Here's my issue with this design- 1. I think it fixes a problem that didn't exist- I've never had a bass short strike a plopper, I've never seen a bass short strike a plopper, and I've never heard of it. What I have seen is underwater footage of them eating them and trust me- they're not short striking it. They T-bone those things man, it's violent. 2. The blade is super easy to break off- I had 2 and now both have broken blades on them. One was my fault as it got stepped on (that said a plopper would've been fine with that soft rubber blade), the other I threw out and I have no idea what it hit but- broke the blade right off- on the first cast. And it couldn't of been anything very substantial cause I went out there and looked- I couldn't find anything. and 3. The hooks catching in that blade, the blade not wanting to start, the bait rolling over, - it's just a little bit of a pain in the ass to fish. Especially when you know you can grab a choppo for about the same or less and it fishes great- or a whopper plopper for just a little more. Googan baits aren't cheap- you're paying for all that "personality" I guess- and entry into the Goober club. Thanks for the honest review man- I really appreciate you giving the bait an honest chance because it shows me that you'll do that with any bait- which means I can tune in and know I'm getting trustworthy, unbiased information.
Googan baits are extremely poorly made. I bought my first Google spinnerbait and the split ring came off and my blade fell off after one cast. Then I bought a shower diving square bill in the bill separated from the Baits body. Absolutely crap

#revolver - Same thought as you, a few casts later it was running fine. Not sure if the process had some burring somewhere, but all is good now. Nothing breaks up the day better than hearing the plopping sound; always makes my kids smile when they see it...not sure about the fish though LOL

@@DoctorSess I agree with most of what you said but- I do think they have couple of really well designed baits that don't break the bank. Their rattling neds for instance- as far as I know no one else has a ned worm with a rattle on the market. Yes you could always stick a rattle in a TRD or whatever but- why would you? Why buy two items, store two items, have to insert the rattles before you fish it- when you can just buy one pack of plastics, that didn't cost anymore than most other bags of plastics- and it's ready to throw. And they flat catch fish- especially in stained water where a regular ned bait wouldn't be noticed. Or- their popper- and I'm a connoisseur of poppers, I love them- I throw mainly Rio Rico, older P70s, and Yellow Magic- but believe it or not the Googan walks way easier and way better imo. Has a much wider glide to it and doesn't require such a delicate touch. Also is easier to get to spit instead of popping- you don't even have to remove the split ring- just tie a large knot using mono and leave a longer tag end- floats the front end right up so the bait spits instead of making that "bloop" sound. But yeah, most of it is over priced and doesn't really show that much innovation- just like a hundred other companies on the market. I bought a revolver and the plastic prop in the middle of the bait broke off after a few casts and I didn't hit anything. I've never bothered trying another. Maybe it was a defective bait but I have choppos and ploppers so I haven't tried another. #revolver
It sounds so good I was looking at it the other day but I never bought it I'm just not a plopper guy but I may have to grab one that sound is different
#revolver I’ve never had a lot of luck on plopper style baits. I’ve thrown the Whopper Plopper and now the Revolver and I really like the action of both. I guess I just need more time with them.
It and the choppo are a hard plastic. The Whopper Plopper has a soft plastic which flexes. Now anytime the hard bait hits some like a rock or tree It could break. It also means that the plopper has a better sound at a slower speed due to the flex of the fin.
I have noticed that about the fins. The river2sea is softer than others. Honestly I have more luck with the river2sea than any other brand. Haven't tried the #revolver yet.
