I was using FMT for more than 1 month - it was borrowed - kinda MVP projector if you are not playing games. I`ve bought PJ92 - and if you can make 100% light controlled environment - this is it :) best value for money. It has some advantages in terms of quality, black levels vs FMT, has some disadvantages like operating noise, some audio processing settings that can or can`t work with your streaming device and sound system ect. FMT had other issues as well - there is no perfect solution right now. All things tech has made good comparison, not sure what type of screen has been used but it`s also very important - Nexigo will run perfectly with frensel screen while Avol might looks too bright. Another key takeaway is that when both projectors were tested at the same time, light around the room was pretty bright - that was killing shadow details. - it`s hard to catch it on video, but if you were sitting there - it would be obvious.
Contrast is king and Nexigo by measurements has it considerably higher. Considering price difference I would not go for AWOL. Wish either awol would improve on contrast or Nexigo on brightness.
if everything stayed the same on the Nexigo and we had 3500 ansi lumens it would've been the top option for a while. That would've been so great. There's a small chance the new U.S. Hisense PX3-Pro is taking that challenge on.
Unfortunately, my long throw Epson 3800 is still going strong but you better believe once it goes out I'm replacing it with an AWOL Vision 3500 or similar variant. I researched the pros/cons and the cons are not enough of a dealbreaker compared to other Ultra Short Throw projectors out there when it comes to the AWOL projectors. Might even go with that new Fresnel screen they have....I just don't like the loss in image brightness when you move to the sides of the image. Regardless, great video! Thanks for the comparo!
Here is AWOL’s 3000 pro projecting at a Drive in movie with a 500” diagonal image! It’s the lens that separates the two. Starts around 5:10 in video. th-cam.com/video/Ha1hFOarb30/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VbQjqp8lIZ_HHr7Z
@jdx4174. I recently purchased the Awol specifically for its 3D and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. The image is very dark, dull and lacking in color. I'm a huge 3D fan and was really looking forward to this feature. I am obviously very disappointed. Compared to my last 3D TV, a Sony Bravia, it doesn't come close.
We purchase the 3000 version during Amazon Prime week which had a set 700.00 coupon and we plan on getting the screen during Black Friday the 120 inch Auto retractable
@GodhasChooseMe I would honestly say it's as good as a budget. 4K TV and it's very bright and the luminance compared to nits I would say is also comparable to your average LED 4K TV. I think it's actually about 800 nits
Was going to go for the Aurora until I realized you need a perfectly (and I mean PERFECTLY) flat screen/surface with a UST. So I will stay with long throw, my screen is..very DIY, lol.
Yes, with all the USTs they are very unforgiving if the screen isn’t perfectly flat. It does add to the cost but having the ALR means they are so much brighter in ambient lighting
I use the hisense px3 and am very satisfied with the picture quality. Perhaps you should also compare this device with the others. The contrast of the px3 could even be better than that of awol and nexigo.
@@tobi9 I haven't calibrated my px3 yet and I don't feel it's necessary because the picture already looks very good with the right settings. However, I have read that a calibrated px3 is about as bright as an uncalibrated px2. I think that's ok!
Given the AWOL 3500 is much more expensive, I'd say the Nexigo more than holds it own. Sure if you want to pay a lot more you'll get more brightness, but it looks like the Nexigo has better black levels to be honest.
You mean the company that was just sued to lower their Lumens from 2800 to 1800 Lumens. Turn the lights on and the picture disapears, just like the brand .
I am new to this whole thing and trying to build a dedicated home theatre with controlled light setup but after alot of research and your videos help , came to conclusion that Nexigo Aurora Pro is best in terms for dark room but overall Awol vision LTV 3500 Pro is best can you suggest between these as I'm gonna imprort one of these to India and for 150 inch Grey Alr 3d 4k screen and aslo gonna run a professional calibration plz help
Where do you see the better contrast in this video? What minute marker? AWOL 3500 is in a different class. Nexigo is a remake of the failed VAVA fiasco.
Nexigo all the way. Maybe it's exposition, but in most cases AWOL looks washed out in comparison to vivid colors from Nexigo. At least on my tv (OLED LG in Filmmaker mode)
Not sure if it’s the camera but the AWOL looks much better while you are playing content. HDR is so much more important to come across as a great viewing experience as most projectors get really dim as shown in the Nexigo and AWOL holds its brilliance in any definition. Seems as though Nexigo tried to copy AWOL in every aspect but fell short on the most important feature, HDR, Dolby Vision and HDR 10+, that alone is worth the extra $$. Save the Money on the Nexigo if you want to watch just SDR content and be washed out in a bright room.
Why are you comparing these two? Nexigo isn’t even in the same class. Hardly viewable with lights on as shown in video and the loss in detail in the corners shows the inferior lens. Awol 3500 does everything top notch, Nexigo is a copy cat that falls short, even their website and ad material copies AWOL’s to a tee
I have used both, but NexiGo stands out with its superior quality and excellent sound system.
The best comparative video in TH-cam, Nexigo Win
Thanks for all Your pro level videos, your voice is the most pleasant to listen out of all here on TH-cam 😊

I ordered this and it arrived this morning - just in time for the Olympics. I've also got an Apple Watch to measure my heart rate. 😎 🖋
Very nice!
We heard your favorite part of the Olympics was ray gun
The Nexigo colors look nicer. The Awol looks more blown out
Can you share what the demo video is around 5:36? Would like to run that, too.
Great vid! Would you say the AWOL Vision 3000 vs NEXIGO is a valid comparison, or would the NEXIGO be the clear favourite in that case?
@@StainFree I’d go nexigo over the 3000

@@jaychannel8558 Only premium lens can reproduce the sharpness in giant size image. The 100 inch is too small for awol.
Any chance of comparing the xgimi aura 2 to the Nexigo Aurora Pro?
I had a nexigo here and it has much sharpness issues in the corners
What do you think about the comparison between Formovie Theatre and AWOL 3500 Pro? Is it worth to upgrade from FMT to the 3500 pro?
What about the 3D capabilities?
Both great

You can’t watch it with any lights on it was washed out in the video and HDR sucks on the Nexigo. It’s a good choice for 1080p content.

In a perfectly dark room, they are close. If budget an issue go with Nexigo, if not AWOL.
