Thanks for the tutorial! Is it possible to make the cape a separate actor and then attach it to the neck bone, while still having the cape collide with the character's physics asset?
I don't know if you'll ever see this or if you've found a solution but it is possible. all you have to do is make the cape and parent it to the character's skeleton in an external program like blender then follow all the regular steps and attach the cloth skeletal mesh to the character mesh and use the set master pose node
hey Sir an you please update this video or make a new one. we got sevreral problems with collision and physic also attachment system. for example: when i add a socket > Cape to my DudeCharacter_Mesh i dont have this Cape in my PlayerBlueprint. When i hit Play. no Cape is there. When i add a Actor into my Playerblueprint its ignore the Physic of the CharacterMesh. What did i miss ? Further: I tried to make my Cape as Blueprint and add it into the Playerblueprint as Actor child. ok. When i hit Pla i have my Character and the cape. BUT the physic is horror. as i say, the now the Blueprint Cape ignores also the Physics of the Character Mehs, even when i add a new collison body to the bones to cover the whole Neck Backside. its ignoring and fly through the whole Player. Can you please help me to add my Cape to my Player. it dosent matter as a Socket into the Character Mes or as BLueprint as a Actor child. i want just to make this playable with correct physics. thank you hope you can give me some replies on here. Unreal has a very strong community i learned. so i hope someone can help me, or at least guide me to a functionally tutorial for cloth/cape, thank you. im using 4.24 and 4.25 as well
Hofei Hang I think I saw a button somewhere when "create cloth asset"... the thing you want is called intercollision but I dont knos if its supported yet...maybe try set self collision valueS of bot cloth to 1 just for testing ^^"

Hey! I have a project updated from 4.15 using Apex cloth and now all my settings have been reset after moving to 4.16 and I cant quite get the same effect with the new NvCloth, I also cant seem to find the ClothPaint Tab in my character mesh, any suggestions?

No...not possible

yes you can ...jsut set gravity negative....actualy gives a nice effect^^
