Best club I ever made was a painting club. My sim never had to work. As long as you’re on your home lot you can sell paintings other sims make. Eventually club members got so skilled they were painting masterpieces all the time.
But is there anything to improve the chances of getting masterpieces? The husband of my main Sim is a painter and always makes excellent paintings and very rarely masterpieces. He’s always very inspired (and all needs on green when I start painting ) and has his painting maxed. So how do clubs or anything else increase the chance of masterpieces?
Wildaly I don’t know what would increase the chances, I just made the club and it lasted so long that all members skills increased. They all got skilled and made excellent or masterpieces. Masterpieces weren’t guaranteed and didn’t happen all the time.
@@thewildaly There's a perk you can buy to boost the chance of masterpieces! It's for writers and painters. I forget what it's called but it's not too expensive. Might be 2000 points? I bought it for a writer and almost all of his books became bestsellers after that. :D I had him write a screenplay called Handbook for Immortals, forgot I had that perk, and he got a bestseller. I wanted to keep it for the summary (it's about how to be a vampire and cheat your way onto the bestseller list without drawing attention to yourself) so I had him write a second one with the same name and low and behold it was also a bestseller. Tickled to bits, I had him publish the one without a summary and kept the other one. Really, I just need to get that mod where you can buy the books that you've published. It's so stupid that your Sims can't have a copy if they publish it. lol but anyway thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Wildaly 😆 I just meant that having that many sims with high skill painting at once got me one masterpiece at almost every meeting or every other meeting.
I have been able to max out a skill in about 10 hours with my crazy stacked super sim. He has both Gift of Sulani and is a child of Father Winter, plus all the bonuses from childhood, and by now he has completed almost all aspirations and has all of the reward perks. He is also a 5* celebrity and a master spellcaster. It's really not very much fun to play him anymore, in a sense that it's the least challenging thing possible, but I also kinda enjoy how stupidly stacked he is. At some point I'm gonna make him have a child, and will try to turn that one into the most spoiled and evil sim possible.
Give him a trouble-maker dog at the same time and make him a single parent with a toddler while going to university! It'll still be way easier but that'll add some fun plus actively trying to give the kid all of the negative Parenthood traits would be so much fun! :D
Preach about the clubs, dude. Everyone freaking out over tiny living breaking the game and I'm just over here like "clubs already did that", lol. It genuinely bothers me though, because clubs are honestly a really cool mechanic that I wish wasn't so overtuned.
On new skill day my sim went from nothing to 10 fitness in about 5 hours and wasn't even a super sim, just had a micro home. It was scary how fast it went
This. My unskilled/no perk Sim went from 0 to 6 parenting skill in about 12 Sim hours. Incredible…and too overpowered imho. Let’s hope they tweak the perks a little bc jeez.
I wish that the skill gain was only for a micro home. I made fully functional 8-10 bed space tiny homes that I could see myself playing whole games in. But I get bored with micro homes because they're so small. I think if they switched the plant bonus to a tiny home bonus and put the skill gain as micro only that would add a bit more balance
Ooooh, that's an idea. Especially since vampires don't really eat meals; then he can keep the bonus from the gourmet dishes. And becoming a celebrity will be a little bit harder so it might offset the fact it's the lesser of the two systems. :D
Your commentary and editing are top-notch entertainingly hilarious. I love your channel. I come for the helpful information and stay for the comedy. :-)
Even with Tiny Living perks and Club perks, I am still very much enjoying watching you build a super sim going through all of the stages. Something very fulfilling about seeing all of those earned traits on that traits screen. Good tips for cheating the clubs points and, hey, I completely forgot about Leader of the Pack!
Is the goal of this series just to level every skill, or is it also to get every aspiration? If we are going for aspirations, I recommend going for the camping one first, because the last level where you have to spend several nights in a tent is really hard to get if you've already spent points in the Never Wary trait. Love this series!
@@lizburgess4398 Actually for anyone wondering in 2023, you can still do it but it will require patience, some activities drain the bars even with the need removing traits. I guess it's because they are programed to affect those needs and it doesn't account for the reward traits, so you'll have to wait until someone calls you to go do a motive trials as when your sim returns their nedds will have depleted regardless of traits, and so you can doze off. I think angle for big catch when fishing also depletes sleep (albeit slowly) regardless of never wary.
