Apparently my country (UK) is not allowed. Bit disappointed on that as I'm pretty keen. I've not got that much to invest, but would love to be a part of what you're doing.
Considering that Canada & International investors don't have to provide any documentation for proof of meeting accreditation requirements, doesn't that mean that you can still invest if you don't meet any requirement? What can happen it that's the case and you still invest at more than 1.5M?
well dam, I missed out of the available stocks for Canadian folk by day 2 or 3. Only accredited shares left i guess. will there be another round at some point? would love to help out.
It’ll be available to those that buy a truck. When it’s finished well released it to the public on our website so tuners can play with performance and learn
It has be profitable and right now the only proprietary thing they have is the software, they have stated that so I hope they restrict it so it can't be copied and the business doesn't go under when the bigger companies copy cat the platform from the physical hardware side.
Unless you develop your own engine management it's going to require oem diagnostic equipment. Oem tools are just a fact of life when it comes to vehicles and equipment. Oem specialty tools are needed for servicing injection systems and even down to the socks required for the axle nuts. Abs is a requirement for trucks in Canada and the United States and bendix is the main supplier, oem tools and software is needed to service those systems.
Maybe there is someone on here that knows how to get the new administration to do something about the rules so us unaccredited Americans can invest cause im in the boat and would to invest been watching since the start
Start a SPAC on the Nasdaq and have it acquire your "Edison toys" company selling toy models of your truck designs and merch. Use the surplus to fund Edison Motors, which you don't have to list on the market.
Please people! There is a website for the company (have people forgotten companies have them?), there is an investment page on that website with FAQ, there are contact forms on the website and (for non-US) the crowdfunding page have an (empty now) Q&A. Do your due diligence by reading and be aware what you may do with your money. Even though the Edison Motors account is answering some comment I fear for people that (what it looks like) want to ask an important investment question on a youtube comment. Which the answer can be unintentionally vague or misunderstood, can be deleted later, or the video can be taken down etc. I think Edison Motors are clear enough but yeah the people who want to part way with their money so easily with just a button click after a quick comment is maybe not the best investors. And I'm not going to post any link, one should always only take links from reliable sources. It's in the video description.
I support you guys all the way. Sorry I can't help you more then just watch TH-cam. But please be the only company that take care also EM radiation in the cab. Truck drivers are sitting/living in the cab for long time each day. For that long exposure to EM radiation it must be as small as possible. But all cables in conduits that mediate those EM and no Bluetooth and WiFi if possible. Have drivers health in mind as well.

So need to note that all these rules are for a ?? LLC - not a public company - many international companies have a lot more stringent rules on numbers of investor in a Private Company (use of trust funds to allow many members to invest - with legal protection... A City in Victoria, Australia is now regulating (with administrative fees and permits) who can work on their own vehicles on private property.. How about corporate (Private LLC, Pty Ltd Co..etc ) investors fron "international" - Australia... (I could potentially throw 100k that way... Though personally not meeting the "Accredited" / Sophisticated investor - though I am more sophisticated than many of the Angel Snakes - "sophisticated" - means they probably won't sue or cry "fraud" when 500k of theirs gets burnt buying corporate private jets and Ferraris - as many startups seem to prioritise...) ...

Well fuck. So much for investing in something i vould probably benefit from in the future. I do road construction trucking and could easily see an edison truck in our fleet at some point during my career. Too bad you can't just gift some shares in return for donations. You guys have a really worthy cause and it sucks that us truckers cant invest in something that hits so close to home.
Thank You for these updates Mister Barber. I'd love to pick up some Edison stock on the TSX.V exchange. Not sure what the details of that would be tho. Good Luck Is the 1.5M limit per investor or total out of Canada?
It's private so no stock exchange (thus far). 1.5 M was "crowdfunding" stock for Canadian and international (though I haven't seen international work) with the exception of the US. They have some cap (I don't remember how high) since they want the smaller loyal games instead of big inventors. Beyond those 1.5M there is only for accredited investors. Within Canada that seemed relaxed (up to you), for the US it's strict. All the info on the website, there you get it more reliably than what I remember.
What country if you want to share? In Sweden I couldn't even enter a proper postal code. I haven't tried the investment yet since I want that sorted out first (sent a ticket to FrontFundr).
@@subwarpspeedFinland. I was able to put a single character in there and got through. But I just received a cancellation email saying international investors need to be accredited
It seems it was the first 1.5M in crowd funding, which is filled up, that was open to anyone except the US. The rest seems to be accredited only. Some rules of going public directly (?) if too much money came from crowdfunding.
The interesting thing if you think about it is that our vehicles are starting to designed like World War 2 German tanks work. Think about back in the day. I definitely would invest. Bummed.
Apparently my country (UK) is not allowed. Bit disappointed on that as I'm pretty keen. I've not got that much to invest, but would love to be a part of what you're doing.
You guys are doing a great job
Nic ( UK )
I can’t be invest but if I could I would these guys will be the trucks my kids will drive
If I made the qualifications I would totally invest in you guys. I'm excited about you guys are doing.
Considering that Canada & International investors don't have to provide any documentation for proof of meeting accreditation requirements, doesn't that mean that you can still invest if you don't meet any requirement? What can happen it that's the case and you still invest at more than 1.5M?
Sad that im not able to invest. Best of luck to you.
I’m in! Can’t wait to see you grow
well dam, I missed out of the available stocks for Canadian folk by day 2 or 3. Only accredited shares left i guess. will there be another round at some point? would love to help out.
When is the source code to the software used in the trucks going to be available.
It’ll be available to those that buy a truck.
When it’s finished well released it to the public on our website so tuners can play with performance and learn
@@EdisonMotors the Linux model of open source software would be very beneficial for Edison.
