Giggina is my grandmother. We call her Nonna Geggia and we love her. she loves cooking and I'm very happy that she is on a TH-cam video! Thx PastaGrannies!!
When Giggina said she loved cooking on rainy days, my heart leapt with joy. I, too, love to cook on rainy days. There’s nothing more peaceful or soul satisfying. 🥰
I am absolutely addicted to this channel - the only request I have other than keep the content coming is: could we see people eating and enjoying the dish at the end?
What a lovely woman. Gorgeous hands. Love the recipe for the meatballs with the bit of flour for extra browning. And the dappled sunlight coming through the windows. Divine! I want to be there!❤️
Love the bit where one of the crew comments on her “velocita”. She is truly a marvel, preparing that entire meal at machine speed and with the utmost attention to detail. Bravissima!
What a beautiful life she is living. What I wouldn't do to sit at her table for the lovely food she is preparing, along with listening to all her stories. The sights, the aromas, all at once. What a dream!
Me too. :)The kitchen is absolutely glorious. She's glorious too. Cooking isn't a job for her; it's entertainment. It's also a labour of love. This is what's so lacking in the modern industrialized world, where people are proud of not being able to cook. What a loss.
I have to be honest. I don' t know how to cook but i can' t stop watching all these wonderful, amazing, beautiful, lovable grannies. They remind me of my own nonna from Napoli. Grazie a tutti and a big big hug from Argentina😊😊😊
Vicky, once again you win best video recipe of the week on you tube, but Pasquale from Orsararecipes was a close 2nd with his chix noodle soup this week. Giggina is such a sweetheart & great cook, i really like this recipe with gnocchi, you know i'm irish, 56 yr. old man & i love Italian food, especially gnocchi, as pasta is to Italians, potatoes are to us Irish, yes the stereotype is true, lol, Irish folks love potatoes, lol. God bless you, the pastagrannies, & all the subs/ viewers.
I don't think I have ever seen a meatball recipe with white wine! A whole new world just opened up... I love these videos. Thank you for documenting something so important.
My three year old daughter loves cooking gnocci with me is her favorite dish . I’m addicted to this channel now , inspired me to keep my family tradition
Aside from the truly authentic and scrumptious food, the smiles and warmth these lovely grandma radiates is so satisfying to the soul. Makes you want a big hug from them. 😁 Oh how i miss my own granny too ❤
Muchas gracias Giggina! Auguri Giggina!!
I can remember my nonna always did make gnocchi ...it was a lot of work but she cooked with love so it brings nice memories watching this video....home made gnocchi is the BEST...
Everything this Granny does is BOSS!!! I'm learning so much from this channel about LOVE... These woman love their families & love to cook. Do everything with LOVE in your ❤ & it will turn out great! Thanks for these videos 💕

