- Sony ZV-E10 II (ZVE10M2) Camera Review
This camera review will look at the specifications of Sony's second version of its interchangeable-lens APS-C/S35 vlogging camera. It now shares the same backside illuminated sensor (BIS) and Bionz XR processing chip as the FX-30 and A6700 cameras. I take a look at whether the lack of mechanical shutter, electronic viewfinder, and In Body Image Stabilisation negatively impacts on what this camera is able to capture. I also look at the Sony lenses that have Optical SteadyShot as this becomes an important factor when shooting stills or movies with telephoto lenses.

The best camera reviews as always. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
Loved this review thanks mate
Thanks for the positive feedback
Love it ❤
It does produce excellent movies quality
Hi, thanks for the info. How good is the full HD video quality? I don’t use 4k most of the time. 😊
I would personally shoot in 4K and export HD from your video editing software. This also gives you the creative options to zoom or pan in post or reframe your image.
@@AlphaCreativeSkills thanks. :)
Your suggested Mk3 updates should be in updated FX30 or maybe a6800 before that.
It would be interesting for some to see how they can be used to capture video with remote control: static tripod wirh PZ lenses or; mounted in gimbals; remote control via PC when also using software like OBS; 1080P crop from 4K camera output to allow limited digital pan+tilt & zoom.
I think the FX30 is already a well-thought out and good value for money Cinema-line camera. I was looking to suggest a Vlogging camera with superior specs for the hybrid shooter.
Its stupid, that they've removed mechanical shutter...I wanted upgrade my ZVE10 original to the mark II, but I am not shure about it now...Is it really bad now for photos?
If you take stills then purchase the A6700. The ZV-E10 II will be fine for stills where the subject is not moving very rapidly. The other limitations were outlined in this video, i.e., BULB mode and HSS flash.
Waiting for 3rd gen of ZVE10 soon
Waiting for the perfect camera ...which will never exist
I am surprised that not even third party manufacturers make a clip-on evf, they tend to fill all possible gaps, I like the camera anyway as a complement to my full frame cameras, by the way , does it use the full width of the senssor in 4k 24/30p or does still have the mild 1.05 crop that the a6700 has?
If there was a 1.05 crop I didn't notice it. I was, however, hand-holding at all times so I was only interested in using Active SteadyShot
ok, your test footage looks beautiful anyway...
@21:10 chart - FX30 does not have the ZV-E1 Dynamic Active Steady Shot.
Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the error.
A Vlogging Camera without IBIS? 🤣
How does that compute?
As outlined in the video review I was hand-holding 135mm with 1.5x clear image zoom.
I suspect this camera will be greatly discounted after 6-months. If you watched the review you will note that I would choose the A6700 over the ZV-E10 II until such time that the ZV-E10 II drops in price, and I encouraged Sony to make a fully featured APS-C/S35 vlogging camera that is not necessarily the cheapest in class.
First
Thanks for watching
