8k is not even truly real in the gaming market, its all a scam for now and is more noticeable on really big screens (which is also hard to notice compared to 4k). Not even 4k is standard, most use 1080p then 1440p. But interesting video for sure. Just a funfact: the jump from 1080p (Full HD) to 1440p (some call it 2k, but it's false, more precise would be WQHD) is like a 70% increase in resolutionquality, the jump from 1440p to 4k is around 30% or less. 4k to 8k would be WAY less, the potential is there but it needs refinement.

I remember buying oblivion for the Xbox 360 and at first regretted it for some reason. But I gave it a try and man I got so invested. Had so much fun playing it. Good ole days. This looks amazing brother!
Same here i took ghost recon to the shops one day and took a punt on a game i knew nothing about, several 100 hours later oblivion had me hooked! So many great memories from the 360 era 🤘
Same here I bought Oblivion for the 360 at Kmart before it went out of business. Played about 20 minutes of it gave up one year later I decided to give it another try (honestly don't remember why) after that I got so hooked it's became my all time favorite game and I still play it today in 2024

Awesome dude. Did you tweak anything in-game with the reshade menu or in the Oblivion Reloaded menu ? I find enabling HDR makes it look not as washed out. And one last thing, how can I make night time and interiors darker. They are way too bright with this setup *Edit: The adaptive tone mapper is the culprit. It only makes day time exterior settings great. Interiors become weird and nights become ridiculously bright. With this installed on top of The Heartlands list

Looks impressive. Although personally I really like the painterly look of the original game and the only thing I do to improve graphics a bit is turning on anisotropic texture filtering and screen space ambient occlusion via the Nvidia Control Panel.

Man....my first and favorite Elder Scrolls. Only issue I had with this game, was that it had next to zero population density lol. That's literally the only immersion it was missing. Because skyrim came with it, and made it perfect.

you should reduce the Z thickness of the rtgi shader i set it to 20 usualy. this will remove the dark halo around characters legs.
I know I'm using it since years, actually it is set to 0.50 normally, and I do use 0.14.
This will always be my favorite elder scrolls game. Would love so much for it to get the Skyrim treatment

rtx will not be make complete of reality. there is 32 bit color depth that not included in games and 32 bit color displays.

I liked Morrowind, hated Oblivion, and loved skyrim. Oblivions combat felt awful even compared to Morrowind (One you level up in morrowind) because the enemies were so ridiculously spongy on normal. Also the quest felt more tedious.

Skyblivion is not going to come out before TES6. And at that point Creation Kit 2 will be better for devs and new guys will be making Oblivion remaster.

the voice acting was one of the lowest points of oblivion IMO. loved the voice acting in morrowind. va in skyrim was good too. oblivion kind of dropped the ball in that court
