it. Everything is a consideration. Comes down to what you get for the $$$$. If it is actually 181hp with 0-60 in 6.5sec for $20,000 I would most likely buy it.
I don't usually comment because it means finding the video on the iPad app and I usually watch TH-cam on either my Amazon Fire Stick on my living room TV or on the app on my bedroom TV, which is a Toshiba. However, I really wanted to comment on the Casper EV because it is quite simply the car I'm looking for. I live in a city, Bristol, and I have an absurdly narrow garage with nowhere else to park. If the dimensions you mentioned are correct, it's slightly narrower than my current car, a 19-year-old Hyundai Getz, and that fits in the garage. Remote control parking would make it extremely easy to put in the garage. Assuming that it comes to the UK in the first half of 2024, the timescale is about right too. I need my current car to last about 2 years for financial reasons. However, please make the wing mirrors better than the ones on the Getz!
I'm in California, I have a 2013 Fiat 500e and I really like my car, But the 500e is no longer valuable here in the US, if the Hyundai Casper is valuable here, I would get one.
Perfect for me, and for many of my friends. We seldom drive long distances, have little interest in speed, and don't want large, hard to park vehicles. And it IS cute, probably fun to drive.
This is more like it! Nothing fancy. Best value for money. An EV equivalent of our 12 year old 300 k kia rio. We will run the rio until we see its equal here in Canada. It has been a car with no vices.
I would love this car! My theory is that partially the chip shortage is to blame on why we don't have more EVs in the USA but also lobbyists from big oil companies spending money buying out politicians who then dont do anything to try and better things by switching to EVs.
Y. Like the blue/black/red rendering. Gas in Toronto is currently $1.80 CA/L. Can it handle summer heat & traffic? As well as heavy, slushy winter days.
Bring it to US. I m waiting to buy this now. Why US is behind implementing such much needed BEVs. This one is perfect for city car. 100 miles on one overnight charge at home is sufficient.
Awesome content as always. I would love to see a video of your analysis of Hyundai and Kia's EV roadmaps. What models you think will be released each year, prices, etc.
I would buy one. Everyone is screaming for cheap small EV's, but all the manufacturers have deaf ears. They churn out one monster, space guzzling SUV after another, with prices that no normal carbuyer can afford. If it keeps going on like this, then EV's are only going to be something for the rich...

NO but I know people that would go for it.

Hyundai, bring it to Canada. We need small ev cars, the Casper looks great, it would be a perfect replacement for my Spark

Please Hyundai, bring this great (small)Car to germany , we really need it so much!

With nowadays shortage the new car you order today should be ready for delivery by 2059
Yes! Kasper Ev! We are looking forward!
Would definitely buy right away. Fills a big hole in the market!

Don't forget the Dacia Spring that's available in Netherlands at least for less that 20.000.
YES I would consider buying the Casper.
Would buy in a heartbeat💓 if it was available in the U.S. Just don't understand why small EV manufacturers skip us.
In their mind. Americans are big and tall so this car is too small for them.
Yes, I would consider buying a Casper. But it won't be available in Australia.
Australia only gets expensive, large SUVs and pick-up trucks.

Actually the price of the e-Up! increased to 26,900.
And again is sold out / can't be ordered anymore.
hell yeah i would buy a 20k small commuter daily driver EV!

I would certainly buy one in the UK if I could fit my mobility scooter behind the rear seats.
Willing to buy in North America? YES. Please offer us a sunroof as well. 🙂
Hyundai would be crazy not to introduce the Caspar to the US especially in the city areas...
Because microcars and mini subcompacts/city cars (Yugo, Smart, Fiat 500) have done so well in the US?
@@OlJackBurton good point...
Where we can find this car?? In which countries does this car available?
I wouldn't buy it because I want a minimum of 250-300 miles in an EV, but I think there is a market for small EVs as city cars.
I’d absolutely buy the Casper. The smaller the better. Bob Campbell

Nailed it.

Awesome affordable metro option.
Casper, the friendly EV...
yes, I would by such a Casper!! 👍
Yep I will think to get it at this price..or a i10 electric with 200-300km, a small good car for the town at low price it's what the ppl need ..
Actually the incentives are $7000 in Sweden 🇸🇪
definitely would be on my radar!

This could be the most affordable EV in the world.
May be
The intensives will be reduced in Germany likely.
Super cute ☺️
I think Hyundai need to concentrate on clearing the back orders for their current EV’s before even thinking about make any more models.
Yes, that would only make sense...
like the "n" version sketch :)
Isn't it so cool? Sort of reminds me of the Renault 5 Turbo of the good old time!
Bring it to the USA
What's in it for Bobby Casper; himsel;;; ? HE NOT EVER BEEN CONTACTED FOR THE WHOLE lineup of cars that were introduced in his name and likeness.
I guess he won't be financially rewarded but at least his name will be remembered by a wider audience than before...
I like and own smart fortwo. Will only buy a 3 door ev .
