Reminds me back in 2016-17 when I had six S9's in my condo also because I had free power...Funny thing is, management about once a month would come up with excuses to go into people units likely looking for a pot grower or something. They would have excuses of checking the fire alarms, next month checking the washroom vents, next month checking the water pipes lol..But it was a pain because I'd hafto dismantle everything and hide it, but as soon as they were gone I was back up and running till they came around again. I would have huge extension cables coming from the stove and dryer plugs as they were 240V...I miss those days.
Please be careful with barrel jacks, they are usually only rated for 7.5 amps, a few maybe up to 10 amps. The KS0's are meant to run at 19v input to lower the amperage on the barrel jack. 100w/19v=5.2Amps. 100w/12v=8.3Amps.
Thanks brotha Ill keep an eye on it. Its been running all week on the pervious setup (120v n old psu) so fingers crossed on the new wires I have coming in today!
I bought the correct size barrel jack but decided not to use them. I oc'd my ks0 to 140gh and did not want to risk running it at 12v when the amps would be 8amps+.
Mine is OC to 120 and the KS0 Pro works just fine as well
How do you know that the machine can run on 12v, in the first place?
Also, how do you know you can grab 2 wires and it would be delivering the right amount of power?

I taught to use a older psu from my S9 and convert it, We need a 6 pin connector on those ks0s, thanks for the stream :)

@@gorankunovic6404 The chip inside the KS0 is not working on 19v or 12v it's way lower. You only need a bit bigger wire because 100watts on 19v is 5.3amps and 100watts on 12v is 8.4amps.

i think those KS0's need a steady 19volts, the server psu only delivers 12v rite, if thats try, then you might ruin those units.
For Kso pro, could you please suggest quality power cords to connect to an outlet where I can buy ? Thanks
Not a fan of those breakout boards, I had 3 of them stop working in the last year. They were only connected to a KD Box II. When you talk to the company they say you are pushing them too hard. 🤦♂

KS0 is sold out but looks like they still taking orders. Is this going to turn into another helium miner situation with ppl waiting 9 months past their delivery dates for miners? Thinking about buying but don't not sure if this is going to up teh same way.
Oh nah it shouldn’t be like that with these units (assuming because they are already shipping). Helium miners were not shipped AT ALL for 9 months or what ever it was. Hate that project.

who dare to test it with 24v PSU? usually used by 3d printer. 100w/24v = 4..16Amps, Ive been looking for some clue of how to do it, the amazon/ebay stuff usually fake asus or other brand.

You can buy the miner but they don’t have a power supply unit for it… it’s sold out hmmmm😂
I guess the original PSUs are more efficient than the server PSUs.
Over all both plugged in they are not but it was weird tbh!
My dude, is there a noob way of doing this by simply snapping off the cables from the laptop power supplies? Sure, you would brick them, then again who cares? It is not that I would have a new use case for them. Especially for someone who is not all in with the DYI man cave like you, maybe that could be achieved easier by DIY dad, seeing how getting the right size connectors etc seems to be a huge pain?