Fished the revolver at my buddies pond the other day and caught a couple nice ones at dusk. Honestly I’ve had no issues out of any of my Google products and yeah sometimes it can be a bit much with the production and stuff but I’ve got a Lotta good information from their videos and as I said above I’ve never had any issues with their products so when you’re doing a good job and successful you’re gonna have a lot of haters 🤷♂️
Love googan baits. Only issue I’ve had with the revolver is the hooks are big enough or placed close enough that they sometimes hook together. Other than that all their products are great and well made with good hooks right out of the package. Also have the googan gold series muscle rod with a Slx dc reel and it’s amazing. Very light and comfortable and even being a heavy power rod still has the action where I can tell what my baits are doing in the water
I can tell you the gogoan blooper nabbed me 3 of the biggest fish I’ve caught all season in less than an hour. And that’s really my only experience ever with using them. But I’d try more from them.
Have several between me and my son....... the plopper does NOT plop (spin) all the time , and it dives when that happens...... it bugs the fawk out of us..... We don't use 'em! OG Whopper Plopper errrr NOTHIN'! the whopper plopper just flat out works!
#revolver. I think the revolver is pretty good. I've caught some decent ones with it. It's pretty loud. However, I prefer a choppo or WP . The revolver has two gaps for stuff to get stuck in where the others have one.
#revolver!!! Great timing on the video Hank. Been looking at these & been on the fence about them. Thanks for the review!!! Love the content!!! Keep’um comin 👊
Haven’t been able to get my hands on one of these but I do have some of their soft plastics and wire baits. Soft plastics work well for me, especially their bandito bug. Wore baits only issue I have is with their buzzbait. I’ve tried many others and straight out of the box, I don’t need to do any mods to it. With the googan buzzbait I can’t get it to swim straight. Always flips on its side. #revolver
Thanks for the #revolver review and how-to! Looks like a solid alternative to the whopper plopper. I haven't used any Googan hard baits yet. I have had good results with their soft plastics and jigs though. Perfect timing to get that gill colored Phenix spinnerbait in your MTB after that bluegill spinnerbait short video you posted the other day. I'm not familiar with Phenix but it looks like a nice spinnerbait, and I'm always down to fish a spinnerbait 😁
I'm surprised there's not more comments bashing Googan. That's what I usually see in the fishing groups. I've never tried any of their stuff yet, but some of their stuff looks pretty good. #revolver

The revolver fin looks like it would get hung up with that hook alot. A few more dollars and you'll have yourself a Whopper Plopper? The smaller ploppers might be good in a finesse kinda way too? Awesome vid!👊
I’ve caught a bunch of fish using their soft plastics… yea they’re a little soft but they catch fish… plain and simple. They smell kinda like jager too… just my 2 cents
#revolver have one in my box, I've thrown it a bit, but in tournament settings I still run with my confidence in the whopper or chopo - I will say, the more popular those two get, the better the revolver will stand out.
#revolver Keep up the great content BassGeek. Love your instructional videos. I've never tried this bait. I do have an Amazon plopper, but haven't tried it yet... was hoping to get a plopper action at a fraction of the cost, we'll see...

#revolver
I've heard this a lot.
It sounds so good I was looking at it the other day but I never bought it I'm just not a plopper guy but I may have to grab one that sound is different
It's different for sure.
#revolver I’ve never had a lot of luck on plopper style baits. I’ve thrown the Whopper Plopper and now the Revolver and I really like the action of both. I guess I just need more time with them.
Wind and be sure your getting that low slow plop sound
Caught a 4-6 on the same revolver at watts bar on 8/14/21 during tournament.
Heck yah!
I've seen on a Googan Facebook group people are say that #revolver blade is breaking a little to easy. What's ur thoughts on that?
It and the choppo are a hard plastic. The Whopper Plopper has a soft plastic which flexes. Now anytime the hard bait hits some like a rock or tree It could break. It also means that the plopper has a better sound at a slower speed due to the flex of the fin.
I have noticed that about the fins. The river2sea is softer than others. Honestly I have more luck with the river2sea than any other brand. Haven't tried the #revolver yet.
I love your content.
I love that you love it and YOU ROCK!
My order is 1) Whooper Plooper 2) Berkley Choppo. I’m not much of a Googan Guy!
