Thumb index middle will work if thats what you’re comfortable with. I actually thought that matt played the index first so i learned it like that haha. It works!
mannnn awesome video!!! cant believe this is on youtube haha. i have a high g sadly and it doesnt sound so nice :( im a month in my ukulele journey.. and it looks like its time for uke #2 already. low g, cutaway, tenor, bit higher quality. thanks so much for the video! will definitely learn this on thee high g and be amazed by the way it sounds later ;p
Update on this: i just got a new low g tenor, and i unleashed this beast of a piece. I had enough time to learn it and add a nice rasgueado intro to it. It sounds so good!! Anybody who doesnt have a low g yet should definitely still learn this! One you learn the technique you can use it to anything u want and itll be a breeze. Cheers.
Practice to a metronome. Start at a tempo you're comfortable with and gradually boost bpm by 5 to 10. This will continually push you to increase speed, but in a method that gets results. Same as if you went to a gym, start at 5 pounds and go to 8 or 10, don't jump to 25. Work your way up to it :)

Harikasın...ukuleleye başlarken en çok çalmak istediğim şarkı buydu ve sayende öğrendim çok teşekkür ederim. Sanırım epey pratik yapmalıyım 😁

I've always done: thumb, middle, index.

Matt's playing a Low G instead of a High G. The other strings remain the same :)
What can one do to move faster?