Wow...he got it up FAST! The side by side was great, excellent idea! In the beginning when you named the club, I thought your reasoning was going to be “because we’re gonna bulldoze through the skills”😄 Really liked this one, you’re more relaxed with recording and enjoying yourself than any of your videos I’ve seen.
I enjoyably learned through your lets play so many things to make your sim super. It also helped that you have this captioned as I am deaf. Thank you. The icing on the cake was your quick comparison of a super sim, sim with tiny living and sim with club bonuses. A quick tip If you are starting out with an an adult sim with the good manners trait before the sim does any socialization have him become a leader of his club AND buy the popular club perk with your beginning 100 perk points. When the club meeting is going, all your sims polite introductions give you a relationship boost like the incredibly friendly award trait to almost friends in the beginning.
Loving this! Clubs are hilariously easy to cheese. Once you become a wizard it'll be extra hilarious. With teleporting and Copypasto with Plentiful Needs and Nimble Mind and if needed the emotional boost one you're just a god. In my regular games I avoid Copypasto because it's broken (I know you agree from your entertaining guide on potions) but in my SuperSim game it's been hilariously great. You can even use Copypasto on raw limestone, time capsules, or even the snow globe boxes in City Living, so that you can just keep collecting certain collectibles over and over again at your leisure until you finish a collection for the collector aspiration.
That was an awesome comparison in skill boosts! Thank you for all of the work you put into that. Crazy skill gains the Super Sim has. Now I'm inspired to create a super sim myself. lol
Tiny living and magic potions you could probably whizz through every skill in a couple of days, would tiny living effect how quickly you could turn a baby into a super sim?
Oooh, that's the next step once the current Super Sim gets boring. Make him take care of a toddler in a micro-home and raise it into another Super Sim to see how fast you can get Top-Notch Toddler and the Kid skills, plus parenting them and gaining the 5 traits by forcing the Super Sim to help them out more. I mean, it'll still be a bit boring but doing it for science will help! Also, trying to continue the first Super Sim at the same time will add to the management so it's not as simple as mostly ignoring mom was. ;)
I did this yesterday and had my toddler master all toddler skills in less than a day in a microhome. All skills. Less than a day. How insane is that?? I’d love to watch Carl do this tho.
I love your style of videos Carl! All the little side jokes and comments on the screen crack me up! I love listening to you play because you don’t scream and yell or name your sims annoyingly dumb names! Thank you for simply being the best♥️
Love how Carl obsesses over the awards being even on the shelf, when he made the shelf SO uneven with the bed and the rest of the room :) Also, trying to make impeccable quality on that crap stove LOL
Carl doing Surrealist play-throughs of an already Surrealist game. Out Pythoning Monty Python i.e. the level of ridiculousness of how he's going about this tops what the devs can come up with. "Double skill lot traits? Ha-ha...Hold my beer."
I don´t know if you have done it before, but i could not find a video with this info. I think a lot of people, especially new players would like a lot type guide. What can you do on the different lot types? What kind of NPC will the lot type spawn and what interaction will the townies do on their own? Also if the lot type have any particular buffs. Thanks for a good channel with a lot of fun and useful info.
I think Vampire would add more interest since he'll have to have shelter from the sun! Then again, he won't benefit from the meals as a vampire so a spellcaster would be easiest. Hrmm...
Good video, I really liked the side-by-side comparisons. Still loving your sense of humor in there. Watching you makes me want to try a supersim in S4... but I know once I get upstairs and am sitting at my computer, Stardew Valley will play it’s Siren Song, so I’ll have to ‘play’ vicariously through you and other YTers. :D Though to be fair, even when I do make myself sit down with S4, I get bored before too long unless I’m in CAs or building. I did do a Super Sim in ts3, so maybe I’d enjoy it in S4. I already have a toddler made (initial inspiration when you started this series). I was thinking it would be more challenging (I like to challenge myself in games) if I had to make a sim with both the father winter trait and the Sulani one, and then make that sim the super sim. But I’m not sure I’d ever complete it if I do this. I’ve grown to like the esthetic of S4 (ok, not the more gloppy* of the clay hair) and I really want to enjoy it more, I’m just not sure how to keep my interest while playing. It’s very frustrating. But thanks to YTers like you and comments players leave on videos, I get ideas I can try out at least. * Gloppy being the more technical term for the clarifies hair S4 has that is less defined and kind of looks like a blob that of some goop that fell on their head and they just kind of pushed at it a couple times and then said, ‘eh, whatever, close enough.’
