    Some incorrect information:
The Prophet (PBUH) returned to Mecca after 10 years of Hijra, not 8 years.
The Prophet didn't attack Mecca but the year before the Prophet and the Muslims were barred from entering Mecca for Hajj (pilgrimage) by the Meccan idols worshipper pagans. But instead of fighting them, the Prophet agreed to sign an agreement with them (The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah) which ensured that the Muslims would not perform the Pilgrimage that year and return to Medina, and would make the pilgrimage the following year. So, on the 10th year of his Hijra, the Prophet and the Muslims entered Mecca peacefully based on the treaty. By then the Meccans already knew they were in no position to stop and fight the Muslims. All the Meccans were forgiven except a very few who committed severe crimes against humanity. The relatives of the victims had strong reservations in forgiving them but bringing under justice.

‘’Mohamad becomes the father of a new religion. He is one of the most influential figures in the history.’’
In this definition, the message is more related to a new system instead of a new religion. The reference is on a monarch when you say the father of a new religion and the emphasis is on the key figure or a political leader when you quote as the most influential figure in the history instead of a prophet. When you apply this comment to George Washington or Benjamin Franklin it surely well fits but does not relate to our faith or our prophecy.
