Thank you for pointing out the juxtaposition between the opening and closing shots of the movie. I had that same thought too.
Watched today.
Cillian Murphy.
Emily Blunt
Robert Downing Jr
and lastly
the sound design. never i thought Inception will be topped in that category. Well Hans Zimmer had to hold.
I love this movie! The visuals, music, story progression, casting and historical significance!
You didn't mention it here, but something I wanna note as a student of History, this film's historical accuracy is so pinpoint I can't find much to say "oh this is exaggerated" or "this is just made up for dramatic effect" etc. The fact they made such a compelling film without embellishing really shows just how great Nolan and co. are as film makers.
Cillian Murphy is one of my favorite actors of all time. His performance as Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders, is one of my favorite leading performances in any live action show. So i say this because hes just as good here (albeit i still prefer his Thomas performance) this movie goes by fast to the point i checked my phone and said" damn we only have an hour left?" im shocked at how they got so many actors just for them to not be in the movie that much but still make them engage. While Spider-Verse is still my favorite of the year, this a good second place spot for me.
At the end he was staring into the water, seeing the ripples from the rain drops and imagining the nuclear missiles detonating, creating similar shock waves.
My favourite movie of 2023 so far. Leta see if dune 2 can top it.
And also Inception gets better.
RICHARD.
How does this have so few views??
Algos 🥲
My favourite scene was the dialogue with Truman.
We spent all the movie with brillant people and here we are stuck with a complete moron who got nuclear power.