It is incredible. Yes, one can add Quick Learner, Savant, Snaggle Fluster, and the Vampire boost... but... Tiny Living makes it so fast by itself, further bonuses soon become irrelevant because skilling isn't an obstacle.
I like to have a nice mature garden in place, on a lot with a house that maxes out the Mansion aspiration. When my sim becomes a teen, I hit the Mansion aspiration right off the top, switch to wealthy which I can get pretty quickly by selling produce (gotta love a dozen perfect money trees). Once wealthy is complete. I round off with the Botanist aspiration. I can hit all three of these in the teen's first week. Between these, and the aspiration points from all four child aspirations, I usually have enough to buy Never Weary and Always Full. Its a great way to rank up a Sim and get them prepped for college.
Nice comparison at the end, was a good visual way of showing just how big a difference there was between the three. More of those if a suitable situation should arise! :)
This series made me want to actually play TS4, no joke. I mostly make pretty sims and that's it, there's actually so much stuff in it I wasn't aware of
Club doing every day activities, good practice first run for gameplay experience. 😸 I have every pack from original base game v1 to eco living on preorder and it’s in TS4 that I’ve taken the longest to explore the full features of it compared to 1, 2, & 3, I also love attempting challenges too (with and without cheats and mods).
A super easy way to increase emotional control, especially if you only need a little bit to max it out, and reduce the time for negative moodlets is to write in a journal.
there is also a spellcaster potion that adds skillgains. I'm fairly sure non spellcasters can drink it. So vampire supersim in a club on a tiny home with a potion. At that point you can just cheat everything to 10.
Love your guides Carl, always waiting for the next installment. It's never a wise idea to jog to clear mind just before a party. Do you know you can can gain emotional control writing in your journal? Kids gain creative, and teens gain writing skill. Also in my micro home today my kid gained level 4 violin and was able to play 4 different types of song. Also play with emotion popped up! Crazy skills from a micro home.
No one: Nobody at all: Me: HE DIDN’T INVITE SANTA 😂 Awesome videos Carl! I bet mom gets coal for Christmas every year, that’s what you get when you fight Santa, u get beat by Santa and add insult to injury you get COAL 😂
I still remember when i had my spellcaster sim on vacation in selvadorada and I sent her fishing with no skill and some cereberries, potions of needs, and like 12 sim hours later she was level 10.
Pro Tip: There are LOT traits in build mode that help your Sim gain skills faster depending on which skill you want ^_^ there's traits for everything! You're welcome.
with the painting why not just hold alt and drag it down the wall alittle? :O also looks like you realized how powerful a bunch of strangers in a club doing random household activities is, now just abuse the "rally ability" and "not do do" list and you can pretty much force sims into "voluntary free labor" :D
Talk about Clubs with 5 Club members they can be in different clubs if you dont want more peeps in your club you can join another club talk to 4 members and then leave the club if you want
You have to max out all toddler skills before they age up. It is easier to halt aging or set it to longer life so you have time to do so. Otherwise, if you have 2 sims raising the kid, one has to practically be at home 24/7 to help boost skill gains.
Right, so...you might be getting happy toddler (or something like that), right? You get top notch by maxing potty to level 3 and the rest of the skill to level 5. Technically *all* toddler skills need to be maxed for them to get top-notch toddler upon aging up.
The_Broken Marionette Plays Yes I have it on longer life and aged her up since it would’ve taken ages for her to do it on her own. I guess maybe one of the skills wasn’t maxed.
