    I believe the belt just broke on mine, at 13.5k miles.
    Lost power to the back wheel at 60mph on the interstate.
    The engine starts and idles normally, but when revving it sounds as though it's in neutral and spinning very freely, nowhere for the energy to go.
    Still able to push it forward with my feet, but the engine isn't causing the back wheel to move at all.
    Your video has helped me a lot, to understand what might be wrong, and whether I should take it to the dealership.

      Don't take it to the dealership, it's a very easy job (I just replaced both clutch bearings on my PCX150, which is a little more involved). Just watch Mitch's videos.

      @@Visionery1I appreciate it. The dealership is booked up until after Thanksgiving (about 2 months) so I'll definitely be doing it myself!

    Hello Mitch nice work . I would like to ask you if you can't find torque specs on factory manual of the bolts is there any other guide you use in order to torque them properly ?

    • @MitchsScooterStuff
      @MitchsScooterStuff  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, that part is tough... I just looked at other scooters with a similar setup/design. The ADV and PCX are alike, so I checked the torque specs for the PCX

    Hello, what about those new rollers? Did you see any significant difference compared do the original ones? Any decrease/improvement on torque or highway cruising speed? Thank you.

    • @MitchsScooterStuff
      @MitchsScooterStuff  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey, these called sliders… I am big fan of sliders over rollers… smoother take off, last longer and lower rpm at high speed. I normally go one gram heavier than stock. But if you want faster acceleration, go lighter

    Nice work Mitch, just need your opinion, how if I replace the dry lube with silicon oil at the roller groove?

    • @MitchsScooterStuff
      @MitchsScooterStuff  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! Hmm I feel like dry lubricant is better at not attract the dust.... but maybe I'm wrong? I asked ChatGPT.... this is what it says ....
      It depends on the application and the specific conditions.
      Silicone oil is best for situations where you need long-lasting lubrication, moisture protection, and resistance to temperature changes. It's non-staining and works well on rubber, plastics, and metal without breaking down materials. It's good for preventing sticking or squeaking in things like door hinges or window tracks.
      Dry lubricant spray (often made with PTFE or graphite) is better for areas where you don't want dust or debris to stick. It dries to a clean, non-greasy film and works well in high-friction areas, like locks, sliding tracks, or bike chains, where you need smooth operation without attracting dirt.
      For general outdoor use or on parts that move frequently, silicone oil could be a better choice. For dusty environments or precision mechanisms, dry lubricant spray might be better.

    • @Visionery1
      @Visionery1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would be reluctant to use any lubricant as it may 'fume' at the high temps inside the casing and coat the pulleys, potentially causing belt slip. The manual doesn't mention any lubricant on the rollers either.

      Very similar, but not identical.
      There is no check hole for the transmission oil on the ADV, but there is one on the PCX.
