Just found you, excellent video! Lol, when you started saying it was getting a bit nippy , let me tell you that our forecast for tomorrow is 38 C. 🥵 The air conditioner will be on all day! ( we live in South Australia) . So maybe no sewing for a few days 😀. Have subscribed, so i can binge watch TH-cam to pass the time till it cools down.
Thanks for the video. I have made two versions of the Ilford, and one was for my daughter in law, who wears it constantly. I am so glad you included the September coat. It looks interesting, and I may want to pick one up. I am actually planning to make a chore coat from corduroy as my next make. I am going to use a Big 4 pattern. I am narrowing it down from three choices right now. I think I'll make quick muslin to check for fit. I want something with a simple straight sleeve, standard collar, buttons down the front, and big patch pockets. Happy sewing!
It's always fun to hear of people's process, and same issues that we all have. I'm a sucker for outerwear and have a small closet full me made jackets. Haven't made any of your 3 patterns. Love my Tessuti boiled wool patterns, Pona Jacket, and the free Fabric-Store jacket. Yours are very nice.
I made the Ilford Jacket last year for my daughter and son. I made a toile and tried the sleeve placket and failed so I made them both in the boxy sleeve.
If I have enough fabric, I think I am going to change the sleeve. You may remember, but the insertion is kimono-like and therefore I think I can change the sleeve without too much fuss.
Beautiful jackets! I love that term “Chore Coat”, haven’t heard that before but it fits perfectly with a jacket I would use around my home. Great video! Happy Sewing ❤️ ~Tiffany
Great jackets! FYI The September Coat is available in extended sizing up to a UK 28 or a B 55” W 48.5” and H 57.5”. The D cup size band is UK 18-28 in both paper and pdf.
Your jackets are fabulous ! I see the difference of the two Stackers but can you tell us what the ease is from your across your back to across the back of the jacket please? I have no knowledge of what we need, to have a jacket that does not restrict our activities other than super loose 😊
Impressive Kathy! I haven’t made a jacket in decades, but have a few patterns for them. (Poz from itch to stitch and Octave from LN) I think yours have all turned out beautifully 😊

I will have my husband measure my back when he gets home. All I can say is that I have never needed a broad back adjustment. I checked my sewing several times, including the sleeve placement, but I could not find any errors. What did you think of the comparison of the pattern pieces? Was it boring?
Can't say which I love best - they are all wonderful and I really like all the colors. Great job! Thanks for sharing.
These jackets are so rad!
Jackets? Never even thought to make jacket. You’re amazing!
Thankyou for the information and the review. I have the Ilford pattern and am looking forward to making it.
Wonderful! I wish you luck. Do you have any fabric?

You are so welcome! and thank you for watching!
Ooh so lovely! I especially love the color of the red coat and the shape of the last coat! Such great work ♥️
Thank you so much! I was Saving that corduroy for a jacket and love the color too. I might need to change the sleeve.
Kathy, My favorite is the last one, September jacket. It fits you best and the color looks very nice on you.

Thanks Suzanne. I think I like it best too.

Hi, thanks for watching. I will definitely check those patterns out. I love the look of boiled wool.

Tiffany, Love that! I am the state to your left, Kentucky!
I really liked the two Stacker jackets, especially the aqua one.
Is your blouse the Harmony blouse?

I'm working on utility jackets, too!
Hi Donna! Great minds… what fabric have you found?

Thanks, maybe you’ll make a jacket just like you desire!
Please check your cuffs on the Ilford. They seem to be going in opposite directions.
Right? I noticed something was off right before the video!
Love your jackets! I also love the top you're wearing, is it from a pattern? Great job!😊👍❤️
The top I’m wearing is the Love Notions Harmony blouse. I have a video about it last month. Thanks for watching!