@@thewildaly It's easier if you take advantage of other options besides the blocks and oddly enough, the tablet. They get tired of blocks quickly and don't tire of the tablet but I think the tablet has perhaps a weaker bonus to skill-building. Actually getting the parents to help and reading to them/teaching them how to dance or having the toddler play with the other toys/playground equipment is better. The upside to the tablet is they're less likely to stop using it autonomously. But yeah, I gave up easily on some of my first few toddlers and then focused on a pair of twins later to find out how the skill gains can vary. Oh! And I think some of the toddler traits can help more. Someone suggested being wild kept them energized and awake but independent allows them to potty faster on their own and being inquisitive lets them boost the toddler mental skill (whatever it's called) quickly by asking "What's that?" And it doesn't involve them bothering another Sim, for whatever reason, so it's better than it sounds, they just puzzle over it.
The only time I had a sim gain crazy skill gains was a mod that added Android traits based on Detriot: Become Human! And that's with no additional traits that give boosts.
James Skifter her too but lauren had to stand there for an hour & eat for an hour . when he said that i knew it was her . Kelsey just cut through periods of time.
cant lie when you don't put candles on a birthday cake right away i get anxiety, to many times a sim has just cut into a brand new cake
My sims always seem to love cake so as soon as I put one onto a counter they all just dive in! So frustrating when I forget to pause the game lol

Writing in a journal helps with emotional control along with writing skill.
A super easy way to increase emotional control, especially if you only need a little bit to max it out, and reduce the time for negative moodlets is to write in a journal.

Oh wait this is The Sims. Carry on mate
very funny comment
doesn't confident or playful also buff the gain rate of comedy skill?
Ok i have one question what DLC packs would I need to make the super sim. because from part one to seven I would like to try it my self
No one:
Nobody at all:
Me: HE DIDN’T INVITE SANTA 😂
Awesome videos Carl!
I bet mom gets coal for Christmas every year, that’s what you get when you fight Santa, u get beat by Santa and add insult to injury you get COAL 😂
Will you try to complete all aspirations in this Super Sim's lifetime?
I guess, most of them will be a work in the park.
Why didn't you buy the charisma boost!???
Be friendly as activity and charisma boost??? I mean, they're literally right there!
EMMA BLACKERY! Thats who stood watching TV for hours.
Pure genius! 🙂
And to think, you can still boost it further with vampires and snaglefoster
with the painting why not just hold alt and drag it down the wall alittle? :O
also looks like you realized how powerful a bunch of strangers in a club doing random household activities is, now just abuse the "rally ability" and "not do do" list and you can pretty much force sims into "voluntary free labor" :D
Thank's for new knowledge! 👍
Just add Mentoring/Being mentored into the mix and it would be even more broken lol!
And Savant!
You might as wel organize your own breakfast club this way. 😂
vampire AND spellcaster? Magic Vampire?
What lifespan are you playing this on short, normal or long?
"A wild murphy bed." LMAO!!!
16:00 I wholeheartedly support 'Make Love' Day Cards. ;)
First ;)
Very Funny Idea with the Club System
I like to add cleaning to my club perks. 😂
Is your super sim available for download?
Don't you need savant too?
I didn’t realize I need to play with clubs more 🤯
Mom goes from fit to beach whale in 7 episodes lol
Hi there! Live this series. Could you upload the Adult version of him to the gallery?
It's true; combining clubs with the micro home benefit feels so overpowered I've only done it a little
Do you have lot traits?
Talk about Clubs with 5 Club members they can be in different clubs if you dont want more peeps in your club you can join another club talk to 4 members and then leave the club if you want
Please put the mom on the diet to make her lean
How do you make a top notch toddler? I think my toddler had most of the skills complete when I aged her up. 🤔😕
Gacha Girl I gotta check my child and I’ll get back to you on what she got.
A Spellcaster will get you a potion to gain skills faster, I guess that's what you are after. Are you forgetting Snaggle Fluster?
How does a sim leave s club?
Hello don't mind me im just subscribing to your channel
The only time I had a sim gain crazy skill gains was a mod that added Android traits based on Detriot: Become Human! And that's with no additional traits that give boosts.
I loved that game...lol
DO THE VAMPIRE BOOST NEXT!
that was LaurenZSide who did that 9:41
Oh, I thought he was talking about Kelsey Impicciche from Buzzfeed Multiplayer?
James Skifter her too but lauren had to stand there for an hour & eat for an hour . when he said that i knew it was her . Kelsey just cut through periods of time.
@@StardUstt2001 Too funny, I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the info!