Agreed
Man I’d throw that thing! I bet a black one would do well, thanks for the information!
Anytime
Great video
Thank you very much.
Nice hey If it works It works.
Have several between me and my son....... the plopper does NOT plop (spin) all the time , and it dives when that happens...... it bugs the fawk out of us..... We don't use 'em! OG Whopper Plopper errrr NOTHIN'! the whopper plopper just flat out works!
I got ya on that. It drives me nuts also.
On our last trip my son did pretty good on the #revolver. For me its the type of bait I need to build some more confidence in.
I like my whopper ploppers for sure.
#revolver. I think the revolver is pretty good. I've caught some decent ones with it. It's pretty loud. However, I prefer a choppo or WP . The revolver has two gaps for stuff to get stuck in where the others have one.
great point! Thanks.
#revolver I've been using the Choppo a couple dollars less than the plopper and fusion 19 hooks.
Love those fusions.
Thanks for the review! Let us know if we can ever help.
Thanks and I will!
#revolver!!! Great timing on the video Hank. Been looking at these & been on the fence about them. Thanks for the review!!! Love the content!!! Keep’um comin 👊
I would stay on the fence lol
@@BassGeek thanks for that buddy! Appreciate it👍
Thanks for the video Hank. Trust your reviews. I'm sticking with the WP. #revolver ✌️🎣
Me to truthfully.
I have been hesitant to try the revolver. I have wondered about the front hook catching the fin. #revolver
It does sorry to say.
#revolver
I've heard that about their buzzbaits a lot.
I love my revolver. Slays.
Good deal thanks.
If it ain't broke, dont fix it: lovin the River to Sea original Whopper Plopper!
Same. Sorry I'm behind on sending out your box but it's coming.
No problem. Looking forward to it, but in the meantime I got plenty of perch and walleye to chase.
@@TeamJesusOutdoors hahahaha
Thanks for the #revolver review and how-to! Looks like a solid alternative to the whopper plopper. I haven't used any Googan hard baits yet. I have had good results with their soft plastics and jigs though. Perfect timing to get that gill colored Phenix spinnerbait in your MTB after that bluegill spinnerbait short video you posted the other day. I'm not familiar with Phenix but it looks like a nice spinnerbait, and I'm always down to fish a spinnerbait 😁
hahaha I know that color was right on time.
I'm surprised there's not more comments bashing Googan. That's what I usually see in the fishing groups. I've never tried any of their stuff yet, but some of their stuff looks pretty good. #revolver
It's all a give an take some stuff I like some I don't that's with all bait companies.
Great video. I’m not a real big fan of Googan. Love your review vids
Yeah I get it. They have some good some bad.
I fish a lake with tons of pressure on it and I’m on the bank so I never have any luck . But I’m getting better at casting lol
Hey better casts lead to better bait placement, leads to catching bass.
I don’t have one yet # revolver. I might try one soon. Thanks for the test and opinion
Thanks and hope you let us know what ya think.
Keep up the product reviews. Enjoy watching. # Revolver
Thank you I will do my best.
The samatis bait craws have the best kick out of any I've ever used
Out of how many 1?🤣
@@440-fishermandrock8 you know of a better one? Doubt it
@@blake102989
Lol a craw style bait that kicks? 🤣🤣🤣
That's about every one ever made
I need to try it now! Thanks
Great information brother and what kind of rod is that your throwing that on and what's the purpose of the eyes on the side! Just curious 🤔 # #revolver
I've got a video talking about it. th-cam.com/video/2y8525-gFDc/w-d-xo.html
I bought some but I’ve never used them
Good luck!
#revolver. I totally agree about the “wind is your friend” with this bait
It's just better for whatever reason.
Whats up with your rod guides?
hahahah check out the review I did on this spiral guide rod. It's awesome.
I just caught a 5lb large mouth bass this morning on a #revolver. Love the channel
Noice!