@@EdisonMotors Do you plan to open source the software, or just make the code viewable, but not license it so others can modify it?
Hope for all the best. If you go full on public some day I’ll buy stock but I don’t meet the accrediting requirements for the US. CLose. But not yet.
Maybe there is someone on here that knows how to get the new administration to do something about the rules so us unaccredited Americans can invest cause im in the boat and would to invest been watching since the start
EDISON! most of us can invest because we dont meet criteria. But you should sell merch! I would totally buy stickers and a hat for your business.
You should check their website, they've had merch shop a long time.
Do you have any merch or gear we can buy to support the cause?? I hope you guys reach your goals. 👍🏾👍🏾
We do have merch on our website!
Buy his merchandise that helps
Start a SPAC on the Nasdaq and have it acquire your "Edison toys" company selling toy models of your truck designs and merch. Use the surplus to fund Edison Motors, which you don't have to list on the market.
Hell talk to saber interactive about getting there truck in snowrunner as a DLC or whatever new game there coming out with
It's a shame crowdfunding is limited to 1.5m
❤ im looking fwd to supporting your business ^_^
I would invest. Keep up good work. Maybe a retro fit truck kit someday?
Pickup truck sized
I support you guys all the way. Sorry I can't help you more then just watch TH-cam.
But please be the only company that take care also EM radiation in the cab. Truck drivers are sitting/living in the cab for long time each day. For that long exposure to EM radiation it must be as small as possible. But all cables in conduits that mediate those EM and no Bluetooth and WiFi if possible. Have drivers health in mind as well.
I would also love to work with / for you guys I think what you're doing is brilliant It's what needs to be done I don't understand why we have to reinvent the wheel every time we make something electrified and then add a whole bunch of lights to it to make sure that you know that it's electrified while sacrificing a bit of range in the process It's not about efficiency it's about virtue signaling but alas I'm broke car guy with an electronics degree in Michigan without a passport and would love to see you guys expand into a company that is not based on hype but actually based on a product that people want we seem to forgotten that in the last few decades
I can’t wait to buy one of your trucks for a rig tender!
not missing out this time.... keep at it Chase
Too bad I can't invest with you. Will keep and eye on your growth. Good luck.
Will you have staff accommodation in golden? Or allow RV parking on site? I would relocate for sure to work for you.
Sorry but it looks like i can't help with finding until the light duty truck conversion hits become available in the United States whenever that happens if it ever does.
If I invest through the crowd funding, do i get shares?
Read in the that investment page (linked in the description), it's the best you can do to know what you would be doing.
I would so invest into you guy's. Sorry I don't meet your qualifications here in the U.S. brother.
More reasons I hate goverment intervention. The monopolies can't let people invest in an uncorrupted competitor.
So happy it's going well for you, but sad I can't get in on it.
Would LOVE to invest, but I'm not accredited. Hopefully you get the non-accredited US investor approval soon!
Thank You for these updates Mister Barber.
I am satisfied with not being part of the investment support for Edison if it means keeping the ultra-wealthy from gaining control and overriding Your intentions.
If a way is found to sell single shares or a Edison Crypto Coin, i am certain that many of us would flock to buy.
Thanks again Chace and Best Wishes to everyone at Edison Motors for the Holiday Season.
Could there be some kind of GoFundMe page for the new shop? I'm not really looking to "invest", just donate really. That said, I don't make over $200K yearly lol
We could set something up like that, I don’t want people to give us money for free though. I’d like them to still get something
@@EdisonMotors I like that attitude. GoFundMe and IRL should be for people in dire need after some unforeseeable/hard to avoid event.
If people feel the urge to donate, that is noble because they just want to participate. It is also noble for Chace to deny donations in favor of giving something more substantial in return. Me watching this dialog between you two restores my faith in humanity.
What about gold plated and signed Edison Motors collectors edition hats. Sell for $100 each.
I'd love to pick up some Edison stock on the TSX.V exchange. Not sure what the details of that would be tho. Good Luck
Is the 1.5M limit per investor or total out of Canada?
It's private so no stock exchange (thus far).
1.5 M was "crowdfunding" stock for Canadian and international (though I haven't seen international work) with the exception of the US.
They have some cap (I don't remember how high) since they want the smaller loyal games instead of big inventors.
Beyond those 1.5M there is only for accredited investors. Within Canada that seemed relaxed (up to you), for the US it's strict.
All the info on the website, there you get it more reliably than what I remember.
I'm in.
That crowd funding website is buggy af. submitted from Europe even though it says Europe is not eligible. You might want to talk to them
What country if you want to share? In Sweden I couldn't even enter a proper postal code. I haven't tried the investment yet since I want that sorted out first (sent a ticket to FrontFundr).
@@subwarpspeedFinland. I was able to put a single character in there and got through. But I just received a cancellation email saying international investors need to be accredited
Trying to invest from Australia but Frontfundr but not letting accepting investors from here. Any other way I can support the work?
Please let us know when we can invest from the rest of the world, Australia is keen!
It seems it was the first 1.5M in crowd funding, which is filled up, that was open to anyone except the US. The rest seems to be accredited only. Some rules of going public directly (?) if too much money came from crowdfunding.
I’m trying to set up my profile on FrontFundr, but the address form only accepts Canadian postal codes, even though I selected a different country.
The interesting thing if you think about it is that our vehicles are starting to designed like World War 2 German tanks work. Think about back in the day. Only the company who created those specialized tools for those specialized tanks could be used on those one simple thing. That's why Jeremy lost the war 'cause they never standardized everything. The right to repair, it was not a thing
Are there any alternate forms of investment such as pre-order? Unfortunately most of the people who want to back this just don't meet the income requirements.