These ladies are great cooks who have had years of experience!! No doubt, they made it through some of the roughest times, no matter what the circumstance, and they faithfully provided for their families. Everything looks good and clean!!
Absolutely! I just discovered Pasta Grannies today and Isaid pretty much the same watching my first episode. Food is Life and in the States your taught to pay, trust-- only to be fed lab food. Look foward to pick up more skills from Pasta Grannies :D
omg she is so adorable. Reminds me of my Nonna. She threw me into the kitchen at the age of 5 and I can remember peeling enough Potatoes to make Gnocchi for 50 people - which was our Sunday meal every Sunday. Thankfully I didn't have to make Gnocchi every Sunday lol. I still have her Gnocchi Board. I miss her but seeing videos like this reminds me of her. Thank you so much for engaging in this endeavor so the old ways aren't forgotten 🥰😊🥰
This is one of my favorite videos so far. Megherz, how lucky you are to have Nona Geggia in your life. Her open kitchen looks like heaven and I love the joy she expresses while cooking! Thank you , Pasta Grannies for sharing all these wonderful videos. Keep up the good work!
I think Giggina is my favorite Pasta Granny, and I have watched every single one of your videos. In fact, I am a bit behind in watching because I am "rationing" them. I had watched almost all you had posted and then had to stop for a few weeks so that when I needed a "fix" I could log on. Thank you for these wonderful glimpses into the lives of such gracious and talented women.
I am delighted to hear you enjoy the videos so much. There are now over 250 women, so you could always go back to the beginning again 😀 best wishes, Vicky
OMG! I've got here by a random youtube suggestion and watched a few grannies in a row. Now I just subscribed and I want to make this dish desperately! Thank you for these content and kisses for the ladies!
This was also a very typical Sunday lunch/dinner meal with my family growing up! Most especially during cold winter months. Thank you so much for sharing Miss Giggina! ♥
I love all these grandmas. In this horrible pandemic times I miss more than ever those who are no longer here, my parents and grandparents. I live very far away from my brothers but we have zoom at east. Stay safe and cook some pasta!
What pleasure to watch someone who takes such joy in cooking. I wish the young people would appreciate the satisfaction you get from doing "simple" things. The smile on Giggina's face when she announces the food is ready is wonderful.
Being an Italian American, I love to cook Italian Food, People want to know How I know how to cook so many Italian Dishes, I just say I am Italian its in my blood but what they really don't know is that I watch Pasta Grannies and of course I watched my Mother.
Giggina you are the real thing. You remind me of my Mamma Virginia who was from Catania and made all types of fresh pasta. I am the only living family member interested in carrying on the tradition. You taught me a lot here. Warmly...Sal
I so enjoy these videos, and I can easily watch a dozen of them and feel lulled and comfortable, like I'm enjoying these women and their company in their home. In a day and age when everything seems so overdone, pretentious, and needlessly complicated for good food, these women and you are breaths of fresh Italian air. Well done to you and your entire team.
The dream of my life is travelling to Italia and meet grannies to teach me their recipes!! My granny is italian but she came to brazil when she was a kid, only her references in the kitchen are italian, but her recipes are brazilian. She is a great cooker too!
Que hermosa cocina, la combinación de los dos colores verde y naranja queda muy bello tanto en pared como azulejos, y tiene un horno a leña tambien, hermosa y luminosa con las dos ventanas en ángulo. Una típica cocina de campo
Have to say it is a phenomenal amount of work these ladies put into making these beauitful meals. However it just may be the secret to how they are fairng so well ? I think so. God love the pasta grannies !
She makes it look so easy for Gnocchi. a Fave ever since I first had it 30 yrs ago but sadly Missing on nearly Every Italian restaurants menu here. I love it with a cheesy sauce... Like Fontina.. The mini veal is like braciole! I learned so much with this video! Thank you!, I know I have said it before, but I am grateful that you also have them in English!
A huge clay oven and a kitchen that opens right out into the sunny patio. As a Canadian, I cannot even fathom this. It may as well be taking place on another planet.
I keep binge-watching this channel and subscribed quite a while back, like, after 2 episodes! But this one is da bomb! Such a lovely person and the gnocchi look so delicious! Gonna try to make
I love this channel and watching these videos, but it gets tortuous to watch them and not be able to eat the results. We need an invention where you can lick the screen and taste the video too. :o)
I feel like people who are depressed and going through a lot in their life should go stay with these grandmas for a while. It soothes the soul- them and their life style. They are such a source of wisdom about what is important in life.
“Speaking of flour, could you go get me that bag off the shelf?” Lol. Everyone is her sous chef (but I’m betting they’re happy to help!) Beautiful dish, and I love a good gnocchi!

I am absolutely addicted to this channel - the only request I have other than keep the content coming is: could we see people eating and enjoying the dish at the end?
Casey June, YES! I want so much to enjoy that vicarious tasting which acts as the natural conclusion in all cooking shows.
Casey yes I must remember to film that - partly because we're all too busy eating to wield a camera. best wishes, Vicky
@@pastagrannies Set up a wide shot on sticks and you won't have to wield the camera!
I will help out with eating and wielding the camera!
Oh yes I was thinking that too

Wow that outdoor 3/4 covered kitchen though!! Beautiful I’d be inspired to cook in that gorgeous weather out there too.
I watched it twice, one for the method and one to admire the kitchen!
