Was about to buy this spring because im looking for stiffer contra for my Honda Vario 150. They market it here(Philippines) as a way to lessen vibration on take off and improve performance. I think ill just look somewhere else.
The spring reduce performance... in indo, they market it the same way.. reduce vibration and improve performance.. the vibration is actually caused by the front pulley.. not sure why everyone blame the clutch and spring..
@@renevictorgalanga3695 seems like pcx adv and vario spring are about the same diameter.. stiffer? That im not sure.. i dont have a vario spring with me..
I use the obd2 scanner to datalogged using the torque app then export it to csv file.. and finally using excel to plot the graph.. or you could directly use the torque app to display the graph..
sir have you heard of tfc brand pulley and clutch plate from taiwan?they said it does a lot of change in torque and speed.Kinda expensive though.Hope you can make a review on this,Thanks more power.
I just bought this kit with 13,8 degree pulley and 18 gram roller. Acceleration is not good. But mid to high is better than stock. Any solution? Or i must change thai pcx spring to stock spring?
18gram is way too heavy for 13.8 pulley.. thai pcx spring is a SCAM.. use back the stock spring.. i really wonder who started this thai pcx spring SCAM and the bearing seater SCAM...
hello malex. just ordered this kit and i dont know much about cvt upgrades. so if i install this kit to my adv but use the stock spring, what's the end result? do i get quicker acceleration? top speed?
If you got this kit, top speed will be the same.. stock spring will give you better acceleration.. i suggest you get other front pulley if you want top speed.. this kit is pretty much useless other than the clutch bowl...
Updates.. please stay away from this kit from the time being.. theres a problem with the front pulley... the old batch of 13.8 design is still useable.. the new batch comes with 13.5 angle with bad height.. no top speed.. i will do another video update on the kit problem..
Follow up question my friend. is 13.8 better than 13.5 degree in terms of accelaration and top speed? just a suggestion do a video on 13.5 vs 13.8 degree angle pulley sets 😁
13.5 better acceleration but no top speed. There are 13.8 in the market with better acceleration with no top speed as well.. it all depends on the one that created the variator..
The torque/contra big spring that came with the kit reduce your bike performance.. instead of going faster youre actually going slower.. i dont recommend using the 3 clutch spring that came with the kit also well.. its too soft.. the rest of the kit is fine and safe to use..

The problem with soft spring is that, it will make the v-belt slip....

If you just want more pick up without any top speed increase, you can use the front pulley in the kit..

Theres no difference between the stock and ktc spring.. the ktc spring is slightly softer.. just use the stock spring..

Its hard to recommend any pulley at the moment.. the people who sold me the recommended pulley change the pulley dimension..