Been looking into getting one of these, thanks for the info you provided.! #revolver
Thank you for watching.
@@BassGeek you got a new subscriber and cant wait to watch new content you put out
It's great that you are doing these!
They're so helpful and timely!
#Revolver.
Thank you for supporting the channel
#revolver love that bait caught monster fish with early in the morning
Good deal. Thanks
Looks like you have a broken or outta line guide on that rod... am I crazy? What exactly is the set up you were throwing in this video? Great content, brother.. keep it up . I wanna say my kids love to watch you, and they do, but it was me that got em "hooked"
Be well, brother
Great job getting the kids fishing! That is a spiral guide rod from job custom rods Check the video out.
Ain’t sold on the #revolver. A friend fish’s one,,,and it don’t out fish the plopper!!! I’ll pass on the tip about the short hooks. Enjoyed the video!!
I'm a WP guy myself.
Great Info Hank!! I still have yet to catch anything with a Whopper Plopper! I will keep on trying for sure!
#revolver
Early morning and wind.

Ur the man Hank, well done! #revolver I don't even like typing their product but need me some MTB brother.
I do like Karl’s lol Thanks man I’m on night if ya up
#revolver The revolver is okay but I prefer to throw spy bait, topwater jerk bait, popers, and frogs in the early morning and about 1hour before dusk.
I like all those myself and a big fat buzzbait
The revolver fin looks like it would get hung up with that hook alot. A few more dollars and you'll have yourself a Whopper Plopper? The smaller ploppers might be good in a finesse kinda way too? Awesome vid!👊
Thanks you and hope it helps
It doesn’t get fouled up no more than a whopper plopper, I have both and use both and it doesn’t happen as much as you would think.
@@jeremynewhouse6530 ehhh seemed more then the ones I toss but it is what it is.
I’ve caught a bunch of fish using their soft plastics… yea they’re a little soft but they catch fish… plain and simple. They smell kinda like jager too… just my 2 cents
Hey I like the soft plastics This bait however could use some work.
#revolver have one in my box, I've thrown it a bit, but in tournament settings I still run with my confidence in the whopper or chopo - I will say, the more popular those two get, the better the revolver will stand out.
Yes and great point.
Haven’t got to fish a lot lately due to work but hoping to get back out there soon. Thank you for the info! #revolver
Hope you get to hit it soon. Thanks.
#revolver Keep up the great content BassGeek. Love your instructional videos. I've never tried this bait. I do have an Amazon plopper, but haven't tried it yet... was hoping to get a plopper action at a fraction of the cost, we'll see...
Thanks I sure will do my best.
#revolver I just started using googan baits and I agree the popper is bad ass and the bandito bugs r hard to beat to but I haven't used the revolver yet great video keep up the good work
Definitely their 2 best baits you named.
#revolver good fair review. Please do one on 100 $ plus swimbaits vs 30$ ones.
Got any in mind? That would be a great video
@@BassGeek like those kgb swimbaits vs river2 sea swaver.
As a newb I love ur description, then ur how to rig and then ur example !!! Thanks for everything 🎣 #revolver
Thank you very much I hope I can help people out!
I haven't used one but like the location of the spinning part on the Whopper Plopper better, but when I win it I'll give it a shot. #revolver
I'm with ya on that.
#revolver ... Ive had a lot of fish swing at bait and miss the hooks . but the blade in middle i like .. 8 out of 10 in my opinion .
Glade ya like it.
#revolver good review hank still probably stay with the plopper just have confidence in that bait
Thanks how it helps.
#revolver
Ive been wanting to try one for a while now but haven't been able to find any at local Academy, Cabelas or Bass Pro.
It's new and try to keep them in stock is tough I'm sure.
Dicks also carries them
#revolver always got the best content
Thank you!
The #revolver seems like a decent bait, but if I was buying for full price I'd just save a few bucks and get the Choppo
I like the choppo
